Abstract
Description
1. アレイの中の複数のソーラーセルを電気的に相互接続するための、スイッチングマトリックスを有する電力ルーティングモジュールであって、スイッチングマトリックスが、電力ルーティングモジュールと複数のソーラーセルとの間で接続された複数の電流経路の間で電力のルートを動的に定めるように構成されている、電力ルーティングモジュール。ソーラーセルのうちの少なくとも1つは、コーナー領域を形成することになる少なくとも1つの刈り込まれたコーナー部を有し、コーナー領域の中の基板のエリアは、ソーラーセルが基板に取り付けられるときに、露出したままであり、スイッチングマトリックスを有する電力ルーティングモジュールが、露出したままであるコーナー領域の中の基板のエリアにおいて基板に取り付けられる。

例えば宇宙飛行用電力の用途に用いられる、ソーラーセルアレイの設計に関する新たな手法は、アレイ内のソーラーセル間の電気的接続に基づいている。
コーナー領域26内のソーラーセル14間の電気的接続を用いることで自動化が促進されるが、その一方で、顧客が必要とするカスタマイズを可能にする様々な構成を達成し得る、様々なコーナー導体20に対する需要も依然として存在する。しかし、このためには、コーナー領域26内に多数のコーナー導体20が必要とされ得るので、その結果コーナー導体20が密集して配置され、静電気放電(ESD)の懸念が生じてしまう。
基板12上に固定されたコーナー導体20を有するソーラーセルアレイ22を製造することができるが、上述のような静的PRM30の実施態様は、著しい可撓性及び設計及び製造の容易さを提供する。異なるコーナー導体20の間に固定された接続を有する、上記の静的PRM30を使用する代わりに、本開示は、スイッチングマトリックスを有するPRM30がどのようにこれらの接続を行うことができるかについて記載する。PRM30にスイッチングマトリックスを配置することによって、スイッチングマトリックスに対する空間量を最大にすることができる。

前記ソーラーセル(14)のうちの少なくとも1つが、コーナー領域(26)を形成することになる少なくとも1つの刈り込まれたコーナー部(24)を有し、
前記コーナー領域(24)の中の基板(12)のエリアは、前記ソーラーセル(14)が前記基板(12)に取り付けられるとき、露出したままであり、
前記スイッチングマトリックス(76)を有する前記電力ルーティングモジュール(30)が、露出したままである前記コーナー領域(26)の中の前記基板の前記エリア(28)において前記基板(12)に取り付けられる、方法。 - 前記スイッチングマトリックス(76)が、前記電力ルーティングモジュール(30)と一又は複数のバイパスダイオード(44)との間で接続された複数の電流経路の間で電力のルートを動的に定めるように構成される、請求項11に記載の方法。

- 前記スイッチングマトリックス(76)が、制御信号に応じて電力のルートを動的に定めるように構成される、請求項11から13の何れか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記制御信号が、遠隔源からの無線制御信号である、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記スイッチングマトリックス(76)は、内部で、選択された入力経路における電力が選択された出力経路に接続される、空間分割回路スイッチである、請求項11から15の何れか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記スイッチングマトリックス(76)は、各々が、制御信号に従って、前記選択された入力経路を前記選択された出力経路に接続する、一又は複数の接続ブロックから成る、請求項16に記載の方法。

- アレイの中の複数のソーラーセルを電気的に相互接続するための、スイッチングマトリックスを有する少なくとも1つの電力ルーティングモジュールから成るソーラーセルアレイを備え、前記スイッチングマトリックスが、前記電力ルーティングモジュールと前記複数のソーラーセルとの間で接続された複数の電流経路の間で電力のルートを動的に定めるように構成され、
前記ソーラーセルのうちの少なくとも1つは、コーナー領域を形成することになる少なくとも1つの刈り込まれたコーナー部を有し、
前記コーナー領域の中の基板のエリアは、前記ソーラーセルが前記基板に取り付けられるとき、露出したままであり、
前記スイッチングマトリックスを有する前記電力ルーティングモジュールが、露出したままである前記コーナー領域の中の前記基板の前記エリアにおいて前記基板に取り付けられる、ソーラーセルパネル。 - 前記スイッチングマトリックスが、前記電力ルーティングモジュールと一又は複数のバイパスダイオードとの間で接続された複数の電流経路の間で電力のルートを動的に定めるように構成される、請求項21に記載のソーラーセルパネル。
- 前記スイッチングマトリックスが、前記電力ルーティングモジュールと一又は複数の電力又は埋め込み線との間で接続された複数の電流経路の間で電力のルートを動的に定めるように構成される、請求項21に記載のソーラーセルパネル。
- 前記スイッチングマトリックスが、制御信号に応じて電力のルートを動的に定めるように構成される、請求項21に記載のソーラーセルパネル。
- 前記制御信号が、遠隔源からの無線制御信号である、請求項24に記載のソーラーセルパネル。
- 前記スイッチングマトリックスは、内部で、選択された入力経路における電力が選択された出力経路に接続される、空間分割回路スイッチである、請求項21に記載のソーラーセルパネル。
