Description
本実施の形態では、本発明の一態様の表示装置の構成例について、図面を参照して説明する。
本実施の形態では、これまでに2つの表示パネルがY軸方向に隣接する表示装置20Aの構成を示した。変形例1では、2つの表示パネルがX軸方向に隣接する表示装置20Bの構成を示す。
続いて、本発明の一態様の表示装置に含まれる表示パネルの表示部の構成例について説明する。図6(A)に、透明部32が表示部41の2辺に隣接する位置にある表示パネル30の上面図を示す。図6(B)は図6(A)における領域Pを拡大した上面図であり、図6(C)は領域Qを拡大した上面図である。
本実施の形態では、本発明の一態様の表示装置に適用可能な表示パネルの構成例について、図面を用いて説明する。
図9(A)に表示パネルの平面図を示し、図9(A)における一点鎖線A1−A2間の断面図の一例を図9(C)に示す。図9(C)には透明部810の断面図の一例も示す。
図9(A)に表示パネルの平面図を示し、図9(A)における一点鎖線A1−A2間の断面図の一例を図11(A)に示す。構成例2で示す表示パネルは、構成例1とは異なる、カラーフィルタ方式を用いたトップエミッション型の表示パネルである。ここでは、構成例1と異なる点のみ詳述し、構成例1と共通する点は説明を省略する。
図9(B)に表示パネルの平面図を示し、図9(B)における一点鎖線A3−A4間の断面図の一例を図17(A)に示す。構成例3で示す表示パネルは、塗り分け方式を用いたトップエミッション型の表示パネルである。
図9(B)に表示パネルの平面図を示し、図9(B)における一点鎖線A3−A4間の断面図の一例を図17(B)に示す。構成例4で示す表示パネルは、カラーフィルタ方式を用いたボトムエミッション型の表示パネルである。
次に、表示パネルまたは発光パネルに用いることができる材料等を説明する。なお、本明細書中で先に説明した構成については説明を省略する場合がある。
本実施の形態では、本発明の一態様の表示装置に用いることができるタッチパネルについて図面を用いて説明する。なお、実施の形態2で説明した表示パネルと同様の構成については、先の記載も参照することができる。また、本実施の形態では、発光素子を用いたタッチパネルを例示するが、これに限られない。例えば、実施の形態2に例示した他の素子(表示素子など)を用いたタッチパネルも本発明の一態様の表示装置に用いることができる。
図18(A)はタッチパネルの上面図である。図18(B)は図18(A)の一点鎖線A−B間及び一点鎖線C−D間の断面図である。図18(C)は図18(A)の一点鎖線E−F間の断面図である。
図19(A)、(B)は、タッチパネル505Aの斜視図である。なお明瞭化のため、代表的な構成要素を示す。図20(A)は、図19(A)に示す一点鎖線G−H間の断面図である。
図21は、タッチパネル505Bの断面図である。本実施の形態で説明するタッチパネル505Bは、供給された画像情報をトランジスタが設けられている側に表示する点、タッチセンサが表示部の基板701側に設けられている点、及びFPC509(2)がFPC509(1)と同じ側に設けられている点が、構成例2のタッチパネル505Aとは異なる。ここでは異なる構成について詳細に説明し、同様の構成を用いることができる部分は、上記の説明を援用する。
以下では、タッチセンサ595のより具体的な構成例について、図面を参照して説明する。
図26に示すように、タッチパネル500TPは、表示部500及び入力部600を重ねて有する。図27は、図26に示す一点鎖線Z1−Z2間の断面図である。

- 表示パネルと、板と、ステージと、駆動回路と、調整手段と、を各2つ備え、かつフレームを備える表示装置であって、
前記調整手段は、前記ステージの位置と角度を調整する機能を有し、かつ前記フレームに固定され、
前記駆動回路は、前記表示パネルを駆動する信号を出力する機能を有し、
前記ステージは、前記調整手段に固定され、かつ前記駆動回路および前記板を配置する領域を備え、
前記板は、第1の面に前記ステージと接続する機構を備え、かつ前記板の一側面に凸部曲面を備え、
前記表示パネルは、表示部と、動作回路部と、端子と、外部電極と、透明部と、第1の部分とを備え、かつ可撓性を有し、
前記表示部は、画像を表示する機能を有し、
前記動作回路部は、前記表示部へ信号を出力する機能を有する回路および前記回路と前記端子とを電気的に接続する配線を備え、かつ前記表示部に隣接する領域に位置し、
前記端子は、前記外部電極と電気的に接続され、
前記外部電極は、前記駆動回路から出力された信号を前記動作回路部に伝達する機能を有し、
前記透明部は、可視光を透過する領域を含み、かつ前記動作回路部と重ならずかつ前記表示部の1辺と隣接する領域に位置し、
