Claims (10)
- 内部空間が隔壁によって複数の膨張室に区画されたマフラボディと、
前記マフラボディ内の排気通路を切り替える排気制御バルブと、を備える車両の排気装置であって、
前記排気通路は、
前記マフラボディの上流端と下流端とをストレートに繋ぐ第1排気通路と、
前記複数の膨張室を連通する連通管により前記複数の膨張室を経由して構成される第2排気通路と、を有し、
車両上下方向において、前記第1排気通路の中心は、前記マフラボディの中心よりも上方に位置し、前記第2排気通路は、前記第1排気通路の下方に位置することを特徴とする車両の排気装置。 - 前記第1排気通路の径は、前記第2排気通路の径より大きいことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両の排気装置。
- 前記第1排気通路の一部を構成し、外面に複数の貫通孔が形成されるパンチングパイプを備え、
前記第2排気通路を流れる排気ガスは、前記複数の貫通孔から前記第1排気通路に流入し、当該第1排気通路を通じて前記マフラボディの外に排出されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の車両の排気装置。 - 前記パンチングパイプに接続され、前記第1排気通路の下流端部を構成するテールパイプを備え、
前記テールパイプの径は、前記パンチングパイプの径より小さいことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の車両の排気装置。 - 車両前後方向において、前記連通管の少なくとも一部が前記複数の貫通孔に重なることを特徴とする請求項3又は請求項4に記載の車両の排気装置。
- 前記排気制御バルブは、前記マフラボディより上流に配置されることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項5のいずれかに記載の車両の排気装置。
- 前記排気通路は、前記マフラボディより上流で前記第1排気通路と前記第2排気通路の2つに分岐されることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項6のいずれかに記載の車両の排気装置。
- 前記連通管は、径の異なる2つの連通管を前記第1排気通路の下方に配置して構成され、
径が大きい方の前記連通管が他方の前記連通管より車両内側に配置されることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項7のいずれかに記載の車両の排気装置。 - 径が大きい方の前記連通管が他方の前記連通管より車両下側に配置されることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の車両の排気装置。
- 前記排気制御バルブは、
エンジンから延びる排気管と前記マフラボディとを接続するバルブボディと、
前記バルブボディ内に配置される弁体と、を有し、
前記バルブボディは、
前記第1排気通路に繋がるメイン部と、
前記第2排気通路に繋がるバイパス部と、を有し、
前記弁体は、前記メイン部を閉じたときに排気ガスを前記バイパス部へ誘導することを特徴とする請求項1から請求項9のいずれかに記載の車両の排気装置。
