Claims (16)
- 電池グリッドであって、
上部要素と、底部要素と、第1の側部要素と、第2の側部要素とを含むフレームと、
前記フレーム内に設けられ、複数の開口エリアを画定する複数のワイヤであって、複数のワイヤの各ワイヤが、ノードにあって他のワイヤセグメントに接合される複数のワイヤセグメントを含む複数のワイヤと、
前記上部要素から第1の方向に延伸する集電ラグと、
前記電池グリッドの寿命中に、前記電池グリッドが腐食することで前記第1の方向に前記電池グリッドが成長してしまう量を低減するように構成された、前記電池グリッドに設けられた少なくとも一つの成長低減特徴とを備え、
前記少なくとも一つの成長低減特徴が、第1ノード近傍の第1部分と、第2ノード近傍の第2部分と、前記第1部分と前記第2部分との中間に設けられる、前記ワイヤに所定量の応力がかかると破断するように構成されたウィークリンクとを有するワイヤセグメントを含む、
電池グリッド。 - 前記少なくとも1つの成長低減特徴が、前記上部要素が前記第1の方向に移動する傾向を低減するように構成された、請求項1に記載の電池グリッド。
- 前記ウィークリンクが、前記第1の部分が前記第2の部分に対して互い違いになるように、前記第1の部分と前記第2の部分との間に設けられた第3の部分とを含む、請求項1に記載の電池グリッド。
- 前記ウィークリンクが、前記第1の部分と前記第2の部分との間に設けられ、前記第1の部分および前記第2の部分より断面積が小さい第3の部分とを含む、請求項1に記載の電池グリッド。
- 前記少なくとも一つの成長低減特徴が、第1ノード近傍の第1の全体的に線形な部分と、第2ノード近傍の第2の全体的に線形な部分と、前記第1及び第2の全体的に線形な部分の中間に設けられる歪曲部とを有するワイヤセグメントとを含む、請求項1に記載の電池グリッド。
- 前記歪曲部が、グリッドが腐食することで生じた応力を再方向付けるように構成された曲線的な部分を含む、請求項5に記載の電池グリッド。
- 前記上部要素、前記底部要素、前記第1の側部要素、および前記第2の側部要素の少なくとも1つに設けられたノッチをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の電池グリッド。
- 前記ノッチが、前記底部要素に設けられる、請求項7に記載の電池グリッド。
- 前記上部要素に設けられたくぼみを含む、請求項1に記載の電池グリッド。
- 前記くぼみが、前記フレーム内に設けられたワイヤの方へ内向きに湾曲する湾曲部分を含む、請求項9に記載の電池グリッド。
- 前記少なくとも1つの成長低減特徴が、前記フレームの前記上部要素の少なくとも一部分を含み、前記上部要素の少なくとも一部分が、前記側部要素と直角に交わらないように、前記ラグから前記側部要素の1つへ角度をつけられた、請求項1に記載の電池グリッド。
- 前記フレーム内に設けられた緩衝ゾーンをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の電池グリッド。
- 前記複数のワイヤが、前記上部要素と前記底部要素との間に延伸する複数のワイヤを含み、前記緩衝ゾーンが、前記上部要素と前記底部要素との間に延伸する前記複数のワイヤの少なくとも1つに不連続部を含む、請求項12に記載の電池グリッド。
- 前記上部要素と、前記第1の側部要素および前記第2の側部要素の少なくとも1つとの間にあり、前記グリッドの成長によって生じる応力を吸収するように構成された前記フレームの曲線的な角をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の電池グリッド。
- 前記電池グリッドの寿命中に、前記電池グリッドが腐食することで前記第1の方向に前記電池グリッドが成長してしまう量を低減するように構成された、前記電池グリッドに設けられた複数の成長低減特徴を備える、請求項1に記載の電池グリッド。
- 鉛蓄電池で使用するように構成された、請求項1に記載の電池グリッド。
