Abstract
Description
本出願は、2012年10月5日付けで出願された、米国特許仮出願第61/710,412号の優先権を主張する。
(a)6重量%を超えるアクリル酸メチルマー単位をその中に有する、塩化ビニリデン/アクリル酸メチルインターポリマーと、
(b)6重量%を超えるエポキシ可塑剤と、
(c)4重量%未満のアクリレートポリマーと、を含む。
本組成物は、塩化ビニリデン/アクリル酸メチルインターポリマーを含む。塩化ビニリデンポリマーまたは「VDC」は、塩化ビニリデン樹脂、塩化ビニリデンのインターポリマー、塩化ビニリデンインターポリマー、および塩化ビニリデンのコポリマーとしても知られている。本明細書に用いられるように、用語「塩化ビニリデンのインターポリマー」、「塩化ビニリデンインターポリマー」または「PVDC」は、その主な成分が塩化ビニリデンであり、任意で、塩化ビニリデンモノマーと共重合可能な、塩化ビニル、アクリル酸アルキル、メタクリル酸アルキル、アクリル酸、メタクリル酸、イタコン酸、アクリロニトリル、およびメタクリロニトリルなどのモノエチレン性不飽和モノマー(モノ不飽和コモノマー)を1種以上有する、コポリマー、ターポリマー、ならびにより高度なポリマーを含む。
本組成物はエポキシ可塑剤を含む。エポキシ可塑剤は、少なくとも600ダルトンの分子量を有する。一実施形態では、エポキシ可塑剤は少なくとも600ダルトン、または700ダルトン、または800ダルトンから、2,000ダルトン、または5,000ダルトン、または10,000ダルトンの分子量を有する。
本組成物はアクリレートポリマーを含む。一実施形態では、アクリレートポリマーはメタクリル系ポリマーであってもよい。メタクリル系ポリマーは、少なくとも1種のメタクリル酸アルキルモノマーまたはその組み合わせを含むモノマーから、任意に少なくとも1種のアクリル酸アルキルまたはスチレン系モノマーもしくはその組み合わせを有して調製され得る。すなわち、メタクリル酸アルキルモノマー、および任意にアクリル酸アルキルモノマーのマー単位を有する。
本組成物は、任意で1つ以上の添加剤を含んでいてもよい。好適な添加剤の非限定的な例としては、紫外線安定剤、熱安定剤、酸捕捉剤、顔料、加工助剤、潤滑剤、充填剤、酸化防止剤、およびそれらの任意の組み合わせが挙げられる。
(a)86重量%超から93.5重量%のPVDC/MAインターポリマーであって、このポリマー内に6.5%から9%のアクリル酸メチルマー単位を有する、インターポリマーと、
(b)6重量%超から10重量%のエポキシ化大豆油と、
(c)メタクリル酸メチル、メタクリル酸ブチル、およびアクリル酸ブチルのインターポリマーである、0.5重量%から4重量%未満のアクリレートポリマーと、を含む。
本開示は物品を提供する。物品は本組成物を含む。一実施形態では、物品は、フィルム(単層または多層)、シート、繊維、およびそれらの組み合わせから選択される。
(a)6重量%超えるアクリル酸メチルマー単位を有する、塩化ビニリデン/アクリル酸メチルインターポリマー、
(b)6重量%を超えるエポキシ可塑剤、および
(c)4重量%未満のアクリレートポリマー。
矛盾して記載されない限りは、内容から暗示されるか従来技術において通例であるように、全ての部およびパーセントは重量に基づくものであり、全ての試験法は本開示の出願日現在のものである。
結晶化時間は示差走査熱量計(DSC)で測定される。DSCは所望の試験温度にて等温モードに設定され、その温度で安定化させられる。溶融混合樹脂の10mgのサンプルを量り、密閉されているサンプルパンに入れる。サンプルは次に185℃で75秒間、溶融されて、その後、サンプルは室温の金属バーに15秒間載置されて直ちに急冷される。次に、サンプルはDSCセルに載置されて、所望の試験温度に設定される。試験は、サンプルが設定値から0.3℃以内になったときに開始される。試験は等温的に継続されて、サンプルの結晶化に関連付けられる発熱ピークを結果として得る。ピーク最大までの時間は、分単位で結晶化速度として記録される。より高い結晶化時間は、より遅い結晶化速度に対応する。
組成物1−実施例1〜4
7.5重量%のアクリル酸メチル含有量を有する塩化ビニリデン/アクリル酸メチルインターポリマー樹脂と1重量%のエポキシ化大豆油が追加のエポキシ化大豆油(可塑剤)とブレンドされて、表2に示されるさまざまな全重量パーセントのエポキシ可塑剤を有する実施例を得る。PLASTISTRENGTH(商標)L1000(アクリレートポリマー)を添加してその他の成分とブレンドした。結果として得られるブレンド(組成物1)はテープ状(0.012インチ厚さ)に押し出されて、ブレンドを溶融混合した。押出しは、WELEX1.75”押出機を用いて、温度プロファイルが127℃から174℃、毎時50ポンド(lb/時)の押出速度で行われた。実施例1〜4(組成物1)の特性は表2に報告されている。
7.7重量%のアクリル酸メチル含有量を有する塩化ビニリデン/アクリル酸メチルインターポリマーおよび10重量%のエポキシ化大豆油(可塑剤)を、2重量%のPLASTISTRENGTH(商標)L1000(アクリレートポリマー)と混合させる。結果として得られるブレンドはテープ状(0.012インチ厚さ)に押し出されて、実施例1〜4と同様に溶融混合される。
7.5重量%のアクリル酸メチル含有量を有する塩化ビニリデン/アクリル酸メチルインターポリマー樹脂および1重量%のエポキシ化大豆油を、追加のエポキシ化大豆油9重量%とブレンドして、次にさらに表1からのポリオレフィン加工助剤1.3重量%とブレンドされた。結果として得られるブレンド(比較サンプルA)はテープ状(0.012インチ厚さ)に押し出されて、実施例1〜5と同様にブレンドを溶融混合する。その結果は表2に報告されている。
8.5重量%のアクリル酸メチル含有量を有し、1.75重量%のエポキシ化大豆油および2.0重量%のPLASTISTRENGTH L1000(米国特許第6,627,679号にて記載される凝固プロセスを介して添加される)を含有する塩化ビニリデン/アクリル酸メチルインターポリマー樹脂を、追加のエポキシ化大豆油とブレンドして、表3に報告されるようにさまざまな合計重量パーセントのエポキシ可塑剤を有する組成物を得る。ブレンド混合物は60℃で3時間加熱されて、ポリマー内にエポキシ化大豆油を浸み込ませた。ブレンドは次にテープ状(0.012インチ厚さ)に押し出された。押出しはWELEX1.75”押出機を用いて、温度プロファイルが127℃から174℃、押出速度が50lb/時で行われた。実施例6〜9の組成物の特性は表3に報告されている。
Claims (15)
- (A)インターポリマー内に6重量%を超えるアクリル酸メチルマー単位を有する塩化ビニリデン/アクリル酸メチルインターポリマーと、
(B)6重量%を超えるエポキシ可塑剤と、
(C)4重量%未満のアクリレートポリマーと、を含む、組成物。 - 前記組成物は、35℃での結晶化に対して25分を超える結晶化時間を有する、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記組成物は、35℃での結晶化に対して50分を超える結晶化時間を有する、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記組成物は、35℃での結晶化に対して75分を超える結晶化時間を有する、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記塩化ビニリデン/アクリル酸メチルインターポリマーは、前記ポリマー内に、6.5重量%から9重量%のアクリル酸メチルマー単位を有する、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 前記エポキシ化可塑剤は、600ダルトンを超える分子量を有する、請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 前記エポキシ可塑剤はエポキシ化大豆油である、請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 前記アクリレートポリマーは、アクリル酸メチル、アクリル酸ブチル、メタクリル酸メチル、メタクリル酸ブチル、スチレン、およびそれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される、請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 前記アクリレートポリマーは、メタクリル酸メチル、メタクリル酸ブチル、およびアクリル酸ブチルのインターポリマーである、請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- (A)86重量%超から93.5重量%の塩化ビニリデン/アクリル酸メチルインターポリマーであって、前記ポリマー内に6.5%から9%のアクリル酸メチルマー単位を有する、インターポリマーと、
(B)6重量%超から10重量%のエポキシ化大豆油と、
(C)メタクリル酸メチル、メタクリル酸ブチル、およびアクリル酸ブチルのインターポリマーである、0.5重量%から4重量%未満のアクリレートポリマーと、を含む、請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載の組成物。 - 酸素透過率が1.5から9.0cc−ミル/100インチ2−気圧−日である、請求項1〜10のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 請求項1に記載の組成物を含む、物品。
- 前記物品は、フィルム、シート、繊維、およびそれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される、請求項12に記載の物品。
- 前記物品は1.5から15.0cc−ミル/100インチ2−気圧−日の酸素透過率を有する包装用フィルムである、請求項13に記載の物品。
- (A)第1および第2の表面層と、
(B)前記表面層の間に配置される内層であって、請求項1〜11のいずれかに記載の組成物を含む、内層と、を備える、多層フィルム。
