前記接合工具の摩擦面を、前記第一部品の第一表面層及び前記第二部品の第二表面層のうちの少なくとも一方に圧接し、前記接合工具を回転させながら移動することにより、前記接合工具の摩擦面は、前記第一部品の第一表面層及び前記第二部品の第二表面層のうちの少なくとも一方を摩擦攪拌して熱量を生じさせ、前記熱量は前記第一部品の第一接合部及び前記第二部品の第二接合部に伝達されて前記第一接合部及び前記第二接合部を塑性状態に加熱して、前記第一部品及び前記第二部品を接合するステップと、
を備えることを特徴とする摩擦攪拌接合方法。 - 前記第一部品は、前記第一表面層と前記第一接合部とを連結する第一斜面をさらに備え、前記接合工具で前記第一部品の第一表面層及び前記第二部品の第二表面層のうちの少なくとも一方を摩擦攪拌する時、摩擦攪拌による前記第一表面層及び前記第二表面層の材料が前記第一斜面に充填されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の摩擦攪拌接合方法。
- 前記第二部品は、前記第二表面層と前記第二接合部とを連結する第二斜面をさらに備え、前記接合工具で前記第一部品の第一表面層及び前記第二部品の第二表面層のうちの少なくとも一方を摩擦攪拌する時、摩擦攪拌による前記第一表面層及び前記第二表面層の材料が、前記第一斜面と前記第二斜面とが構成する凹部に充填されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の摩擦攪拌接合方法。
- 前記第一表面層と前記第二表面層との成す角度が0度より大きく180度より小さくなるように、前記第一部品の第一接合部と前記第二部品の第二接合部とを対接させて、前記接合工具の摩擦面を前記第一部品の第一表面層に圧接することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の摩擦攪拌接合方法。
- 前記第一部品の第一接合部は、前記第一表面層に傾斜する斜面であり、前記第二部品の第二接合部は、前記第二表面層に傾斜する斜面であることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の摩擦攪拌接合方法。
- 前記第一接合部の前記第一表面層から離れている一端に第一装着溝が設置され、前記第一装着溝に、熔点が前記第一部品より低い溶接部材を装着することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の摩擦攪拌接合方法。
- 前記第二接合部の前記第二表面層から離れている一端に第二装着溝が設置され、前記第一装着溝と前記第二装着溝は装着部を構成し、前記溶接部材は前記装着部内に装着されることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の摩擦攪拌接合方法。
- 前記第一部品は、前記第一表面層と前記第一接合部とを連結する側面をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の摩擦攪拌接合方法。
- 前記接合工具の摩擦面には、前記接合工具の内部へ凹入された複数の凹部が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の摩擦攪拌接合方法。
