Abstract

"PROCESSO E APARELHO PARA MONITORAR ARTIGOS PARA DETERMINAR A PRESENçA DE UMA CARACTERìSTICA INDICADORA DE AUTENTICIDADE". Um processo e aparelho para monitorar artigos, para determinar a presença de uma característica indicadora de autenticidade. O processo compreende irradiar um artigo com radiação em no mínimo primeira e segunda faixas de onda; detectar a primeira radiação gerada pelo artigo em resposta à irradiação na primeiro faixa de onda, a primeira faixa de onda sendo escolhida de tal modo que a primeira radiação gerada varia de acordo com a presença ou ausência da característica indicadora de autenticidade e em resposta à presença de material de escurecimento no artigo. Segunda radiação gerada pelo artigo em resposta à irradiação na segunda faixa de onda é detectada, a segunda faixa de onda sendo escolhida de tal modo que a segunda radiação gerada pelo artigo varia como o grau de material de o escurecimento no artigo, mas é substancialmente independente da presença da característica indicadora de autenticidade. As radiações detectadas são comparadas para determinar se a característica indicadora de autenticidade está presente ou não.
