Description
電気伝導性を有する導電性炭素と硫黄を30:70重量%で混合し、ボールミル工程によって硫黄−炭素複合体を製造した。
前記実施例1において、前記正極上にポリビニルピロリドン(PVP)水溶液をオーバーコーティングする工程の代わりに、前記正極スラリー内のポリビニルピロリドン(PVP)を5重量%追加したことを除いては、前記実施例1と同様に実施した。
前記実施例1において、前記正極上にポリビニルピロリドン(PVP)水溶液をオーバーコーティングする工程を除いては、前記実施例1と同様に実施した。
前記実施例1および比較例1〜2で製造されたリチウム−硫黄電池に対し、充放電測定装置を用いて充放電特性の変化を試験した。得られた電池は0.1C/0.1C充電/放電、0.2C/0.2C充電/放電、および0.5C/0.5C充電/放電で各々50サイクル(cycle)の充放電を繰り返し行って、初期放電容量およびサイクル別の放電容量を測定し、その結果を下記表1〜2および図2〜3に示す。より具体的には、図2は前記実施例1および比較例1〜2のリチウム−硫黄電池の初期放電容量を示す図であり、図3は前記実施例1および比較例1〜2のリチウム−硫黄電池のサイクル別の放電容量を示す図である。
Claims (16)
- リチウム−硫黄電池用の正極であって、
硫黄−炭素複合体を含む正極活性部、および
前記正極活性部の表面の少なくとも一部分に備えられ、親水性の部分および疏水性の部分を含む両親媒性高分子(amphiphilic polymer)を含む正極コーティング層
を含み、
前記両親媒性高分子の前記疏水性の部分が前記硫黄−炭素複合体側に配向され、
前記両親媒性高分子の前記親水性の部分が前記硫黄−炭素複合体の外側に配向され、
前記両親媒性高分子の含量は、前記正極活性部の硫黄−炭素複合体100重量部に対して0.01〜10重量部であり、
前記リチウム−硫黄電池用の前記正極の形態はプレート型またはロッド型であり、
前記リチウム−硫黄電池用の前記正極の形態がプレート型である場合、前記正極コーティング層は前記正極活性部の表面中の電解質に露出される一部分に位置し、
前記リチウム−硫黄電池用の前記正極の形態がロッド型である場合は、前記正極コーティング層は前記正極活性部の表面の全部分に位置し、
前記正極コーティング層の厚さは10nm〜1μmである、
リチウム−硫黄電池用の正極。 - 前記両親媒性高分子は、ポリビニルピロリドン(polyvinyl pyrrolidone、PVP)、ポリエチレンオキシド(polyethylene oxide、PEO)、ポリビニルアルコール(polyvinyl alcohol、PVA)、およびこれらの共重合体からなる群から選択された1種以上を含む、請求項1に記載のリチウム−硫黄電池用の正極。
- 前記正極コーティング層は気孔を含み、
前記気孔の平均直径は1nm〜10μmである、請求項1または2に記載のリチウム−硫黄電池用の正極。 - 前記正極コーティング層の気孔度は、前記リチウム−硫黄電池用の正極の総体積に対して50〜95%である、請求項3に記載のリチウム−硫黄電池用の正極。
- 前記正極コーティング層は、前記正極活性部の表面の全部分に備えられる、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム−硫黄電池用の正極。
- 前記硫黄−炭素複合体は、多孔性炭素に硫黄粒子を塗布して形成される、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム−硫黄電池用の正極。
- 前記硫黄−炭素複合体は、硫黄粒子を溶かして炭素と混合して形成される、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム−硫黄電池用の正極。
- 前記正極活性部は、遷移金属元素、IIIA族元素、IVA族元素、これらの元素の硫黄化合物、およびこれらの元素と硫黄の合金のうちから選択された一つ以上の添加剤をさらに含む、請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム−硫黄電池用の正極。
- 負極活物質としてリチウム金属またはリチウム合金を含む負極、
請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム−硫黄電池用の正極、
前記正極と負極との間に備えられるセパレータ、および
前記負極、正極およびセパレータに含浸しており、リチウム塩と有機溶媒を含む電解質
を含むリチウム−硫黄電池。 - 前記リチウム塩は、LiSCN、LiBr、LiI、LiPF6、LiBF4、LiSO3CF3、LiClO4、LiSO3CH3、LiB(Ph)4、LiC(SO2CF3)3およびLiN(SO2CF3)2からなる群から選択された一つ以上である、請求項9に記載のリチウム−硫黄電池。
- 前記リチウム合金は、リチウムとNa、K、Rb、Cs、Fr、Be、Mg、Ca、Sr、Ba、Ra、AlおよびSnからなる群から選択された金属の合金である、請求項9または10に記載のリチウム−硫黄電池。
- 前記有機溶媒は、単一溶媒または2以上の混合有機溶媒である、請求項9〜11のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム−硫黄電池。
- 請求項9〜12のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム−硫黄電池を単位電池として含む電池モジュール。
- リチウム−硫黄電池用の正極の製造方法であって、
硫黄−炭素複合体を含む正極活性部を形成するステップ、および
前記正極活性部の表面の少なくとも一部分に、親水性の部分および疏水性の部分を含む両親媒性高分子を含む正極コーティング層を形成するステップ
を含み、
前記両親媒性高分子の前記疏水性の部分が前記硫黄−炭素複合体側に配向され、
前記両親媒性高分子の前記親水性の部分が前記硫黄−炭素複合体の外側に配向され、
前記両親媒性高分子の含量は、前記正極活性部の硫黄−炭素複合体100重量部に対して0.01〜10重量部であり、
前記リチウム−硫黄電池用の前記正極の形態はプレート型またはロッド型であり、
前記リチウム−硫黄電池用の前記正極の形態がプレート型である場合、前記正極コーティング層は前記正極活性部の表面中の電解質に露出される一部分に位置し、
前記リチウム−硫黄電池用の前記正極の形態がロッド型である場合は、前記正極コーティング層は前記正極活性部の表面の全部分に位置し、
前記正極コーティング層の厚さは10nm〜1μmであり、
前記両親媒性高分子を含む組成物は、DI waterである溶媒をさらに含む、
リチウム−硫黄電池用の正極の製造方法。 - 前記正極コーティング層を形成するステップは両親媒性高分子を含む組成物を用い、
ディップコーティング、ダイコーティング、コンマコーティング、グラビアコーティングまたはバーコーティング方法を利用する、請求項14に記載のリチウム−硫黄電池用の正極の製造方法。 - 前記両親媒性高分子を含む組成物は溶媒をさらに含み、
前記両親媒性高分子の含量は組成物の全体重量に対して1〜30重量%である、請求項15に記載のリチウム−硫黄電池用の正極の製造方法。
