Abstract
Det beskrives et katalysatorsystem omfattende en katalysator og et reduksjonsmiddel. Katalysatoren omfatter en metalloksid-katalysatorbærer, et katalyserende metalloksid og et aktiverende metall. Det katalytiske metalloksid omfatter galliumoksid, indiumoksid eller en kombinasjon av de to. Det aktiverende metall omfatter minst ett av metallene sølv, kobolt, vanadium, molybden, wolfram, sink, tinn og vismut. Katalysatoren omfatter fra ca. 5 mol% til ca. 31 mol% katalytisk metalloksid og fra ca. 0,5 til ca. 9 mol% aktiverende metall. Reduksjonsmidlet omfatter et gassformig eller flytende hydrokarbon med minst 4 karbonatomer. Det beskrives videre en fremgangsmåte for å redusere NOx til N2 ved bruk av det beskrevne katalysatorsystem ved at nevnte NOx , blandes med et reduksjonsmiddel og blandingen føres gjennom en katalysator i det omtalte katalysatorsystem.
