Abstract
Description
別段の記載がない限り、使用した担体物質は、最大1000℃の温度で安定であり、かつ表面積およそ100m2/g及びおよそ1.1ml/gの細孔容積を有する、市販のシータ相転移アルミナ粉末であった。下記において、報告されている安定化金属の重量パーセントは、耐火性担体物質上の金属としての重量パーセントである。
5.89gの硝酸カルシウム四水和物を少量の水に溶解し、穏やかに加熱して50mlにした。次いで、金属溶液を20gのアルミナ担体に、常に撹拌しながら3回に分けて加えた。少量の水を使用してガラス製品をすすぎ、初期湿潤を実現した。次いで、含浸された担体を105℃で乾燥させた後、500℃で2時間焼成した。
この方法は、Caの添着において担体重量の10%まで繰り返された。

(e)ストロンチウムドープ:5%wtのSr/Al2O3
(f)セリウムドープ:10%wtのCe/Al2O3
(g)ランタンドープ:10%wtのLa/Al2O3
実施例1の修飾した触媒担体から選択した一つを、硝酸白金及び硝酸パラジウムの溶液に含浸し、乾燥し、焼成して、最終的な触媒を生成した。硝酸Pd溶液は15.10%wtのPdを含有しており、硝酸Pt溶液は16.17%wtのPtを含有していた。
1.74gの硝酸Pdを、0.54gの硝酸Ptと混合した。その後、およそ2.5mlの水を加えて、処理溶液を調製した。次いで、この溶液を撹拌しながら、5gの5%wtのCa/Al2O3担体に撹拌しながら滴下した。担体の細孔容積は、およそ1ml/gであった。少量の水を追加で使用して、ガラス製品をすすぎ、インシピエントウェットネス(incipient wetness)を達成した。次いで、含浸された材料を105℃で乾燥後、500℃で2時間焼成した。

触媒は、シータアルミナをいくらかのデルタアルミナとともに含んでいた。Caは、800℃での焼成後、CaPd3O4として存在している。Ptも、いくらか交換可能な2つの貴金属とともにこの相中に存在している。800℃で焼成した試料において、CaO又はCa−アルミン酸塩種の痕跡は見られなかった。500℃での焼成だけでは、混合金属酸化物を生成しなかった。
450gのアルミナを、101.04gの硝酸Pd(Pd含有量15.10%)及び95.11gの硝酸Pt(Pt含有量16.56%)及び約250mlの水に含浸させることにより、3.5%Pd 3.5%Pt/Al2O3触媒を最初に調製した。次いで、材料を終夜乾燥させ、500℃/4時間で焼成した。
実施例2及び3の触媒を、炉内に封入されたペレット化触媒を含有する石英管反応装置を含む実験用燃焼装置を使用して試験した。装置には、質量流量制御器を介して制御される3つのガス(N2、空気、CH4)の混合物によって送給した。炉の上流で、混合供給ガスに加熱区間を通過させ、ここで液体水を該ガスに添加して、N2、空気、CH4及び水蒸気を含む反応装置用の供給ガスを生成した。生成ガスを反応装置から回収し、水分離器を通過させて乾燥生成ガスを生成し、ガスクロマトグラフィーを使用して分析した。
メタン燃焼は、上述した通りに調製され、反応装置のチャネル内に載置された金属箔にウォッシュコートされた、Ca修飾Pt/Pd燃焼触媒を包含するマルチチャネル反応装置を使用して実施した。
Claims (34)
- 耐火性金属酸化物の担体物質上に合計1−10重量%の一又は複数の貴金属を含み、合計1−20重量%の希土類、及び元素の周期律表のIA,IIA,IIIA族から選択される一又は複数の安定化金属をさらに含む、炭化水素の高温燃焼用に担持された貴金属触媒であって、少なくとも貴金属の一部が一又は複数の安定化金属との混合金属酸化物として存在する、触媒。
- 全貴金属含有量が5−10重量%の範囲である、請求項1に記載の触媒。
- 貴金属が白金及び/又はパラジウムを含み、少なくとも白金及び/又はパラジウムの一部が混合金属酸化物として存在する、請求項1又は請求項2に記載の触媒。
- 貴金属が白金とパラジウムを含み、少なくとも白金及び/又はパラジウムの一部が酸化物として存在し、一又は複数のPt/Pd合金をさらに含んでもよい、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の触媒。
- パラジウム対白金の重量比が、1:10から10:1、好ましくは1:2から10:1、より好ましくは1:2から2:1、最も好ましくは約1:1である、請求項4に記載の触媒。
- 耐火性金属酸化物の担体物質が、アルミナ、ジルコニア、チタニア、シリカ、スズ酸化物、及びそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の触媒。
- 安定化金属が、リチウム、ナトリウム、カリウム、マグネシウム、カルシウム、ストロンチウム、バリウム、スカンジウム、イットリウム、ランタン、及びセリウムの一又は複数を含む、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の触媒。
- 安定化金属がカルシウムを含む、請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の触媒。
- 触媒のカルシウム含有量が耐火性金属酸化物の担体上に1−10重量%、好ましくは2.5−7.5重量%の範囲である、請求項8に記載の触媒。
- 混合金属酸化物がCaM3O4を含み、MがPd及び/又はPtである、請求項8又は請求項9に記載の触媒。
- 耐火性金属酸化物の担体物質が粉末である、請求項1から10のいずれか一項に記載の触媒。
- 耐火性金属酸化物に、安定化金属の溶液及び貴金属の溶液をいずれかの順序で別個に含浸させる工程と、前記の各含浸に続く第一及び第二の焼成工程とを含む、請求項1から11のいずれか一項に記載の触媒を調製する方法であって、第一の焼成工程が400−600℃の範囲の最高温度で実施され、第二の焼成工程が600−950℃の範囲の最高温度で実施される、方法。
- (i)耐火性金属酸化物の担体を貴金属の溶液に含浸し、乾燥し、その含浸された担体を第一の焼成工程で焼成して、未修飾の触媒を生成する工程と、(ii)未修飾の触媒を安定化金属の溶液に含浸し、乾燥し、その含浸された触媒を第二の焼成工程で焼成して、修飾した触媒を生成する工程とを含む、請求項12に記載の方法であって、第一の焼成工程が400−600℃の範囲の最高温度で実施され、第二の焼成工程が600−950℃の範囲の最高温度で実施される、方法。
- (i)耐火性金属酸化物を安定化金属の溶液に含浸し、乾燥し、その含浸された担体を第一の焼成工程において400−600℃の範囲の最高温度で焼成して、修飾した担体物質を生成する工程と、(ii)修飾した担体物質を貴金属の溶液に含浸し、乾燥し、その含浸された修飾した担体を第二の焼成工程において600−950℃の範囲の最高温度で焼成する工程とを含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 第二の焼成工程が、750−850℃の範囲の最高温度で実施される、請求項12から14のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 第二の焼成工程が、400−600℃の範囲の最高温度での仮焼成工程を含む、請求項12から15のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 水蒸気を1−20体積%の範囲で含む空気中で焼成が実施される、請求項12から16のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 耐火性金属酸化物の担体物質が粉末であり、結果として生じる触媒粉末がウォッシュコートとして金属製又はセラミック製の触媒担体上に塗布される、請求項12から17のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 複数の実質的に平行な反応チャネルを含む炭化水素の高温燃焼用の反応装置であって、少なくとも一つのチャネルが、耐火性金属酸化物の担体物質上に合計1−10重量%の一又は複数の貴金属を含み、合計1−20重量%の希土類、及び元素の周期律表で第IA、IIA、IIIA族から選択される一又は複数の安定化金属をさらに含み、少なくとも貴金属の一部が安定化金属の一又は複数との混合金属酸化物として存在する、炭化水素の高温燃焼用の担持貴金属触媒を備えている、反応装置。
- 触媒が除去可能な構造で担持されている、請求項19に記載の反応装置。
- 除去可能な構造が箔である、請求項19に記載の反応装置。
- 各チャネルが一又は複数の壁で区切られ、触媒が壁の表面に備えられている、請求項19に記載の反応装置。
- 触媒が、粉末、ペレット又は粒子の形状である、請求項19に記載の反応装置。
- 貴金属触媒を備えていない少なくとも一つのチャネルが、吸熱反応用の触媒を備えている、請求項19に記載の反応装置。
