Claims (42)
- 사람의 눈들의 움직임을 모니터하기 위한 장치로서,사람의 머리에 착용되도록 구성된 디바이스와;상기 디바이스가 착용되었을 때 상기 사람의 눈들을 향하여 광을 지향시키는 광원과;상기 디바이스 상에 고정된 제1 단부들을 포함하는 제1 및 제2 영상 도파관들(image guides) - 상기 제1 영상 도파관은 상기 디바이스를 착용한 사람의 제1 눈을 바라보도록 위치 지정(position)되고, 상기 제2 영상 도파관은 상기 디바이스를 착용한 사람의 제2 눈을 바라보도록 위치 지정됨 - 과;상기 제1 및 제2 눈들의 영상들을 취득하기 위해 상기 제1 및 제2 다발들에 연결된 카메라를 포함하는 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 카메라는 CCD 또는 CMOS 검출기를 포함하고, 상기 제1 및 제2 영상 도파관들로부터의 영상들은 상기 검출기의 활성 영역 상에 동시에 수신되는 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 광원은 적외선 광을 방사하도록 구성된 하나 이상의 적외선 방사기들(infrared emitters)을 포함하는 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 광원은 상기 제1 및 제2 영상 도파관들에 의해 각각 운반(carry)되는 제1 및 제2 조명 섬유들을 포함하는 장치.

- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1 및 제2 눈들 상에 각각 집광(focus)시키기 위해, 상기 제1 및 제2 영상 도파관들의 상기 제1 단부들 상에 각각 있는 제1 및 제2 렌즈들을 더 포함하는 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 디바이스는 안경 프레임, 모자, 헬멧, 챙(visor), 및 마스크 중 적어도 하나를 포함하는 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 디바이스는 한 쌍의 보안경들(goggles)을 포함하는 헬멧을 포함하고, 상기 카메라는 상기 헬멧에 장착되고, 상기 제1 및 제2 영상 도파 관들의 상기 제1 단부들은 상기 보안경들에 부착되는 장치.

- 사람의 눈들의 움직임을 모니터하기 위한 장치로서,사람의 머리에 착용되도록 구성된 디바이스와;상기 디바이스가 착용되었을 때 상기 사람의 눈들을 향하여 광을 지향시키는 광원과;상기 디바이스 상의 제1 및 제2 렌즈들 - 상기 제1 렌즈는 상기 디바이스를 착용한 상기 사람의 제1 눈을 향하여 지향되고, 상기 제2 렌즈는 상기 디바이스를 착용한 상기 사람의 제2 눈을 향하여 지향됨 - 과;상기 사람의 주위 환경의 영상들을 취득하기 위해 상기 디바이스를 착용한 상기 사람으로부터 다른 방향으로 지향된 상기 디바이스 상의 제3 렌즈와;상기 제1 및 제2 렌즈들로부터의 상기 제1 및 제2 눈들의 영상들 및 상기 제3 렌즈로부터의 영상들을 동시에 취득하기 위해 상기 제1, 제2 및 제3 렌즈들에 연결된 카메라를 포함하는 장치.
- 제14항에 있어서, 상기 카메라는 CCD 또는 CMOS 검출기를 포함하고, 상기 제1 및 제2 영상 도파관들로부터의 영상들은 상기 검출기의 활성 영역 상에 동시에 수신되는 장치.

- 사람의 눈들의 움직임을 모니터하기 위한 장치로서,사람의 머리에 착용되도록 구성된 디바이스와;상기 디바이스 상에 고정된 제1 단부들을 포함하는 제1 및 제2 광섬유 다발들 - 상기 제1 광섬유 다발은 상기 디바이스를 착용한 상기 사람의 제1 눈을 바라보도록 위치 지정되고, 상기 제2 광섬유 다발은 상기 디바이스를 착용한 상기 사람의 제2 눈을 바라보도록 위치 지정됨 - 과;상기 제1 및 제2 광섬유 다발들로부터 상기 제1 및 제2 눈들의 영상들을 동시에 취득하기 위해 상기 제1 및 제2 광섬유 다발들에 연결된 카메라를 포함하는 장치.
- 제19항에 있어서, 상기 사람의 주위 환경의 영상들을 취득하기 위해 상기 디바이스를 착용한 상기 사람으로부터 다른 방향으로 지향된 상기 디바이스 상의 엑소카메라(exocamera)를 더 포함하고, 상기 엑소카메라는 상기 엑소카메라로부터의 영상들을 상기 제1 및 제2 광섬유 다발들로부터의 영상들과 동시에 취득하기 위해 상기 카메라에 연결되어 있는 장치.
- 사람의 눈의 움직임을 모니터하기 위한 시스템으로서,사람의 머리에 착용되도록 구성된 디바이스와;상기 디바이스가 착용되었을 때 상기 사람의 눈을 향하여 광을 지향시키는 광원과;상기 눈의 움직임을 모니터하기 위한 상기 디바이스 상의 카메라 - 상기 카메라는 상기 눈의 상기 카메라에 의해 취득된 비디오 영상들을 나타내는 비디오 신호들을 생성하도록 구성됨 - 와;상기 비디오 신호들을 처리하고 상기 비디오 신호들로부터 상기 눈의 동공을 식별하기 위해 상기 카메라와 통신하는 프로세서와;상기 프로세서에 의해 처리된 상기 비디오 신호들로부터의 상기 눈의 비디오 영상들을 표시하기 위해 상기 프로세서에 연결된 디스플레이 - 상기 디스플레이는 상기 동공을 식별하기 위해 상기 비디오 영상들 상에 그래픽을 겹쳐 놓음 -를 포함하는 시스템.
- 제21항에 있어서, 상기 프로세서는 상기 프로세서에 의해 식별된 동공의 분석에 적어도 부분적으로 기초하여 상기 사람의 신체적 또는 정신적 상태를 판정하기 위해 상기 비디오 신호들을 상관시키도록 더 구성되어 있는 시스템.
- 제22항에 있어서, 상기 프로세서는 상기 동공의 상대적 위치, 상기 동공의 사이즈, 및 상기 동공의 편심(eccentricity) 중 적어도 하나를 모니터하기 위해 상기 비디오 신호들을 분석하도록 구성되어 있는 시스템.
- 제21항에 있어서, 상기 카메라는 CCD 또는 CMOS 검출기, 및 상기 디바이스에 장착된 제1 단부를 포함하는 적어도 하나의 광섬유 다발을 포함하고, 상기 제1 단부는 상기 디바이스가 착용되었을 때 상기 사람의 눈을 향하여 지향되게 되어 있는 시스템.
- 제24항에 있어서, 상기 광원은 상기 광섬유 다발에 의해 운반되는 적어도 하나의 조명 섬유를 포함하는 시스템.

- 바이오센서 어셈블리를 이용하여 사람의 눈의 움직임을 모니터하는 방법 - 상기 바이오센서 어셈블리는 그것이 착용되었을 때 상기 사람의 눈을 향하여 광을 지향시키는 광원과, 상기 눈을 향하여 지향된 카메라를 포함함 - 으로서,상기 광원으로부터의 광을 상기 눈을 향하여 방사하는 단계와;상기 눈의 비디오 영상들을 생성하기 위해 상기 카메라로 상기 눈의 움직임을 모니터하는 단계와;상기 카메라에 의해 모니터된 상기 움직임의 그래픽 출력을 생성하는 단계 - 상기 그래픽 출력은 상기 눈의 동공을 식별하기 위해 상기 눈의 비디오 영상들 상 에 겹쳐진 인공 영상(artificial image)을 포함함 -를 포함하는 방법.
- 사람의 눈을 향하여 광을 지향시키는 광원 및 상기 사람의 눈을 향하여 지향된 카메라를 포함하는 바이오센서 어셈블리를 이용하여 상기 사람의 눈을 모니터하는 방법으로서,상기 광원으로부터 하나 이상의 광 펄스들을 방사하여, 상기 눈이 그것의 긴장 이완된 상태(relaxed state)로부터 팽창(dilate)하게 하는 단계와;상기 눈이 그것의 긴장 이완된 상태로 되돌아가는 반응 시간을 판정하기 위해 상기 카메라로 상기 눈을 모니터하는 단계를 포함하는 방법.
- 컴퓨팅 디바이스를 제어하기 위한 시스템으로서,사람의 머리에 착용되도록 구성된 디바이스와;상기 사람의 적어도 한쪽 눈의 움직임을 모니터하기 위한 상기 디바이스 상의 카메라 - 상기 카메라는 상기 카메라에 의해 취득된 상기 눈의 비디오 영상들을 나타내는 신호들을 생성하도록 구성됨 - 와;상기 디바이스에 인접하여 배치된 디스플레이 - 상기 디스플레이 상의 포인터가 상기 디바이스를 착용한 상기 사람에 의해 관찰 가능하게 되어 있음 - 와;상기 신호들을 처리하여 상기 디스플레이 상의 기준 프레임에 대한 상기 눈 의 움직임을 모니터하기 위해 상기 카메라에 연결된 프로세서 - 상기 프로세서는 상기 기준 프레임에 대한 상기 눈의 움직임에 기초하여 상기 포인터가 상기 디스플레이 상에서 움직이게 하기 위해 상기 디스플레이에 연결됨 -를 포함하는 시스템.
- 제33항에 있어서, 상기 디스플레이는 상기 디스플레이가 상기 디바이스를 착용한 상기 사람의 눈의 전방에 소정의 거리에 배치되도록 상기 디바이스에 고착(secure)된 헤드업(heads-up) 디스플레이인 시스템.
- 제33항에 있어서, 상기 프로세서는 상기 디바이스를 착용한 상기 사람이 상기 디스플레이 상의 특정 위치를 바라보고 있음을 나타내는 비디오 영상들을 찾아 상기 신호들을 모니터하기 위해 상기 카메라에 연결되어 있고, 상기 프로세서는 상기 포인터를 상기 특정 위치로 움직이도록 구성되어 있는 시스템.
