Description
画像読取装置1は、FBSとして使用することも、ADF3を使用することも可能であるが、FBSの使用は本発明に特に関連しないので詳細な説明は省略する。ADF3を使用する場合には、原稿カバー4を原稿載置台2に対して閉じた状態とする。原稿カバー4の開閉は、原稿載置台2に設けられたセンサ等により検知され、原稿カバー4が閉じられるとADF3が使用可能となるように制御されている。そして、給紙トレイ30に読み取るべき原稿Gnが載置される。原稿Gnは、読取面(第1面)が上側となるように、所謂フェイスアップにして給紙トレイ30に載置される。また、原稿Gnは1枚であっても複数枚であってもよい。例えば、同じサイズの複数枚の原稿Gnの画像読取りを行う場合には、第1枚目の原稿G1の第1面が上向きとなるように、すなわちフェイスアップで重ね揃えて給紙トレイ30に載置される。

Claims (5)
- 画像読取りを行う原稿が載置される原稿載置部と画像読取りを行った原稿が排出される原稿排出部とを読取位置を経て連結する原稿搬送路と、
上記原稿搬送路の所定位置に連結され、読取位置の下流側から原稿の先端と後端とを逆転させて読取位置の上流側へ戻すためのスイッチバック搬送路と、
上記原稿搬送路の読取位置の上流側において幅方向の所定位置に配置されており、原稿の先端及び後端を検知するセンサと、
上記原稿搬送路の幅方向を走査ラインとして、上記センサによる原稿の先端及び後端の検知に基づいて上記原稿搬送路の読取位置において搬送される原稿の画像読取りを開始及び終了するラインセンサと、
上記ラインセンサにより読み取られた原稿の第1面の読取りライン数と第2面の読取りライン数との差が所定のライン数以上である場合に、斜行ありと判断する斜行検出手段と、
上記斜行検出手段が両面読取りを行う原稿の斜行ありを検出した場合に、該原稿を上記スイッチバック搬送路に搬送して、再び該原稿の両面読取りを行う制御手段と、を具備してなる画像読取装置。 - 上記制御手段は、上記斜行検出手段が同一原稿の斜行ありを所定回数以上検出した場合に、該原稿を原稿排出部へ排出して、エラー報知を行うものである請求項1に記載の画像読取装置。
- 上記原稿搬送路に、原稿の斜行を矯正する斜行矯正手段が設けられたものである請求項1又は2に記載の画像読取装置。
- 上記斜行矯正手段は、原稿搬送路に配置された搬送ローラに原稿の先端を突き当てて原稿を撓ませるレジスト機構である請求項3に記載の画像読取装置。
- 上記斜行矯正手段は、原稿搬送路又はスイッチバック搬送路に搬送方向に隔てて配置された一対の搬送ローラの周速差により原稿を撓ませるレジスト機構である請求項3に記載の画像読取装置。
