Abstract

발광 디바이스의 행렬은 멀티스텝(multi-spet) 전압파형을 반복적으로 가하도록 구성된 전압원과 화소(pixel)의 행렬을 포함하고, 화소 각각은 전압원에 접속되어 있다. 행령을 구동하는 방법은, 화소 각각에 주사 및 이미지 데이터 액티브 신호를 가함으로서 행렬내의 화속 각각을 어드레싱하는 것(상기 이미지 데이터 액티브신호는 화소로부터 전압원에 대한 복귀부까지 전류의 패스(path)를 완결함으로서 화소를 액티브화 하는데 이용된다)과, 전압의 멀티 스텝 파형을 반복적으로 공급하기 위하고 상기 화소에 멀티 스텝 각각의 각 스텝을 순차적으로 가하기 위한 전압원을 엑티브화시키는 것과, 제공된 스텝 각각에 대해 행렬내의 상기 화소 각각을 어드레싱하는 것을 포함한다.

Claims (4)

  1. 발광 디바이스로 된 행렬에 대한 엑티브 구동장치에 있어서, 엑티브화 된 경우 멀티 스텝 전압 파형을 반복적으로 가하도록 구성된 전압원과, 발광 디바이스에서 각각의 발광 디바이스는 전압원에 접속된 제1접점과 제2접점을 포함하며 이 발광 디바이스의 다수의 행과 다수의 열을 포함하는 행렬과, 각 발광 디바이스와 각각 연관되고, 상기 연관된 발광 디바이스의 제2접점에 접속된 제1전류 운송 단자와 공통 단자에 접속된 제2전류 운송단자를 포함하고, 또한 제1 및 제2 엑티브 입력 단자를 더 포함하고, 신호들이 엑티브되었을 경우에 엑티브신호가 상기 제1 및 제2전류 운송 단자 사이의 회로를 완전하도록 구성되고 제1, 제2엑티브 입력 단자를 제공하는 각 반도체 스위치로 구성된 다수의 반도체 스위치를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 디바이스의 행렬에 관한 엑티브 구동 장치.
  2. 발광 디바이스 행렬에 한 엑티브 구동장치에서, 다수의 출력단을 포함하고 엑티브화된 경우 출력단 각각에 대해 순차적으로 멀티 스텝 전압 파형을 반복적으로 가하도록 구성된 전압원과, 전압원의 다수의 출력단 중의 제1출력단에 접속된 제1접점을 포함하는 다수의 발광 디바이스에서 제2접점을 갖는 제1발광 디바이스와 전압원의 다수의 출력단 중의 제2출력단에 접속된 제1접점을 포함하는 다수의 발광 디바이스에서 제2접점을 갖는 제2발광 디바이스를 포함한 다수의 발광 디바이스를 포함하는 각 화소들로 구성된 화소들의 다수의 행과 다수의 열을 포함하는 행렬과, 화소 각각과 각각 연관되고, 상기 연관된 화소의 제1 및 제2발광 디바이스 각각의 제2접점에 접속된 제1전류 운송 단자와 공통의 단자에 접속된 제2전류 운송단자를 포함하고, 또한 제1 및 제2 엑티브 입력 단자를 더 포함하며, 엑티브신호가 제1 및 제2엑티브 입력 단자 모두에 가해진 경우에만 제1 및 제2전류 운송 단자 사이의 회로를 완전하도록 구성된 각 반도체 스위치로 구성된 다수의 반도체 스위치를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 디바이스의 행렬에 관한 엑티브 구동 장치.
  3. 발광 디바이스의 행렬을 구동하는 방법에 있어서, 엑티브화된 경우 멀티 스텝 전압 파형을 반복적으로 가하도록 구성된 전압원을 제공하는 단계, 상기 전압원에 접속된 제1접점과 제2접점을 포함하는 각 화소로 구성된 화소들의 다수의 행과 다수의 열을 포함하는 행렬을 제공하는 단계, 화소 각각의 상기 제2접점에서 상기 전압원에 대한 복귀까지 전류경로를 완전하게 하여 화소가 엑티브화되는 경우를 결정하는 데 상기 행렬의 각 화소들에 대한 이미지 데이터 엑티브 신호와 주사신호를 상기 행렬의 화소 각각에 가함으로서 행렬의 화소 각각을 어드레싱하는 단계, 전압의 멀티 스텝 파형을 반복적으로 공급하기 위한 상기 전압원을 엑티브하고, 상기 화소에 각 멀티 스텝 전압 파형을 각 단계에 순차적으로 공급하여, 전압 파형이 공급된 각 단계에 대해 상기 행렬내 각 화소를 어드레싱 하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 디바이스의 행렬을 구동하는 방법.
  4. 발광 디바이스의 행렬을 구동하는 방법에 있어서, 다수의 출력단을 포함하며, 엑티브화된 경우 상기 출력단 각각에 순차적으로 멀티 스텝 전압 파형을 반복적으로 가하기 위해 구성된 전압원을 제공하는 단계, 상기 전압원의 다수의 출력단중 제1출력단에 접속된 제1접점을 포함하는 다수의 발광 디바이스중 공통 단자와 접속된 제2접점을 갖는 제1발광 디바이스와 상기 전압원의 다수의 출력단중 제2출력단에 접속된 제1접점을 포함하는 다수의 발광 디바이스중 공통 단자와 접속된 제2접점을 갖는 제2발광 디바이스를 구비한 다수의 발광 디바이스를 포함하는 각 화소로 구성된 화소들의 다수의 행과 다수의 열을 포함하는 행렬을 공급하는 단계, 공통의 단자에서 전압원에 대한 복귀까지 전류 경로를 완전하게 함으로서 화소가 엑티브화된 경우를 결정하기 위해 사용되는 상기 행렬의 화소들의 각각에 대한 이미지 데이터 엑티브신호와 주사신호를 상기 행렬의 화소 각각에 가함으로써 행렬의 화소 각각을 어드레싱하는 단계, 상기 전압원의 다수의 출력단중 제1출력단에 멀티 스텝 전압 파형을 가하기 위해 전압원을 엑티브화시키고, 상기 멀티 스텝 전압 파형의 각 스텝에 대해 행렬내의 화소 각각을 어드레싱하는 단계 및, 상기 전압원의 다수의 다수의 출력단중 제2출력단에 멀티 스텝 전압 파형을 가하기 위해 전압원을 엑티브화 시키고, 상기 멀티 스텝의 각 스텝에 대해 행렬내의 화소 각각을 어드레싱 하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 디바이스의 행렬을 구동하는 방법.
