Claims (38)
- 光通信ケーブルであって、
(A)前記ケーブルのコアを有し、前記コアは、
(i)各々がクラッドによって包囲されたコアを有する光ファイバと、
(ii)前記光ファイバのサブセットを包囲する緩衝材管と、
(iii)中心抗張力体とを有し、前記緩衝材管は、前記緩衝材管の布設方向に反転部を含む撚りパターンをなして前記中心抗張力体周りに撚られており、
(B)前記コアを包囲する外装材を有し、前記外装材は、金属を含み、
(C)前記外装材を包囲すると共に該外装材に結合されたジャケットを有し、前記ジャケットは、ポリマーを含み、
(D)前記緩衝材管を前記中心抗張力体周りの位置に保持する結合材フィルムを有し、
前記結合材フィルムは、前記コアを包囲すると共に前記外装材に対して内側に位置し、
前記結合材フィルムは、前記外装材の内側に結合され、それにより、前記外装材及び前記ジャケットを除去したときの前記結合材フィルムの同時除去により前記コアに対する迅速な接近がもたらされる、光通信ケーブル。 - 前記結合材フィルムは、その主要成分としてポリマーを含む、請求項1記載の光通信ケーブル。
- 前記結合材フィルムの前記ポリマーは、ポリエチレンかポリプロピレンかのいずれかであり、前記ジャケットの前記ポリマーは、ポリエチレンである、請求項2記載の光通信ケーブル。
- 前記結合材フィルムは、前記コア要素周りに周囲方向に連続していて、断面で見て連続閉ループをなすと共に少なくとも10メートルである前記ケーブルの長さに沿って連続した長さ方向を有する、請求項1〜3のうちいずれか一に記載の光通信ケーブル。
- 平均して、前記ジャケットは、前記結合材フィルムよりも少なくとも5倍厚い、請求項1〜4のうちいずれか一に記載の光通信ケーブル。
- 前記結合材フィルムは、外面を有し、前記外装材は、内面を有し、前記結合材の前記外面は、グルー、結合材、及び化学的接着方式のうちの少なくとも1つにより前記外装材の層の前記内面に結合されている、請求項1〜5のうちいずれか一に記載の光通信ケーブル。
- (E)前記結合材フィルムと前記コアとの間で前記結合材フィルムの内面上に配置された吸水粉末粒子、を更に有する、請求項1〜6のうちいずれか一に記載の光通信ケーブル。
- 前記粉末粒子のうちの少なくとも一部は、部分的に前記結合材フィルム中に埋め込まれており、該粉末粒子の一部分は、前記結合材フィルム中に潜没され、該粉末粒子の別の部分は、露出されている、請求項7記載の光通信ケーブル。
- 前記ジャケットは、前記外装材に結合され、該結合は、化学的結合材によって促進され、前記外装材は、側縁を備えた波形金属シートを含む、請求項1〜8のうちいずれか一に記載の光通信ケーブル。
- 前記ジャケットは、
(i)第1の材料で形成されていて内面及び外面を備えた主要部分と、
(ii)第2の材料で作られていて前記主要部分内に埋め込まれた接近特徴部とを有し、前記接近特徴部のうちの1つは、前記外装材の前記側縁を覆っている、請求項9記載の光通信ケーブル。 - 光通信ケーブルであって、

(B)前記コアを包囲した外装材を有し、前記外装材は、2つ又は3つ以上の別々の外装材部品を含み、各外装材部品は、前記別々の外装材部品を組み合わせて前記外装材を形成するよう前記別々の外装材部品のうちの別の外装材部品に対応のインターフェースのところで接合された側縁を有し、前記インターフェースは、全自由度よりも小さい自由度で互いに接合された前記別々の外装材部品の前記側縁を着座させ、それぞれの別々の外装材部品が互いに接線方向に引き離すと共に前記着座部から引き離すことができるようになっており、
(C)前記外装材を包囲したジャケットを有し、前記ジャケットは、前記別々の外装材部品を互いに保持し、前記ジャケットは、
(i)第1の材料で形成されていて、内面及び外面を備えた主要部分と、
(ii)第2の材料で形成されていて前記主要部分内に埋め込まれた補助部分を有し、前記補助部分は、それぞれ、前記別々の外装材部品の前記インターフェースを覆い、前記補助部分は、前記対応のインターフェースと関連したジッパー作用を軽減し、前記別々の外装材部品を互いに接線方向に引き離したときに前記インターフェース周りの前記ジャケットの引き裂き開放を容易にすることによってシングルステップコア接近を支援する、光通信ケーブル。 - 前記ジャケットの前記主要部分は、前記外装材に緊密に結合され、該結合は、化学的結合材によって促進される、請求項11記載の光通信ケーブル。
- 前記別々の外装材部品は、2つの部品であり、前記2つの部品の互いに反対側で前記2つの部品の隣り合う側縁のところに2つのインターフェースしか存在しておらず、前記別々の外装材部品のうちの一方は、前記2つのインターフェースの各々のところで他方の外装材部品のための受座となるよう変形し、その結果、前記2つの別々の外装材部品は、前記インターフェースのところで互いに圧着されるようになっている、請求項11又は12記載の光通信ケーブル。

- 前記結合材フィルムは、前記コア要素周りに周囲方向に連続していて、断面で見て連続閉ループをなすと共に少なくとも10メートルである前記ケーブルの長さに沿って連続した長さ方向を有する、請求項15記載の光通信ケーブル。
- (E)前記結合材フィルムの内面上に前記結合材フィルムと前記コア要素との間に配置された吸水粉末粒子を更に有し、前記粉末粒子のうちの少なくとも一部は、部分的に前記結合材フィルム中に埋め込まれており、該粉末粒子の一部分は、前記結合材フィルム中に潜没され、該粉末粒子の別の部分は、露出されている、請求項15又は16記載の光通信ケーブル。

前記チャネル内に配置された複数本の光伝送要素を有し、
押し出し成形された第2の材料で作られていて外面を備えた結合材フィルムを有し、前記結合材フィルムは、前記複数本の光伝送要素を包囲し、
前記チャネル内に配置されていて前記複数本の光伝送要素を包囲すると共に前記結合材フィルムを包囲した外装材層を有し、前記結合材フィルムの前記外面は、前記外装材層の内面に結合されている、光通信ケーブル。 - 前記外装材層の外面が前記ジャケットの前記内面に結合されている、請求項19記載の光通信ケーブル。
- 前記結合材フィルムは、前記複数本の光伝送要素を互いに結合し、前記結合材フィルムと前記外装材層との結合及び前記外装材層と前記ジャケットの結合により、前記ジャケット、前記外装材層及び前記結合材フィルムを開放する単一の行為によって、前記光伝送要素に接近できる、請求項20記載の光通信ケーブル。
- 前記ジャケット内に埋め込まれた第1の細長い部材及び前記ジャケット内に埋め込まれた第2の細長い部材を更に有し、前記第1の細長い部材及び前記第2の細長い部材は、前記チャネル内に配置された前記複数本の光伝送要素への接近を助けるために前記ジャケットの引き裂きを促進する、請求項19〜21のうちいずれか一に記載の光通信ケーブル。
- 前記結合材フィルムの平均厚さは、前記ジャケットの平均厚さの1/5未満である、請求項19〜22のうちいずれか一に記載の光通信ケーブル。
- 前記結合材フィルム内に埋め込まれた止水材料の粒子を更に有し、前記押し出し成形された第1の材料は、ポリエチレン材料であり、前記押し出し成形された第2の材料は、ポリエチレン材料及びポリプロピレン材料のうちの少なくとも一つであり、前記外装材層は、波形金属材料である、請求項19〜23のうちいずれか一に記載の光通信ケーブル。
- 前記複数本の光伝送要素のうちの少なくとも1本は、緩衝材管によって包囲された光ファイバを含み、前記結合材フィルムは、内面を有し、前記結合材フィルムの前記内面は、前記緩衝材管の外面に直接接触している、請求項19〜24のうちいずれか一に記載の光通信ケーブル。
- 前記結合材フィルムは、前記複数本の光伝送要素の周りに周囲方向に連続していて前記ケーブルの長軸に垂直な断面で見て連続閉ループを形成しており、更に、前記結合材フィルムは、前記ケーブルの長さに沿って少なくとも10メートルにわたる連続長さ方向を有する、請求項19〜25のうちいずれか一に記載の光通信ケーブル。
- 前記チャネル内に配置された中心抗張力体を更に有し、前記複数本の光伝送要素は、S‐Z撚りパターンをなして前記中心抗張力体に巻き付けられている、請求項19〜26のうちいずれか一に記載の光通信ケーブル。
- 前記結合材フィルムは、ヤング率が3ギガパスカル以下のポリマー材料で作られ、前記結合材フィルムの厚さは、0.5mm未満である、請求項19〜27のうちいずれか一に記載の光通信ケーブル。
- 前記結合材フィルムは、結合材により前記外装材に結合されている、請求項19〜28のうちいずれか一に記載の光通信ケーブル。
- 光通信ケーブルであって、
支持部材と、
前記支持部材に巻き付けられた複数本の光伝送要素と、
前記支持部材を包囲すると共に前記複数本の光伝送要素を包囲した結合材メンブレンと、
前記支持部材、前記複数本の光伝送要素及び前記結合材メンブレンに巻き付けられた外装材と、
内面及び外面を備えたジャケットとを有し、前記外面は、前記ジャケットの外側を定め、前記内面は、チャネルを画定し、
前記支持部材、前記複数本の光伝送要素、前記結合材メンブレン及び前記外装材は、前記チャネル内に配置され、
前記結合材メンブレンは、前記複数本の光伝送要素を前記支持部材の周りに互いに結合するよう作用し、
前記結合材メンブレンは、前記結合材メンブレン及び前記外装材が単一の引き裂き行為により一緒に開放可能に構成されるよう前記外装材に結合されている、光通信ケーブル。 - 前記結合材メンブレンは、前記複数本の光伝送要素の周りに周囲方向に連続していて前記複数本の光伝送要素の長軸に垂直な断面で見て連続閉ループを形成しており、更に、前記結合材メンブレンは、前記ケーブルの長さに沿って少なくとも10メートルにわたる連続長さ方向を有し、前記外装材は、前記結合材メンブレン、前記外装材及び前記ジャケットが単一の引き裂き行為により一緒に開放可能に構成されるよう前記ジャケットに結合されている、請求項30記載の光通信ケーブル。
- 前記結合材メンブレンの厚さは、前記ジャケットの厚さの1/5未満である、請求項30又は31記載の光通信ケーブル。
- 前記外装材は、第1の側縁及び反対側の第2の側縁を有し、前記外装材は、前記第1の側縁が前記第2の側縁とオーバラップしてオーバラップ部分を形成するよう前記支持部材、前記複数本の光伝送要素及び前記結合材メンブレンに巻き付けられている、請求項30〜32のうちいずれか一に記載の光通信ケーブル。
- 前記ジャケットは、第1の押し出し成形された材料で作られた一次部分及び前記第1の押し出し成形材料内に埋め込まれている第2の押し出し成形された材料で作られた二次部分を有し、前記第2の押し出し成形材料は、半径方向に見て前記外装材の前記オーバラップ部分と整列している、請求項33記載の光通信ケーブル。
- 前記第1の押し出し成形材料の弾性率は、100〜800MPaであり、前記第2の押し出し成形材料の弾性率は、前記第1の材料の半分以下である、請求項34記載の光通信ケーブル。
- 光通信ケーブルであって、
押し出し成形された第1の材料で形成されていてチャネルを画定する内面を備えたジャケットを有し、
前記チャネル内に配置された複数本の光伝送要素を有し、
第1の材料とは異なる押し出し成形された第2の材料で形成されていて外面を備えた結合材フィルムを有し、前記結合材フィルムは、前記複数本の光伝送要素を包囲し、
前記複数本の光伝送要素を包囲すると共に前記結合材フィルムを包囲し且つ前記チャネル内に配置された外装材層を有し、前記結合材フィルムの前記外面は、前記外装材層の内面に結合され、前記外装材層の外面が前記ジャケットの前記内面に結合されている、光通信ケーブル。 - 前記結合材フィルムは、前記複数本の光伝送要素の周りに周囲方向に連続していて前記複数本の光伝送要素の長軸に垂直な断面で見て連続閉ループを形成しており、前記結合材フィルムは、前記ケーブルの長さに沿って少なくとも10メートルにわたる連続長さ方向を有し、前記結合材フィルムの厚さは、前記ジャケットの厚さの1/5未満である、請求項36記載の光通信ケーブル。
- 前記外装材層は、第1の側縁及び反対側の第2の側縁を有し、前記外装材層は、前記第1の側縁が前記第2の側縁とオーバラップしてオーバラップ部分を形成するよう前記複数本の光伝送要素及び前記結合材フィルムに巻き付けられ、前記ジャケットは、前記第1の押し出し成形材料内に埋め込まれている第2の押し出し成形された材料で作られた細長い部分を有し、前記細長い部分は、半径方向に見て前記外装材の前記オーバラップ部分と整列している、請求項36又は37記載の光通信ケーブル。
