Claims (3)
- 車両用軸受装置の製造方法であって、該車両用軸受装置の外輪は、内周面に軌道面を備えた円筒状本体部と、該円筒状本体部の車両インナ側の外周面に設けられたフランジ部と、このフランジ部から車両インナ側に延設された円筒状インロー部とを備えたものであり、
上記フランジ部は、径方向外向きに耳状ないしは島状に突出するとともにボルト孔を備えた複数の大径フランジ部と、各大径フランジ部の周方向間に該大径フランジ部より小径でかつ周方向一定の外径とされてなる小径フランジ部とにより構成され、
上記フランジ部における小径フランジ部をチャック装置によりチャックして上記円筒状本体部の少なくとも外周面を旋削する工程と、
上記旋削の後、円筒状本体部の上記軌道面を含む内周面を熱処理する工程と、
上記熱処理後に、フランジ部の車両インナ側側面および円筒状インロー部の少なくとも外周面を旋削仕上げする工程とを含むとともに、
上記旋削仕上げ工程においては、旋削した円筒状本体部の外周面を、フランジ部の車両インナ側側面および円筒状インロー部の外周面、または内周面の旋削に対する加工基準としてチャックする、ことを特徴とする車両用軸受装置の製造方法。 - 上記チャック装置を、上記フランジ部における上記小径フランジ部の外周面を径方向外方から互いに周方向等間隔でチャックする複数のチャック部により構成することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両用軸受装置の製造方法。
- 上記チャック部のうちの少なくとも1つに、内周側に外径側に向けてくぼんだ凹部を備えたチャック部を用いる、ことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の車両用軸受装置の製造方法。
