Abstract
【解決手段】検出手段60がタイヤ構成部材Gの切断位置近傍にジョイント部を検出したときには、ジョイント部を外してタイヤ構成部材Gを所定長さよりも短い長さに切断する。タイヤ構成部材Gの巻き付け先端部と後端部を先端保持貼付手段40と後端保持貼付手段50により保持し、両保持貼付手段40、50を離間させてタイヤ構成部材Gを所定長さに伸長させ、両保持貼付手段40、50を被成形体H側へ移動させる。タイヤ構成部材Gの先端部を被成形体Hに貼り付け、支持体2を回転させてタイヤ構成部材Gを被成形体Hに巻き付け、巻き付けに合わせて後端保持貼付手段50を被成形体H側に移動させ、タイヤ構成部材Gの後端部を先端部に接合する。

Description
タイヤ構成部材Gは、図6Aに示すように、被成形体への巻き付け前の切断時に前工程でのジョイント部Jで切断されると、切断端部に部材が2重になる部分が生じる。このタイヤ構成部材Gを被成形体に巻き付けたときには、図6Bに示すように、両端部を重ねて接合した部分で、一端部の1つの部材と他端部の2つの部材が重なり合い、3重の重なり(図のZ範囲)が生じて部分的に厚くなる。
また、本発明は、長手方向に沿って1以上のジョイント部を有するタイヤ構成部材を被成形体への巻き付け長さに切断する工程を有し、切断したタイヤ構成部材を回転する被成形体に巻き付けて未加硫タイヤを成形するタイヤ製造方法であって、タイヤ構成部材のジョイント部を検出する工程と、タイヤ構成部材の切断位置近傍にジョイント部が検出されたとき、ジョイント部を外してタイヤ構成部材を巻き付け長さよりも短い長さに切断する工程と、短い長さに切断されたタイヤ構成部材を巻き付け長さに伸長させる工程と、タイヤ構成部材の巻き付け先端部を保持して被成形体に貼り付ける工程と、タイヤ構成部材の先端部が貼り付けられた被成形体を回転させて、タイヤ構成部材を被成形体に巻き付ける工程と、タイヤ構成部材の巻き付け後端部を保持し、タイヤ構成部材の被成形体への巻き付けに合わせて被成形体に向かって移動させる工程と、被成形体まで移動させたタイヤ構成部材の後端部を被成形体に貼り付ける工程と、を有することを特徴とする。
本実施形態のタイヤ製造装置は、回転する被成形体にタイヤ構成部材を供給して巻き付け、所定形状及び構造の未加硫タイヤを成形(製造)する成形装置である。その際、本実施形態では、長手方向に沿って1以上(ここでは複数)のジョイント部を有するタイヤ構成部材を被成形体に供給し、タイヤ構成部材を被成形体に自動で巻き付けて各種の未加硫タイヤを成形する。
タイヤ成形時には、図示のように、まず、支持体2の外周に、インナーライナ90、その両縁部に配置される一対のキャンバスチェーファ91、カーカスプライ92を順に巻き付ける。続いて、カーカスプライ92の両縁部側の所定位置に、有機インサートからなる一対の補強部材93を巻き付け、その両側に一対のビード94を圧着して円筒状のカーカスバンドを成形する。その後、支持体2から取り外したカーカスバンドを他の成形ドラムでシェーピングし、その外面に、ベルト、スパイラルレイヤ、ベーストレッド、キャップトレッド、サイドゴム、ゴムチェーファ等のタイヤ構成部材を積層する等して未加硫タイヤを成形する。この成形時に、本実施形態では、所定のタイヤ構成部材G(ここでは補強部材93)を、以下説明するタイヤ製造装置により被成形体に巻き付ける。
タイヤ製造装置1は、図示のように、支持体2と、支持体2にタイヤ構成部材Gを供給する供給手段10と、タイヤ構成部材Gを切断する切断手段20と、それらの上方に配置された、タイヤ構成部材Gの巻付装置30と、を備えている。
このタイヤ製造装置1では、まず、各保持貼付手段40、50を移動(図3A参照)させて、先端保持貼付手段40を、アンビル21上の切断されたタイヤ構成部材Gの先端部上方に位置させ、その吸着パッド43を下降させてタイヤ構成部材Gの先端部を吸着して保持する。続いて、検出手段60により、タイヤ構成部材Gのジョイント部Jを検出しつつ、先端保持貼付手段40を支持体2に向かって移動させて、タイヤ構成部材Gを第2の搬送コンベヤ14上に沿って所定長さ引き出す(図3B参照)。これにより、タイヤ構成部材Gの先端から切断手段20による切断位置までの長さが、所定の巻き付け長さになったときに、先端保持貼付手段40を停止させる。
タイヤ製造装置1は、検出手段60によるジョイント部Jの検出結果とタイヤ構成部材Gの移動距離とに基づき、制御装置により、タイヤ構成部材Gの切断時におけるジョイント部Jの位置を算出する。また、制御装置は、位置の算出結果から、タイヤ構成部材Gの移動に伴い、ジョイント部Jが切断手段20により切断される位置で停止して、タイヤ構成部材Gがジョイント部Jで切断される否かを判定する。これにより、ジョイント部Jで切断されないと判定されたとき、タイヤ製造装置1は、タイヤ構成部材Gを予め設定された通常の巻き付け長さ(長手方向に沿う長さ)Lに切断(図4の矢印C1)する。その際、このタイヤ製造装置1では、切断手段20により、タイヤ構成部材Gをジョイント部Jと同じ方向に傾斜させて、ジョイント部Jと切断端とが平行になるように切断する。
続いて、タイヤ製造装置1は、タイヤ構成部材Gの先端部が貼り付けられた支持体2及び被成形体H(図5A参照)を所定速度で軸線周りに回転させ、タイヤ構成部材Gを移動させつつ被成形体Hの巻付位置に先端部から順に巻き付ける。その際、後端保持貼付手段50を、タイヤ構成部材Gの巻き付け後端部を保持した状態で、上記した後端移動手段により、タイヤ構成部材Gの被成形体Hへの巻き付けに合わせて被成形体Hに向かって移動させる。これにより、保持したタイヤ構成部材Gの後端部を、巻き付けに同期して、支持体2の回転速度(巻付速度)に応じた所定速度で被成形体H側に移動させ、設定された後端部の所定の貼付位置まで移動させる。
本発明の効果を確認するため、以上説明したタイヤ製造装置1により、実際にタイヤ構成部材Gを被成形体Hに巻き付けて、その巻付精度等を評価した。試験では、部材幅が45mmの一対のタイヤ構成部材G(補強部材93)を、それぞれ長さ1430mmに切断した後、支持体2(成形ドラム)の左右両側で同時に巻き付け、それらの両端部をジョイント量が7mmになるように重ね合わせて接合した(以下、実施例という)。その際、タイヤ構成部材Gの切断位置近傍にジョイント部Jが検出されたときには、ジョイント部Jを外して1405mmに切断した後、先端保持貼付手段40と後端保持貼付手段50により両端部を保持し、それらを離間させて引っ張ることで、1430mmに伸長させてから被成形体Hに巻き付けた。
Claims (8)
- 長手方向に沿って1以上のジョイント部を有するタイヤ構成部材を供給する供給手段と、被成形体の回転手段とを備え、回転する被成形体にタイヤ構成部材を巻き付けて未加硫タイヤを成形するタイヤ製造装置であって、
タイヤ構成部材のジョイント部を検出する検出手段と、
タイヤ構成部材を被成形体への巻き付け長さに切断するとともに、切断位置近傍にジョイント部が検出されたとき、ジョイント部を外してタイヤ構成部材を巻き付け長さよりも短い長さに切断する切断手段と、
短い長さに切断されたタイヤ構成部材を巻き付け長さに伸長させる伸長手段と、
タイヤ構成部材の巻き付け先端部及び後端部をそれぞれ保持して被成形体に貼り付ける先端保持貼付手段及び後端保持貼付手段と、
被成形体に先端部が貼り付けられたタイヤ構成部材の被成形体への巻き付けに合わせて、タイヤ構成部材の後端部を保持する後端保持貼付手段を被成形体に向かって後端部の貼付位置まで移動させる移動手段と、
を備えたことを特徴とするタイヤ製造装置。 - 請求項1に記載されたタイヤ製造装置において、
伸長手段が、前記短い長さに切断されたタイヤ構成部材を被成形体に巻き付けるときに、後端保持貼付手段の移動速度に対して被成形体の回転周速度を相対的に速くして、タイヤ構成部材を巻き付け長さに伸長させる手段であることを特徴とするタイヤ製造装置。 - 請求項1に記載されたタイヤ製造装置において、
伸長手段が、被成形体への巻き付け前に、前記短い長さに切断されたタイヤ構成部材の各端部を保持する先端保持貼付手段と後端保持貼付手段を離間させてタイヤ構成部材を引き伸ばし、タイヤ構成部材を巻き付け長さに伸長させる手段であることを特徴とするタイヤ製造装置。 - 請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載されたタイヤ製造装置において、
タイヤ構成部材が、幅方向に対して傾斜するジョイント部を有し、
切断手段が、タイヤ構成部材をジョイント部と同じ方向に傾斜して切断することを特徴とするタイヤ製造装置。 - 長手方向に沿って1以上のジョイント部を有するタイヤ構成部材を被成形体への巻き付け長さに切断する工程を有し、切断したタイヤ構成部材を回転する被成形体に巻き付けて未加硫タイヤを成形するタイヤ製造方法であって、
タイヤ構成部材のジョイント部を検出する工程と、
タイヤ構成部材の切断位置近傍にジョイント部が検出されたとき、ジョイント部を外してタイヤ構成部材を巻き付け長さよりも短い長さに切断する工程と、
短い長さに切断されたタイヤ構成部材を巻き付け長さに伸長させる工程と、
タイヤ構成部材の巻き付け先端部を保持して被成形体に貼り付ける工程と、
タイヤ構成部材の先端部が貼り付けられた被成形体を回転させて、タイヤ構成部材を被成形体に巻き付ける工程と、
タイヤ構成部材の巻き付け後端部を保持し、タイヤ構成部材の被成形体への巻き付けに合わせて被成形体に向かって移動させる工程と、
被成形体まで移動させたタイヤ構成部材の後端部を被成形体に貼り付ける工程と、
を有することを特徴とするタイヤ製造方法。 - 請求項5に記載されたタイヤ製造方法において、
前記伸長させる工程が、前記短い長さに切断されたタイヤ構成部材を被成形体に巻き付けるときに、タイヤ構成部材の保持した後端部の移動速度に対して被成形体の回転周速度を相対的に速くして、タイヤ構成部材を巻き付け長さに伸長させる工程を有することを特徴とするタイヤ製造方法。 - 請求項5に記載されたタイヤ製造方法において、
前記伸長させる工程が、被成形体への巻き付け前に、前記短い長さに切断されたタイヤ構成部材の各端部を保持して端部同士を離間させてタイヤ構成部材を引き伸ばし、タイヤ構成部材を巻き付け長さに伸長させる工程を有することを特徴とするタイヤ製造方法。 - 請求項5ないし7のいずれかに記載されたタイヤ製造方法において、
タイヤ構成部材が、幅方向に対して傾斜するジョイント部を有し、
各切断する工程が、タイヤ構成部材をジョイント部と同じ方向に傾斜して切断することを特徴とするタイヤ製造方法。
