Claims (7)
- シリンダヘッドの排気ポートから延びる排気管の下流側に配置された鞍乗型車両の消音器構造であって、
消音器本体と、
前記排気管に接続され、前記消音器本体内に挿入されるパイプと、を有し、
前記パイプには、前記排気管の内径よりも拡径された内径を有する膨張室が設けられ、
前記膨張室は、少なくともその一部が前記消音器本体内に配置され、当該消音器本体内に配置された前記膨張室の外周面に複数の貫通孔が形成されることを特徴とする鞍乗型車両の消音器構造。 - 前記膨張室は、前記消音器本体の中央部よりも上流側に配置されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の鞍乗型車両の消音器構造。
- 前記膨張室は、前記排気管に接続され、上流側の内径より下流側の内径が大きく拡がる拡径部と、前記拡径部に接続され、上流側の内径よりも下流側の内径が小さく窄まる縮径部とを有し、
前記複数の貫通孔は、前記縮径部の外周面に形成されることを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2に記載の鞍乗型車両の消音器構造。 - 前記膨張室は、前記消音器本体の上流側端部を跨ぐように配置され、
前記拡径部は、前記消音器本体の外側に配置されることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の鞍乗型車両の消音器構造。 - 前記パイプは、前記消音器本体の上流側端部から下流側端部まで貫通することを特徴とする請求項1から請求項4のいずれかに記載の鞍乗型車両の消音器構造。
- 前記パイプは、前記消音器本体の上流側端部に配置された壁面と、前記消音器本体の下流側端部に配置された壁面とによって支持されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の鞍乗型車両の消音器構造。
- 前記パイプは、前記膨張室よりも下流側の管状部と、前記膨張室の下流側端部とが圧入により接合されることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項6のいずれかに記載の鞍乗型車両の消音器構造。
