Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA DETECçãO DE VAZAMENTOS EM EMBALAGENS SELADAS". A presente invenção refere-se a um processo para detectar um vazamento em uma embalagem. O processo compreende preparar uma embalagem mediante cobertura de pelo menos uma porção de um produto sensível a O~ 2~ COM um filme de multicamadas, compreendendo: (i) uma camada indicadora de vazamento na qual um agente indicador sensível a O~ 2~ está presente em toda a camada indicadora de vazamento; e (ii) uma camada de barreira de O~ 2~ que se estende para fora da camada indicadora de vazamento. Um ambiente de baixo teor de oxigênio é proporcionado dentro da embalagem. A camada indicadora de vazamento é depois iluminada com luz contendo um comprimento de onda absorvido pelo agente indicador sensível a O~ 2~, de modo que o agente indicador sensível a O~ 2~ produz uma emissão de radiação em uma quantidade inversamente proporcional a um nível de O~ 2~ presente no agente indicador sensível a O~ 2~. O filme de multicamadas é depois escaneado, ao mesmo tempo em que o agente indicador sensível a O~ 2~ emite radiação, o escaneamento sendo realizado mediante detecção e comparação da quantidade de radiação emitida de pelo menos duas regiões diferentes do filme de multicamadas.
