Description
(1)300sec/100cc以下の気体透過性(好ましくは200sec/100cc以下、さらに好ましくは150sec/100cc以下)と、
(2)5〜500μmの範囲の厚さ(好ましくは10〜100μm、さらに好ましくは10〜50μm)と、
(3)0.01〜10μmの範囲の孔径(好ましくは0.05〜5μm、さらに好ましくは0.05〜0.5μm)と、
(4)35〜85%の範囲の多孔性(porosity)(好ましくは40〜80%)と、
を有しても良い。
(1)活性成分と溶媒との混合物で微孔質膜を被覆し、その後、分離器を乾燥することと、
(2)ゲル状ポリマーで分離器を被覆することと、
(3)アノードと被覆された分離器とカソードとをラミネートし、電解質を含まない電池を形成することと、
(4)上記電池を「バッグ」(例えば、缶の代用となる漏れのない柔軟な包装)の中に設置することと、
(5)上記バッグへ電解質を加えることと、
(6)電池を処理し、ゲル電解質を形成させ、それによって活性電池が形成されることと、を含んでなることができる。
(1)ポリマーと可塑剤との溶媒和された混合物(solvated mixture)で微孔質膜を被覆することと、
(2)その後、分離器を乾燥することと、
(3)アノードと分離器とカソードとをラミネート(例えば加熱加圧)し、電解質を含まない電池を形成することと、
(4)可塑剤を(例えばメタノール等の適切な溶媒で抽出することにより)除去することと、
(5)「バッグ」の中に電池を設置することと、
(6)バッグへ電解質を加え、それにより活性電池が形成されることと、
を含んでなることができる。

Claims (12)
- 微孔質ポリオレフィン膜と、該微孔質ポリオレフィン膜の上にあるゲル状コーティングと、を含んでなるバッテリーセパレータであって、
該ゲル状コーティングは、ゲル状ポリマーと可塑剤との混合物を形成し、該膜に該混合物を被覆した後、可塑剤を除去することにより形成され、
該ゲル状コーティングが実質的に、
ポリふっ化ビニリデン、ポリウレタン、ポリエチレンオキサイド、ポリアクリロニトリル、ポリアクリル酸メチル、ポリアクリルアミド、ポリビニルアセテート、ポリビニルピロリドン、ポリテトラエチレングリコールジアクリレート、及び前記のいずれかのポリマーの共重合体、並びにこれらの組み合わせからなる群より選択されるゲル状ポリマーと、
フタル酸エステルである可塑剤と、
からなることを特徴とするバッテリーセパレータ。 - 前記フタル酸エステルが、フタル酸ジブチルであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバッテリーセパレータ。
- 請求項1に記載のバッテリーセパレータを備えた電池。
- リチウムイオン電池である請求項3に記載の電池。
- 前記膜がシャットダウン機能を備えたバッテリーセパレータである請求項1に記載のバッテリーセパレータ。
- 前記微孔質ポリオレフィン膜が、5〜500μmの範囲の厚さ、0.01〜10μmの範囲の孔径、35〜85%の範囲の多孔性を有し、ドライストレッチ方法または溶媒方法のいずれかによって製造される、請求項1に記載のバッテリーセパレータ。
- 微孔質ポリオレフィン膜と、該微孔質ポリオレフィン膜の上にあるゲル状コーティングと、を含んでなるバッテリーセパレータであって、
該ゲル状コーティングは、ゲル状ポリマーと可塑剤との混合物を形成し、該膜に該混合物を被覆した後、可塑剤を除去することにより形成され、
該ゲル状コーティングが実質的に、
ふっ化ビニリデンとヘキサフルオロプロピレンとの共重合体であるゲル状ポリマーと、
フタル酸エステルである可塑剤と、
からなることを特徴とするバッテリーセパレータ。 - 前記微孔質ポリオレフィン膜が、5〜500μmの範囲の厚さ、0.01〜10μmの範囲の孔径、35〜85%の範囲の微孔率を有し、ドライストレッチ方法または溶媒方法のいずれかによって製造される、請求項7に記載のバッテリーセパレータ。
- 請求項7に記載のバッテリーセパレータを備えた電池。
- 前記バッテリーセパレータがシャットダウン機能を備えたバッテリーセパレータである請求項9に記載の電池。
- リチウムイオン電池である請求項9に記載の電池。
- 前記フタル酸エステルがフタル酸ジブチルである、請求項7に記載のバッテリーセパレータ。
