Description
a.ガラス、セラミック、およびガラスセラミックの少なくとも1つを含むシートであって、第1の表面、第2の表面、および第1の表面と第2の表面とを連結する少なくとも2つの平行な高強度エッジを有し、少なくとも2つの平行な高強度エッジのそれぞれが、50mmの試験長さにわたって200MPaの応力レベルにおいて約2%未満の破壊確率が可能となる曲げ強度を有するシートと;
b.少なくとも2つの平行な高強度エッジのそれぞれの少なくとも一部を覆うポリマーエッジコーティングであって、高強度エッジのそれぞれを欠陥および損傷の発生から保護するポリマーエッジコーティングと
を含む、基材が提供される。
a.ガラス、セラミック、およびガラスセラミックの少なくとも1つを含むシートであって、少なくとも2つの平行な高強度エッジを有し、エッジの仕上げが行われていないシートと;
b.少なくとも2つの平行な高強度エッジのそれぞれの少なくとも一部を覆うポリマーエッジコーティングであって、少なくとも2つの平行な高強度エッジにおける欠陥の形成を最小限にすることによってシートの曲げ強度を保全するポリマーエッジコーティングと
を含む基材が提供される。
a.ガラス、ガラスセラミック、およびセラミックの少なくとも1つを含み、互いに実質的に平行である第1および第2の表面、ならびに第1および第2の表面の間の少なくとも2つの平行な高強度エッジを有するシートであって、少なくとも2つの平行な高強度エッジのそれぞれが、50mmの試験長さにわたって200MPaの応力レベルにおいて約2%未満の破壊確率が可能となる曲げ強度を有するシートを提供するステップと;
b.少なくとも2つの平行な高強度エッジのそれぞれの少なくとも一部の上にポリマーエッジコーティングを堆積して基材を形成するステップと
を含む方法が提供される。
Claims (2)
- 基材の製造方法であって:
a.0.6mm以下の厚さを有し、互いに実質的に平行である第1および第2の表面を有するガラスシートを提供するステップと、
b. 前記第1および第2の表面との間の少なくとも2つの平行な、全厚レーザ切断された高強度エッジを形成するために、レーザビームと前記ガラスシートを急冷するための水ジェットを用いて、前記ガラスシートの厚みにわたって温度のバランスをとることによって前記ガラスシートをレーザ切断するステップであって、前記レーザ切断に用いられるレーザビームの出力と、前記レーザ切断が実施される時の前記レーザビームと前記水ジェットの前記シート上での距離とが、前記シートの前記厚さに応じて選択され、前記少なくとも2つの平行な全厚レーザ切断された高強度エッジのそれぞれが、50mmの試験長さにわたって200MPaの応力レベルにおいて2%未満の破壊確率が可能となる曲げ強度を有するものである、ステップと、
c.前記少なくとも2つの平行な高強度エッジのそれぞれの少なくとも一部の上にポリマーエッジコーティングを堆積して前記基材を形成するステップと、
を含むことを特徴とする、方法。 - 前記レーザビームの出力は35Wであり、前記レーザビームと前記水ジェットとの前記距離が24mmであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
