Abstract
Description
形成性熱可塑性ポリマーに対する溶解速度比が100以上(好ましくは300〜3000)であると、島分離性が良好となり好ましい。溶解速度が200倍未満の場合には、繊維断面中央部の海成分を溶解する間に、分離した繊維断面表層部の島成分が、繊径が小さいために溶解されるため、海相当分が減量されているにもかかわらず、繊維断面中央部の海成分を完全に溶解除去できず、島成分の太さ斑や島成分自体の溶剤侵食につながり、均一な繊維径の繊維が得られないおそれがある。

また、アルカリ減量加工の処理時間は5〜60分であることが好ましく、さらには10〜30分であることが好ましい。5分未満ではアルカリ減量が不十分となるおそれがある。一方、60分以上では島成分までも減量されるおそれがある
また、アルカリ減量加工において、アルカリ濃度は2〜10%であることが好ましい。2%未満では、アルカリ不足となり、減量速度が極めて遅くなるおそれがある。一方、10%を越えるとアルカリ減量が進みすぎ、島部分まで減量されるおそれがある。
(1)繊維径
透過型電子顕微鏡TEM(測長機能付)を使用し、倍率30000倍で繊維断面写真を撮影し測定した。ただし、繊維径は、単繊維横断面におけるその外接円の直径を用いた(n数5の平均値)。
(2)繊維長
走査型電子顕微鏡(SEM)により、海成分溶解除去前の極細短繊維(短繊維A)を基盤上に寝かせた状態とし、20〜500倍で繊維長Lを測定した(n数5の平均値)。その際、SEMの測長機能を活用して繊維長Lを測定した。
(3)目付け
JIS P8124(紙のメートル坪量測定方法)に基づいて目付けを測定した。
(4)厚さ
JIS P8118(紙及び板紙の厚さと密度の測定方法)に基づいて厚みを測定した。測定荷重は75g/cm2にて、n=5で測定し、平均値を求めた。
(5)空隙率
上記目付け、厚さ、繊維密度から下記式にて計算した。なお、ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)繊維の繊維密度は1.36g/cm3である。
空隙率(%)=100−((目付け)/(厚さ)/繊維密度×100)
(6)引張強度
JIS P8113 (紙および板紙の引張強さと試験方法)に基づいて実施した。
(7)平均孔径
PMI社製パームポロメーターにより測定した。
(8)ガーレ透気度
JIS P8117 (紙および板紙の透気度試験方法)に基づいて実施した。
(8)溶融粘度
乾燥処理後のポリマーを紡糸時のルーダー温度に設定したオリフィスにセットして5分間溶融保持したのち、数水準の荷重をかけて押し出し、そのときのせん断速度と溶融粘度をプロットする。そのデータをもとに、せん断速度−溶融粘度曲線を作成し、せん断速度が1000sec−1の時の溶融粘度を読み取った。
(9)アルカリ減量速度比
海成分および島成分のポリマーを、それぞれ、径0.3mm、長さ0.6mmの円孔を24孔持つ口金から吐出し、1000〜2000m/分の紡糸速度で引き取って得た未延伸糸を残留伸度が30〜60%の範囲となるように延伸して83dtex/24フィラメントのマルチフィラメントを作製した。これを1.5wt%NAOH(水酸化ナトリウム)水溶液80℃を用い、浴比100として、溶解時間と溶解量から減量速度を算出した。
島成分に285℃での溶融粘度が120Pa・secのポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)、海成分に285℃での溶融粘度が135Pa・secである平均分子量4000のポリエチレングリコールを4重量%、5−ナトリウムスルホイソフタル酸を9mol%共重合した改質ポリエチレンテレフタレートを使用し、海:島=10:90の重量比率で島数400の口金を用いて紡糸し、紡糸速度1500m/分で引き取った。アルカリ減量速度差は1000倍であった。これを3.9倍に延伸した後、ギロチンカッターで0.5mmにカットして、海島型複合繊維を得た。これを4%NaOH水溶液で75℃にて10%減量し、本繊維を主体繊維1とした(延伸されたポリエステル繊維、繊維径700nm、繊維長0.5mm、アスペクト比714、丸断面、複屈折率Δnが0.05より大)。
島成分に285℃での溶融粘度が120Pa・secのポリエチレンテレフタレート、海成分に285℃での溶融粘度が135Pa・secである平均分子量4000のポリエチレングリコールを4重量%、5−ナトリウムスルホイソフタル酸を9mol%共重合した改質ポリエチレンテレフタレートを使用し、海:島=10:90の重量比率で島数400の口金を用いて紡糸し、紡糸速度1500m/分で引き取った。アルカリ減量速度差は1000倍であった。これを3.9倍に延伸した後、ギロチンカッターで0.4mmにカットして、海島型複合繊維を得た。これを4%NaOH水溶液で75℃にて10%減量し、本繊維を主体繊維2とした(延伸されたポリエステル繊維、繊維径400nm、繊維長0.4mm、アスペクト比1000、丸断面、複屈折率Δnが0.05より大)。
ポリエチレンテレフタレートを常法により紡糸・延伸して得られた延伸ポリエステル繊維を用意し主体繊維3とした(単繊維繊度0.1dtex、繊維径3.05μm、繊維長3mm、アスペクト比983、丸断面、複屈折率Δnが0.05より大)。
実施例1と同じ主体繊維1(30wt%)と実施例2と同じ主体繊維2(30wt%)と実施例3と同じ主体繊維3(20wt%)と実施例1と同じバインダー主体繊維1(20wt%)を混合撹拌した後、実施例1と同様にしてフィルター用ろ材を作製した。評価結果を表1に示す。
島成分に295℃での溶融粘度が130Pa・secのポリフェニレンスルフィド(PPS)、海成分に295℃での溶融粘度が145Pa・secである平均分子量4000のポリエチレングリコールを4重量%、5−ナトリウムスルホイソフタル酸を9mol%共重合した改質ポリエチレンテレフタレートを使用し、海:島=30:70の重量比率で島数400の口金を用いて紡糸し、紡糸速度1500m/分で引き取った。アルカリ減量速度差は1000倍であった。これを3.5倍に延伸した後、ギロチンカッターで0.5mmにカットして、海島型複合繊維を得た。これを4%NaOH水溶液で75℃にて10%減量し、本繊維を主体繊維4とした(延伸されたポリフェニレンスルフィド繊維、繊維径700nm、繊維長0.5mm、アスペクト比714、丸断面、複屈折率Δnが0.05より大)。
島成分に285℃での溶融粘度が125Pa・secのナイロン6(Ny−6)、海成分に285℃での溶融粘度が135Pa・secである平均分子量4000のポリエチレングリコールを4重量%、5−ナトリウムスルホイソフタル酸を9mol%共重合した改質ポリエチレンテレフタレートを使用し、海:島=30:70の重量比率で島数800の口金を用いて紡糸し、紡糸速度1500m/minで引き取った。アルカリ減量速度差は1000倍以上であった。これを3.2倍に延伸した後、ギロチンカッターで0.5mmにカットして、海島型複合繊維を得た。これを4%NaOH水溶液で75℃にて10%減量し、本繊維を主体繊維5とした(延伸されたナイロン6繊維、繊維径400nm、繊維長0.5mm、アスペクト比714、丸断面、複屈折率Δnが0.05より大)。
表1に示すように、主体繊維とバインダー繊維を選択し混合撹拌した後、実施例1と同様にしてフィルター用ろ材を作製した。評価結果を表1に示す。

Claims (10)
- 液体フィルター用ろ材であって、
繊維径が4.0μm以下かつアスペクト比が100〜2500の主体繊維と、繊維径が3.0μm以下かつアスペクト比が100〜2500のバインダー繊維とを含み、かつ前記バインダー繊維の重量比率がろ材重量に対して10〜50重量%であり、かつ目付けが5〜80g/m2の範囲内であることを特徴とする液体フィルター用ろ材。 - 前記主体繊維がポリエステル繊維またはポリフェニレンスルフィド繊維またはポリオレフィン繊維またはナイロン繊維からなる、請求項1に記載の液体フィルター用ろ材。
- 前記バインダー繊維が、複合繊維または未延伸繊維からなる、請求項1または請求項2に記載の液体フィルター用ろ材。
- 液体フィルター用ろ材が湿式不織布からなる、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の液体フィルター用ろ材。
- 厚さが10〜100μmの範囲内である、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の液体フィルター用ろ材。
- 空隙率が50〜90%の範囲内である、請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の液体フィルター用ろ材。
- 引張強度がMD方向8N/15mm以上、かつCD方向3N/15mm以上である、請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の液体フィルター用ろ材。
- 引張伸度がMD方向10%以上、かつCD方向10%以上である、請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の液体フィルター用ろ材。
