Abstract
【解決手段】マフラー70の内部に触媒体82が設けられ、触媒体82の排気ガスの入口から出口に沿って触媒体82の外周面を覆う筒状のケース65を備え、ケース65の一端部に触媒体82の入口側の端部が固定されると共に、ケース65の他端部に触媒体82の出口側の端部が支持され、ケース65の外周面がマフラー70の前端部に支持される。

Claims (6)
- マフラー(70)の内部に触媒体(82)が設けられる鞍乗型車両(10)の排気装置(50)において、
前記触媒体の排気ガスの入口から出口に沿って前記触媒体の外周面を覆う筒状のケース(65)を備え、
前記ケースの一端部に前記触媒体の入口側の端部が固定されると共に、前記ケースの他端部に前記触媒体の出口側の端部が支持され、
前記ケースの外周面が前記マフラーの前端部に支持されることを特徴とする鞍乗型車両の排気装置。 - 前記マフラー(70)の外板(71)と前記ケース(65)との間の空間(S2)が、前記触媒体(82)よりも下流側の消音室(72a)と連通することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の鞍乗型車両の排気装置。
- 前記触媒体が第2触媒体(82)であり、
前記第2触媒体よりも上流側の排気管(60)内に第1触媒体(81)が配置され、
前記排気管の下流端が前記ケース(65)に接続されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の鞍乗型車両の排気装置。 - 前記排気管(60)は、前記第1触媒体(81)の軸線(L3)と前記ケース(65)の軸線(L4)が交差するように湾曲して形成されることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の鞍乗型車両の排気装置。
- 前記排気管(60)は、前記第1触媒体(81)の入口側の端部に接続される左右割りモナカ形状に形成されることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の鞍乗型車両の排気装置。
- 前記排気管(60)は、前記第1及び第2触媒体(81,82)が後輪(WR)を支持するスイングアーム(23)の上方に配置され、且つ、揺動時の前記スイングアームに沿って、前記第1触媒体(81)が下方に配置され、前記第2触媒体(82)が上方に配置されるように形成されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の鞍乗型車両の排気装置。
