Description
Claims (7)
- 複数の画素部を備えたACプラズマパネルであって、各画素は放電ガスを含み、行および列に配置され、各行の画素部は第1および第2の行電極を含み、
ACプラズマパネルは、
セットアップ期間において、行電極に沿った各画素部における放電ガスの第1の放電を引き起こす、漸増電圧勾配を有する第1の波形部と、行電極に沿った各画素部における放電ガスの第2の放電を引き起こす、漸減電圧勾配を有する第2の波形部とを有する駆動信号を、第1の行電極に供給する回路を備え、
第1および第2の波形部は、第1および第2の放電が生じている間、行電極に沿った各画素部における放電ガスに印加される第1および第2の行電極の間の電圧を放電閾値電圧に維持するように第1および第2の放電を制御することを特徴とするACプラズマパネル。 - 請求項1に記載のACプラズマパネルであって、
第1および第2の波形部は、第1および第2の放電が生じている間に生じる可視光を抑制することを特徴とするACプラズマパネル。 - 請求項2に記載のACプラズマパネルであって、
高いコントラスト比を有するディスプレイを実現することを特徴とするACプラズマパネル。 - 請求項1に記載のACプラズマパネルであって、
駆動信号は、行電極に沿った各画素部における放電ガスに印加される電圧を、各画素部における放電ガスの第1および第2の行電極の間の放電閾値電圧に設定することを特徴とするACプラズマパネル。 - 請求項4に記載のACプラズマパネルであって、
行電極に沿った各画素部における放電閾値電圧は一定でないことを特徴とするACプラズマパネル。 - 請求項1に記載のACプラズマパネルであって、
第1および第2の波形部を供給した後、行電極に沿った各画素部における壁電圧は、放電させることなく、行電極に沿った各画素部において維持し得る放電ガスの第1および第2の行電極の間の最大電圧に設定することを特徴とするACプラズマパネル。 - 請求項1に記載のACプラズマパネルであって、
第1および第2の波形部のそれぞれは、行電極に沿った各画素部に流れる電流量を低いレベルに制限して、第1および第2の放電が生じた後、行電極に沿った各画素部における放電ガスに印加される第1および第2の行電極の間の電圧を、放電閾値電圧を超えない電圧に維持することを特徴とするACプラズマパネル。
