Description
1. 高速充電や過電流でも変形抑制できる熱変形温度が150℃以上であること、
2.衝撃強度が高く面衝撃で測定した場合にも破片が飛散しないこと、
3.射出成形においてバリ発生が少なく、反り変形が少ないこと、
4.難燃剤を配合しないで難燃性(UL規格での V0)を維持していること、
5.PPS以外の成分が配合されていても耐薬品性、ガスバリヤー性能等が低下しないこと、
などが挙げられ、これら諸要件を満たすことが望ましい。
本発明のPPS樹脂組成物を得るための方法としては、各種混練機、例えば、一軸および多軸混練機、バンバリーミキサー、ロール、ブラベンダー、プラストグラム等で、上記成分を溶融混練した後、冷却固化されたペレットとして得る。工業的コストからは二軸混練機による溶融混練法が好ましいが、これに限定されるものではない。また、上記成分の添加、配合の順序は特に限定されないが、無機フィラーを精度よく供給できない場合は、PPSおよび無機フィラー、または線状ポリエチレンおよび無機フィラー、またはPPS、線状ポリエチレン、共重合ポリオレフィンおよび無機フィラーを予め溶融混練して無機フィラー濃度の高いマスターバッチ(MB)を作製しておき、次に最終目標とするPPS樹脂組成物の配合割合となるように、このマスターバッチとPPS、線状ポリエチレン、共重合ポリオレフィンの添加量を調整して溶融混練する逐次混練方式が好ましい。
本発明に係るPPS樹脂組成物を用いて成形体を得る方法は、特に限定されるものでなく、熱可塑性樹脂組成物について一般に用いられている成形法、例えば、射出成形、中空成形、押出成形、シート成形、熱成形、回転成形、積層成形等の各種成形方法が適用できる。
プレス成形した厚さ4mmのシートから幅10mm、長さ80mmの短冊試験片を切り出し、これにエッジワイズ方向に深さ2mm、ノッチ先端半径0.25mmのノッチ加工を施し、温度23℃、相対湿度50%の条件下でJIS K7111に従いノッチ付きシャルピー衝撃強度を測定した。
プレス成形した厚さ4mmのシートから幅10mm、長さ100mmの短冊試験片を切り出し、温度23℃、相対湿度50%の条件下でJIS K7171に従い曲げ強度および曲げ弾性率を測定した。
プレス成形した厚さ4mmのシートから幅10mm、長さ100mmの短冊試験片を切り出し、JIS K7191に準拠して0.45MPaの曲げ応力条件下でエッジワイズでの荷重たわみ温度を測定した。
プレス成形した厚さ2mmのシートから直径44mmを打ち抜き、透過用サンプルとした(透過面積15.2cm2)。これをJIS K−7126−1GC法(ISO15105−1)に準拠したGTRテック(株)製GTR−11/31にて温度40℃、リチウム電解液として和光純薬工業社製特級試薬ジエチルカーボネート25体積部および同社製特級試薬エチルメチルカーボネート75体積部の混合液の透過量を測定した。

<熱伝導率の測定> DVNATECH R&D社製定常熱流計(TCHM−DV)
(A)成分 PPS:トレリナA900B1(東レ(株)製)
(B)成分 PE−1:カーネルKF261T 密度0.898、MFR2.2g/10min(日本ポリエチレン(株)製)
PE−2:エボリューSP0540 密度0.903、MFR3.8g/10min(プライムポリマー(株)製)
PE−3:エボリューSP2030 密度0.922、MFR2.5g/10min(プライムポリマー(株)製)
(C)成分 相溶化剤:ボンドファースト3C(住友化学(株)製)
(D)成分 タルク:ハイフィラー5000PJ、Dp50%=1.5〜1.8μ(松村産業(株)製)
その他 ガラス繊維:CSG 3PA−830S(日東紡績(株)製)
(E)成分 ファーネスカーボン#3400(三菱化学(株)製)
(F)成分 人工黒鉛 UF−G10 (昭和電工(株)製)
PPS樹脂のみを前記実施例と同じ条件でプレスしたのち、得られた試験片を用いて実施例と同じ方法で同じ特性評価を行った。その結果を表2に示す。表2に示すようにPPS樹脂単体では、耐熱性は高いものの耐衝撃性が著しく低い。なお、表2は比較例1〜11の結果を示している。
成分(D)の無機フィラーを省いた以外は実施例と同じ配合割合にして溶融混練、成形、評価を行った。表2に示すように、(A)ポリフェニレンスルフィド樹脂に(B)線状ポリエチレンと(C)共重合ポリオレフィンを配合することによって、曲げ特性は低下するもののそれを補う以上に耐衝撃性が大幅に向上している。しかし、一方でPPSの持ち味のひとつである耐熱性が大きく低下している。
比較例3は、比較例2と同様にして得られた試験片を真空オーブン内で220℃、1時間熱処理したのちに比較例2と同様の特性評価を行ったものである。その結果を表2に示す。
比較例4および5は、比較例3においてその成分(B)線状ポリエチレンの銘柄を変更したものである。比較例4では密度0.903の線状ポリエチレン(PE−2)を、比較例5では密度0.922の線状ポリエチレン(PE−3)を用いた。その結果を表2に示す。
比較例6および7は、タルクの配合量をそれぞれ20重量部および30重量部とした場合で、それ以外の配合および混練、成形、評価は表1の実施例と全く同様である。その結果を表2に示す。
比較例8および9は、成分(D)のタルクの代わりにチョップドガラス繊維を用いた場合であり、それぞれ10重量%および30重量%とした。なお、ここでは成分(A)〜(C)は実施例と同じ原材料を用いたが、成分(A)の配合量をガラス繊維充填量分だけ差し引く配合方式とした。その結果を表2に示す。
実施例10において(A)PPS100重量部に対して(F)の導電性カーボン25重量部を配合して同様の混練押出によりペレットを得、同様の射出成形により射出成形シートを得ようとした。ここで混練押出ストランドをU字形状に折り曲げると容易に破断が見られ、脆いことが判明した。射出成形においては離型時の突き出しピンで成形品がおされただけで割れが発生することは実施例では観察されなかったことに比較すれば、非常に脆い材料であることが分かった。さらに表面抵抗性を測定したところ4.5×101Ω/□と実施例に比較すると導電性が劣ることが判明した。
二軸押出機((株)日本製鋼所製TEX30α)を用い、次の手順で本発明のPPS樹脂組成物を試作した。先ず、(A)PPSが35重量部、(B)PE−1が8重量部、(C)相溶化剤が2重量部、(D)タルクが0.1重量部となるように、二軸押出機のスロートホッパーから(A)〜(D)のドライブレンドを、サイドホッパーから(F)の熱伝導剤である人工黒鉛(昭和電工(株)製 粒子径5ミクロン)40重量部(全組成物濃度47重量%)を供給して、300℃、250min−1の押出条件で溶融混練を行い、押し出しストランドをメッシュコンベアに載せ、上部より冷却水を噴霧することにより冷却し切断してペレットを得た。
比較例12においてPPS樹脂53重量部、人工黒鉛47重量部をドライ混合して同様にコンパウンド押し出しを行い、かつ射出成形を実施した。射出成形では比較例10と同様に金型突き出しピンにて製品を取り出し段階で複数の破片となる不具合が観察された。辛うじて熱伝導率が測定できる破片にて熱伝導率を測定したところ2.5W/m・Kであり導電性評価で予測されたごとく、本発明に係る組成物は熱伝導材を含む複合材においても有効であることが証明された。
Claims (12)
- (A)ポリフェニレンスルフィド樹脂50〜95重量%と、(B)密度0.850〜0.935g/cm3のエチレン・α―オレフィン共重合体5〜25重量%と、(C)エチレンおよびメタクリル酸グリシジルまたはアクリル酸グリシジルを共重合してなる共重合ポリオレフィン2〜20重量%と、および(D)層状珪酸塩化合物0.01〜5重量%と、からなることを特徴とする樹脂組成物。
- 請求項1記載の樹脂組成物において、さらに(E)導電性カーボン0.01〜40重量部を添加したことを特徴とする樹脂組成物。
- 請求項1記載の樹脂組成物において、さらに(F)熱伝導材0.01〜90重量部を添加したことを特徴とする樹脂組成物。
- 請求項2記載の樹脂組成物において、さらに(F)熱伝導材0.01〜90重量部を添加したことを特徴とする樹脂組成物。
- 前記エチレン・α―オレフィン共重合体がメタロセン触媒により重合されたものであって、当該エチレン・α―オレフィン共重合体がドメインを形成し、前記ポリフェニレンスルフィド樹脂がマトリックスの海島構造の形態からなり、そのドメインサイズが0.05〜2.0μmであり、かつそのドメイン内にポリエチレンのラメラ構造を有することを特徴とする、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の樹脂組成物。
- 前記請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の樹脂組成物を素材として成形されたことを特徴とする二次電池用電槽。
- 前記二次電池用電槽がリチウムイオン二次電池用電槽であることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の二次電池用電槽。
- 前記請求項6または7のいずれかに記載の二次電池用電槽を複数収納するように成形されたことを特徴とするモジュール函。
- 前記モジュール函がリチウムイオン二次電池用電槽を複数収納するように成形されたことを特徴とする請求項8に記載のモジュール函。
- 前記請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の樹脂組成物を素材として成形されたことを特徴とする燃料容器。
- 前記燃料容器が、アルコール濃度が0〜100%である液体燃料を収納するように成形されたことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の燃料容器。
- 前記請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の樹脂組成物を素材として生成されたペレットから射出成形又は押し出し成形により得られたことを特徴とするシート。
