Abstract
Un horno (70) y un método para encenderlo, en donde parte del combustible suministrado al horno se produce de plásticos residuales mediante un proceso de despolimerización, el calor residual del horno se usa para promover el proceso de despolimerización. El horno (70) es equipado con regeneradores (80, 82) para la recuperación de calor residual y es encendido alternativamente en primeras y segundas direcciones opuestas, la dirección de caldeo se invierte periódicamente entre la primera dirección y la segunda dirección. El suministro de combustible al horno (70) se interrumpe temporalmente mientras la dirección de caldeo es invertida, se proveen medios para acomodar el combustible producido durante la interrupción temporal. El horno puede ser usado para producir vidrio.
