Claims (3)
- 排気ポート(37)を有するシリンダヘッド(31)ならびに当該シリンダヘッド(31)に結合されるヘッドカバー(32)を有して車体フレーム(F)に搭載される機関本体(18)と、前記シリンダヘッド(31)の上方に配置されるエアクリーナ(39)と、前記エアクリーナ(39)および前記排気ポート(37)間を結ぶ二次空気導入通路(80)と、当該二次空気導入通路(80)の途中に介在して前記ヘッドカバー(32)に設けられるリード弁(81)と、前記二次空気導入通路(80)の連通および遮断を切替えることを可能として前記リード弁(81)および前記エアクリーナ(39)間で前記二次空気導入通路(80)の途中に介設されるソレノイド弁(82)とを備える鞍乗り型車両用内燃機関において、
前記リード弁(81)を収容するリード弁室(83)を前記ヘッドカバー(32)との間に形成するカバー部材(84)が前記ヘッドカバー(32)に取り付けられ、前記ソレノイド弁(82)が、接続管(90)を介して前記カバー部材(84)に接続されるとともに前記カバー部材(84)に支持され、車幅方向に複数の気筒が並ぶ直列多気筒である前記機関本体(18)の前記ヘッドカバー(32)に車幅方向に間隔をあけて取り付けられる複数の前記カバー部材(84)のうち車幅方向に並んで対をなす前記カバー部材(84)間に、前記ソレノイド弁(82)が配置され、車幅方向に並んで対をなす前記カバー部材(84)の前記ソレノイド弁(82)側に臨む側面に、配管接続部(84a)が設けられ、前記ソレノイド弁(82)および前記カバー部材(84)間を結んで車幅方向に一直線状に並ぶ一対の前記接続管(90)が前記配管接続部(84a)に接続され、前記接続管(90)が、前記ソレノイド弁(82)および前記カバー部材(84)間の距離を調節可能として前記配管接続部(84a)に嵌合、接続されることを特徴とする鞍乗り型車両用内燃機関における二次空気導入装置。 - 前記ソレノイド弁(82)の作動軸線(CA)が、前記複数の気筒のシリンダ軸線(C)を含む仮想平面(PL1)に直交する方向に設定され、前記シリンダ軸線(C)に沿う方向での前記カバー部材(84)の前記ヘッドカバー(32)からの最大突出端(84b)および前記ヘッドカバー(32)間に、車幅方向一方からの側面視で前記作動軸線(CA)が配置されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の鞍乗り型車両用内燃機関における二次空気導入装置。
- 前記ヘッドカバー(32)の上方に前記エアクリーナ(39)の一部が配置され、前記ヘッドカバー(32)の上方で前記エアクリーナ(39)の下部に、前記ソレノイド弁(82)との干渉を避けるようにして上方に凹んだ凹部(94)が形成されることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の鞍乗り型車両用内燃機関における二次空気導入装置。
