Abstract
【解決手段】複数の画素を含む複数の有機電界発光表示装置のパネルと、パネルの外郭領域に第1方向に形成されて外部から供給される検査用電源又は信号をパネルに伝達する複数のシート配線を含む第1配線グループと、パネルの外郭領域に第2方向に形成されて外部から供給される検査用電源又は信号をパネルに伝達する複数の他のシート配線を含む第2配線グループと、外部から供給されるシート検査信号からパネルの画素に備えられた駆動トランジスタの閾値電圧に相応する電圧を差し引いてパネルに供給する補償部と、を備え、第1及び第2配線グループに含まれたシート配線のうち、シート検査信号を伝達するシート配線は各パネルに連結する連結配線に接続される。

Claims (12)
- マトリクス状に配列される複数の画素を含む複数の有機電界発光表示装置のパネルと、
前記パネルの外郭領域に第1方向に形成されて外部から供給される検査用電源又は信号を前記パネルに伝達する複数のシート配線を含む第1配線グループと、
前記パネルの外郭領域に第2方向に形成されて外部から供給される検査用電源又は信号を前記パネルに伝達する複数の他のシート配線を含む第2配線グループと、
外部から供給されるシート検査信号から前記パネルの画素に備えられた駆動トランジスタの閾値電圧に相応する電圧を差し引いて前記パネルに供給する補償部と、
を備え、
前記第1及び第2配線グループに含まれたシート配線のうち、前記シート検査信号を伝達するシート配線は各前記パネルに連結する連結配線に接続されることを特徴とする、有機電界発光表示装置のマザー基板。 - 前記補償部は、
前記シート検査信号を伝達するシート配線と該シート検査信号の伝達を受ける前記パネルのパッドとの間に接続される第1トランジスタと、
前記第1トランジスタのゲート電極とドレイン電極との間に接続され、第1スイッチング信号により前記シート検査信号が伝達される期間に前記第1トランジスタをダイオード連結する第2トランジスタと、
前記第1トランジスタのゲート電極とゲートハイレベル電圧源との間に接続されるキャパシタと、
を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置のマザー基板。 - 前記補償部は、前記第1トランジスタのドレイン電極とリセット電圧源との間に接続され、第2スイッチング信号により前記シート検査信号が伝達される期間の前であるリセット期間に前記第1トランジスタのドレイン電極の電圧を初期化する第3トランジスタを更に含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の有機電界発光表示装置のマザー基板。
- 前記補償部は、自身を経由して前記シート検査信号の伝達を受けるパネルのスクライビングラインの外部に位置することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置のマザー基板。
- 各前記パネルは、
外部から供給される検査用電源及び信号を前記パネルの内部に伝達するための複数のパッドを備えるパッド部と、
データ線及び走査線の交差部に位置する複数の画素を備える画素部と、
前記走査線に走査信号を供給するための走査駆動部と、
前記データ線の一側端と前記パッド部との間に接続されて前記パッド部を介して供給されるアレイ検査信号又はリセット電圧を前記データ線に供給するための複数の第1検査トランジスタを備える第1検査部と、
前記第1検査部と前記データ線との間に接続されて前記第1検査トランジスタのそれぞれから供給されるアレイ検査信号又はリセット電圧を複数のデータ線に分配して出力するデータ分配部と、
前記データ線の他側端と前記補償部との間に接続されて前記補償部から供給される前記シート検査信号を前記データ線に伝達するための複数の第2検査トランジスタを備える第2検査部と
を備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置のマザー基板。 - 前記第1検査部及び前記データ分配部は、シート検査期間中、前記第2検査部を介して前記シート検査信号が伝達される期間の前であるリセット期間にターンオンされて、前記パッド部から伝達されるリセット電圧を前記データ線に供給することを特徴とする請求項5に記載の有機電界発光表示装置のマザー基板。
- 各前記パネルは、赤色光を放出する赤色画素、緑色光を放出する緑色画素及び青色光を放出する青色画素を含み、
前記シート検査信号を伝達するシート配線は、前記赤色画素、緑色画素及び青色画素にそれぞれ赤色シート検査信号、緑色シート検査信号及び青色シート検査信号を伝達する少なくとも3つの配線で構成され、
前記補償部は、各前記少なくとも3つの配線にそれぞれ接続される補償回路を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置のマザー基板。 - 前記シート検査信号は、点灯検査信号又はエージング信号に設定されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置のマザー基板。
- 前記パネルは映像を表示するための複数の画素を備え、各前記画素は、
第1画素電源と第2画素電源との間に接続される有機電界発光ダイオードと、
前記第1画素電源と前記有機電界発光ダイオードとの間に接続される駆動トランジスタと、
前記駆動トランジスタのゲート電極とソース電極との間に接続されるストレージキャパシタと、
前記駆動トランジスタのゲート電極とデータ線との間に接続され、ゲート電極が走査線に接続されるスイッチングトランジスタと、
を含んで構成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置のマザー基板。 - 走査線及びデータ線の交差部に位置する複数の画素を含む複数のパネルと、前記複数のパネルの外郭に位置して前記複数のパネルに検査用電源又は信号を供給する複数のシート配線を備える有機電界発光表示装置のマザー基板をシート単位で検査する有機電界発光表示装置のシート検査方法であって、
前記シート配線のうち、一部のシート配線を用いて前記複数のパネルのデータ線にシート検査信号を供給し、前記シート検査信号から前記画素に備えられた駆動トランジスタの閾値電圧に相応する電圧を差し引いて前記パネルに供給することを特徴とする有機電界発光表示装置のシート検査方法。 - 前記シート検査信号を前記パネルに伝達するシート配線にダイオード連結されたトランジスタを経由して前記シート検査信号を前記パネルに供給することを特徴とする請求項10に記載の有機電界発光表示装置のシート検査方法。
- 前記シート検査信号の供給に先立って、前記シート配線のうち他のシート配線を用いて前記複数のパネルのデータ線にリセット電圧を供給することを特徴とする請求項10に記載の有機電界発光表示装置のシート検査方法。
