Claims (26)
- 近位端及び遠位端、並びに少なくともその一部に沿って複数の長手方向に隔てられた撮像窓を有する細長い本体を含む撮像装置において、
前記細長い本体は少なくとも1つの光ファイバを含み、
撮像窓は、前記光ファイバにおける第1の光信号に応答して前記本体の前記遠位端付近の領域を撮像するために音響エネルギーを生成するように構成された、前記本体の前記遠位端付近の光学−音響トランスデューサと、そして同じ前記光ファイバにおいて前記本体の前記遠位端付近の前記領域からの音響エネルギーを感知し、応答第2光信号を提供するように構成された前記本体の前記遠位端付近の音響−光学トランスデューサとを含む
ことを特徴とする撮像装置。 - 前記第2の光信号を使用して、前記本体の前記遠位端付近の前記領域の三次元画像を提供するように構成されたディスプレイを備えたユーザ・インターフェースをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記光学−音響トランスデューサが、光音響応答を生成するために前記光ファイバのコアの実質的に外側に位置して前記光ファイバの前記コアからの光を受信することができる光学音響材料を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記光学音響材料は、前記本体の前記遠位端付近の前記領域から感知された音響エネルギーが移動する方向に対し実質的に垂直の方向に、前記本体の前記遠位端付近の前記領域から感知された音響エネルギーの音波長の1/4の奇数倍に実質的に等しい厚さを有することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記コアに沿って進む光を前記コアから外に、かつ前記光学音響材料へ向ける手段を含むことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記光ファイバのコアに位置するブレーズド・ブラッグ回折格子を含み、前記ブレーズド・ブラッグ回折格子が、前記コアに沿って軸方向に進む光を前記コアから外に、かつ前記光学音響材料へ向け直すことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記細長い本体は、カテーテルの内腔への導入及び内腔内でのカテーテルの誘導の少なくとも一方に対応してサイズが設定され、成形されたガイドワイヤを提供することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記細長い本体は、実質的に円筒形であり、前記細長い本体は、円筒円周の周りに配置された複数の光ファイバを含むことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の装置。
- 前記音響−光学トランスデューサは、少なくとも1つのブラッグ回折格子を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記音響−光学トランスデューサは、部分的反射性の第1のブラッグ回折格子と、実質的に全反射性の第2のブラッグ回折格子と、前記第1のブラッグ回折格子と第2のブラッグ回折格子との間に配置されたブレーズドされた第3のブラッグ回折格子とを含む干渉計を含むことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の装置。
- 前記第1及び第2の光信号の少なくとも1つを伝送するために、前記細長い本体の前記近位端又はその付近に結合されるようにサイズ設定及び成形された光結合器をさらに含み、前記光結合器は、前記第1及び第2の光信号の少なくとも1つを伝送するための少なくとも1つのブレーズド・ブラッグ回折格子を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記光学−音響トランスデューサと前記音響−光学トランスデューサは、音響エネルギーを生成し、音マッチング層を形成するための共通の光学音響材料を共用することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記細長い本体の一部に光結合されるように構成された光電子モジュールと、
前記光電子モジュールに結合された画像処理モジュールと、
前記光電子モジュールに結合され、斑を認識するように構成された組織特徴付けモジュールと、そして
前記組織特徴付けモジュールに結合され、前記ユーザ・インターフェースに結合されて、前記斑を視覚的に特異的に表示する画像強調モジュールと
をさらに含み、
前記ユーザ・インターフェースが、前記光電子モジュール及び前記画像処理モジュールの少なくとも1つに結合される、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。 - 同じ光ファイバが、少なくとも2つの撮像窓を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記同じ光ファイバに含まれる前記少なくとも2つの撮像窓は、個別にアドレス指定可能であるように構成されることを特徴とする請求項15に記載の装置。
- 前記同じ光ファイバに含まれる前記少なくとも2つの撮像窓は、異なる撮像窓を選択的に個別にアドレス指定するために、光ファイバにおける光の異なる波長を使用して、個別にアドレス指定されるように構成されることを特徴とする請求項15に記載の装置。
- 特定の撮像窓に逐次アクセスするように構成された光電子モジュールを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記光電子モジュールは、特定の光ファイバに逐次アクセスするように構成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記光電子モジュールは、リアルタイムの体積データ取得を提供するように、位相配列的に、特定の撮像窓及び特定の光ファイバに逐次アクセスするように構成され、生じた三次元画像を表すように構成されたディスプレイを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 血管内腔内で対象撮像領域に操作できるように、十分な柔軟性及び回転剛性等を提供する、柔軟性かつ回転剛性遠位端部を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 近位部及び遠位部と、実質的に円筒形の円周とを含む細長いの実質的に円筒形のガイドワイヤコアと、
前記ガイドワイヤコアの前記円筒円周に沿って配置され、それぞれが光学−音響トランスデューサ及び音響−光学トランスデューサの少なくとも1つを含む複数の細長い光ファイバとを含む撮像ガイドワイヤ。 - 前記ガイドワイヤは、血管に挿入されるようにサイズ設定及び成形されている請求項21に記載のガイドワイヤ。
- 前記ガイドワイヤは、前記ガイドワイヤを血管に挿入するときにカテーテルのガイドワイヤによる挿入を可能にするようにサイズ設定及び成形されている請求項22に記載のガイドワイヤ。
- 前記ガイドワイヤコアは、前記ガイドワイヤの遠位部付近に減少した円筒径を含む請求項21に記載のガイドワイヤ。
- 光学−音響トランスデューサ及び音響−光学トランスデューサの前記少なくとも1つは、ブレーズド・ブラッグ回折格子を含む請求項21に記載のガイドワイヤ。
- 前記音響−光学トランスデューサは、干渉的に協働するように配置された少なくとも2つのブレーズド・ブラッグ回折格子を含む請求項25に記載のガイドワイヤ。
