Description
従来の有機EL表示装置では、図4に示したように、第1のTFT21および第2のTFT22を、OLED素子24に対応して画素ごとにそれぞれ設けている。この結果、配線数が多くなるため、欠陥による断線等によるパネル歩留まり低下の一因となっていた。さらに、配線数が多いことに伴って、開口率も減るというデメリットもあった。
図1は、本発明の実施の形態1における有機EL表示装置の回路構成図である。この有機EL表示装置は、ゲート線11、データ線12、電源線13a〜13c、第1のTFT21、第2のTFT22a〜22c、蓄積容量23、およびOLED素子24a〜24cで構成されている。この図1の構成は、赤、緑、青の3画素分をまとめて示しており、各画素に個別の構成要素は、添字としてa、b、cをそれぞれ付している。
Claims (2)
- データ線とゲート線とを交差させて定義される画素ごとに設けられた有機EL素子と、
前記ゲート線の駆動に従って前記データ線に供給されるデータ信号を出力する選択用トランジスタと、
前記選択用トランジスタを経由した前記データ信号の制御に従って前記各有機EL素子を時分割駆動する複数の駆動用トランジスタと
を含み、
前記選択用トランジスタには、それぞれの独立した電源線を通じて電源が供給され、
前記複数の駆動用トランジスタは、互いに異なる電圧レベルを有する前記電源の供給をそれぞれ受けて前記各有機EL素子を時分割駆動する
ことを特徴とする有機EL表示装置。 - 請求項1に記載の有機EL表示装置において、
前記各駆動用トランジスタにより駆動される前記複数の有機EL素子は積層構造を有し、前記各駆動用トランジスタとそれぞれれ連結されている
ことを特徴とする有機EL表示装置。
