Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 産業上の利用分野 本発明は、染料の転写記録に用いられる受像体に関し、
特にサーマルヘッド等のデバイスを用いて染料を昇華転
写して文字や画像を記録するのに供される昇華型感熱記
録用受像体に関する。
従来例の構成とその問題点 従来この分野の記録法としては、染料を担持した支持体
と受像体とを対向させ、サーマルヘッド等の電気信号に
より制御される熱源を圧着して、文字もしくは画像を記
録する方法がある。この時受像体の染着層の厚みむらが
あると画信号に応じて正確に転写されず、画像のドツト
抜けやド１７　）欠は等が生じ、画像品質の乱れを生じ
中間調にザラツキ感が出る問題点があった。さらに著し
い場合には、高濃度域においてさえ発色にむらが生じる
問題点がある。　１ 発明の目的 本発明の目的は、染着層の厚みむらによる画像品質の乱
れを改善する昇華型感熱記録用受像体を提供することで
ある。
発明の構成 本発明の昇華型感熱記録用受像体は、染着層の下層（Ｃ
熱可塑性の高分子物質層を設け、高分子物質層の下層に
基紙を設けたことを特徴とする。本発明の受像体は高分
子物質層を設けたために、染着層の厚みむらが大幅に解
消されると共にサーマルヘッドの熱エイ・ルギーにより
高分子物質層が軟化し衝撃を吸収することにより中間調
の画像品質の乱れを改善することができる。
実施例の説明 第１図に本発明の昇華型感熱記録用受像体の基本構成を
示す。基紙１の上層に高分子物質層２を設けて、さらに
その上層に染着層３を設けた様子を示す。
基紙１はバライタ紙、アート紙、コート紙等の紙が供さ
れる。基紙の厚みは２００μｍ以下が良い０ 基紙１の上層に設ける熱可塑性高分子物質層２は、例え
ばポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、ポリエチレンテレフ
タレート、ポリスチレン、ポリメチルメタクリレート、
塩化ビニリデン樹脂、アイオノマー樹脂、ブチラール樹
脂等が用いられる。
高分子物質層の厚みは０．１〜１６０μｍが好ましい。
基紙の上層に高分子物質層を設ける方法としては、例え
ばブレードコータ等で塗布するかもし。
〈はラミネートによって得られる。
高分子物質層上に設けた染着層は無機微粒子と染料染着
性の結着剤とを含む。無機微粒子としては、例えばソリ
力、アルミナ、酸化チタン等が挙げられる。無機微粒子
の粒径が０．１μｍ以下が好ましい。染料染着性の結着
剤としてはポリエステル樹脂、アセテート樹脂等が挙げ
られる。さらに染着層には染料染着性の結着剤と非相溶
な結着剤を含んでいてもよい。非相溶な結着剤としては
、炭化水素系樹脂、フッ素樹脂、シリコーン樹脂等が挙
げられる。炭化水素系樹脂としては、例えばポリエチレ
ン、ポリプロピレン、ポリスチレン。
ポリブタジェン、スチレンブタジェン共重合体等が挙げ
られる。
本発明の受像体は、例えば第２図に示したように基紙１
の両面にラミネートによって高分子物質層２を設け、一
方の面に染着層３を設けた構成も可能である。
本発明の昇華型感熱記録用受像体は、サーマルヘッドで
印加した熱エネルギーにより高分子物質層が軟化し衝撃
を吸収するため、特に中間調がなめらかに再現されると
思われる。
次に具体的実施例について説明する。
実施例１ 厚さ約１８０μｍのコート紙に厚さ約６０μｍのポリエ
チレンテレフタレートフィルムをラミネートシた。さら
にこれに染着層としてシリカ（商品名アエロジル２０ｏ
（日本アエロジル製））１０重量部を水性ポリエステル
樹脂（商品名）くイロナールＭ　１２００　（東洋紡製
））６重量部をよく混合した液を、ブレードコータで厚
さ約２０μｍに塗工し乾燥させて受像体を得た。
比較例１ 実施例１で用いたコート紙をラミ坏−トをかけずに実施
例１と同じ染着層を塗工して受像体を得た０ 実施例１と比較例１の受像体を用いて、４ドツト／Ｈの
サーマルヘッドで印加電力０．７　ＶＶ　／ド・ノドの
条件でアントラキノン系の昇華性分散染料を昇華させた
ところ、実施例１ではラミイ・−トをかけたため染着層
の厚みむらが少なくなったためなめらかな中間調が得ら
れたが、比較例１ではざらつきが目立った。
実施例２ 厚さ約６０μｍのバライタ紙に、ブチラール樹脂（商品
名工スレツジＢＭ（積木化学製））のイソプロピルアル
コール溶液を、ブレードコータで厚さ約１０μｍに塗工
した。これに染着層としてポリエステル樹脂（商品名パ
イロナールＭ１２００（東洋紡製）、）１００重量部に
アルミナ（商品名ＷＡ＃８０００（不二見研摩材工業（
株））５重量部、さらにポリエチレン（商品名パーマリ
ンＰＮ（三洋化成製））１０重量部を加えて分散させた
液をブレードコータで厚さ約２ｏμｍに塗工して乾燥し
て受像体を得た。
この受像体を用いて実施例１で記したサーマルヘッドを
用いてナフトキノン系の昇華性分散染料を昇華させたと
ころ、ブチラール樹脂層を設けたため染着層の厚みむら
が少なくなり、かつブチラール樹脂層がサーマルヘッド
の熱エネルギーにより軟化し衝撃を吸収したためなめら
かな中間調が得られた。
実施例３ 厚さ約６０μｍのバライタ紙に厚さ約３μｍのポリエチ
レンをラミネートした。これに染着層としてコロイダル
シリカ（商品名スノーテックス０（日産化学製））２０
重量部を水性ポリエステル樹脂（商品名パイロナールＭ
　１２００　（東洋紡製））５重量部とポリエチレン（
商品名パーマリンＰＮこの受像体を用いて実施例１で記
したサーマルヘッドを用いて、ナフトキノン系の昇華性
分散染料を昇華させたところ、ラミ１−）１．たために
染着層の厚みむらが少なくなりかつラミネート層がサー
マルヘッドの熱エネルギーにより軟化し衝撃を吸収した
ためなめらかな中間調が得られた。
発明の効果 本発明の昇華型感熱記録用受像体は、染着層の下層に高
分子物質層を設けたため、染着層の厚みむらによる画像
品質の乱れが大幅に軽減されると共にサーマルヘッドの
熱エネルギーにより高分子物質層が軟化し衝撃を吸収す
るため中間調の再現がなめらかになる効果がある。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. （１）染着層の下層に熱可塑性の高分子物質層を設け、
    前記高分子物質層の下層に基紙を設けたことを特徴とす
    る昇華型感熱記録用受像体・。
  2. （２）染着層が無機微粒子と染料染着￥の結着剤を含む
    特許請求の範囲第１項記載の昇華型感熱記録用受像体。
