Abstract
【解決手段】HVACシステムは、エンジンの作動状態に関わりなく作動され得る。すなわち、HVACシステムは、エンジンが作動している間およびエンジンがノーアイドリング(オフ)状態にある間も、長距離輸送車両の室内を空調すべく作動し得る。概ね、HVACシステムは、車両内に既存の1つ以上の典型的な空調構成部材を効率的に共有する。1つの事例では、HVACシステムは、ベルト駆動式コンプレッサが休止しているとき、電動コンプレッサを作動する。別の場合では、HVACシステムは、ベルト駆動式のコンプレッサおよび凝縮器が休止しているとき、電動コンプレッサおよびノーアイドリング凝縮器の両方を作動する。更に別の実施の形態では、HVACシステムは、蒸発器を共有する。

Description
本件特許出願は、今では米国特許明細書第6,889,762号となっている2002年4月29日出願の米国特許出願10/134,875号の継続出願である、2005年3月24日付けで出願された同時係属中の米国特許出願11/088,441号の一部継続出願である。そのすべての教示内容および開示内容は、参照することにより全体として本文に組み込まれるものとする。
本発明は、概ね長距離輸送車両用およびオフロード車両用の空調システムに関し、より詳細には、可変速度のモータ駆動式コンプレッサおよび制御装置を利用する車両搭載式の暖房、換気および空調(HVAC)システムに関する。

Claims (26)
- エンジンを有する車両用の空調システムであって、
前記車両の前記エンジンが作動しているときに作動可能であるベルト駆動式コンプレッサを含む1次空調ループと;
前記1次空調ループに熱的に接続された電動コンプレッサであって、前記車両の前記エンジンが作動していないときに作動可能である電動コンプレッサとを備える;
空調システム。 - 前記ベルト駆動式コンプレッサは前記電動コンプレッサが作動しているときに作動しないようにされ、前記電動コンプレッサは前記ベルト駆動式コンプレッサが作動しているときに作動しないようにされた、請求項1に記載の空調システム。
- 前記ベルト駆動式コンプレッサおよび前記電動コンプレッサは、互いに並列に熱的に接続された、請求項1に記載の空調システム。
- 前記1次空調ループは凝縮器を含み、前記空調システムは、前記エンジンが作動していないときに前記凝縮器に対して空気を流動させる電動空気流動装置を更に備える、請求項1に記載の空調システム。
- 前記空調システムは少なくとも1つの弁を更に備え、前記弁は、前記車両の前記エンジンが作動しているときには前記ベルト駆動式コンプレッサに、前記車両の前記エンジンが作動していないときには前記電動コンプレッサに冷媒を送る、請求項1に記載の空調システム。
- 前記電動コンプレッサは制御装置に動作可能に接続され、前記制御装置が前記電動コンプレッサの速度を制御する、請求項1に記載の空調システム。
- 前記1次空調ループは、前記車両の運転室内部に熱的に連通する運転室蒸発器と、前記車両の仮眠室内部に熱的に連通する仮眠室蒸発器とを含む、請求項1に記載の空調システム。
- 前記1次空調ループは、熱交換器によって高圧冷却液ループと低圧冷却液ループとに分割される、請求項1に記載の空調システム。
- 前記低圧冷却液ループは、ポンプと少なくとも1つの蒸発器とを含み、前記少なくとも1つの蒸発器が前記車両の内部に熱的に連通する、請求項8に記載の空調システム。
- 前記低圧冷却液ループは冷却液ヒータを含む、請求項9に記載の空調システム。
- 前記電動コンプレッサおよび前記1次空調ループに熱的に接続されたノーアイドリング凝縮器を更に備え、前記ノーアイドリング凝縮器は、前記車両の前記エンジンが作動していないときに作動可能である、請求項1に記載の空調システム。
- 前記1次空調ループからの凝縮器は前記ノーアイドリング凝縮器が作動しているときに作動しないようにされ、前記ノーアイドリング凝縮器は前記1次空調ループからの前記凝縮器が作動しているときに作動しないようにされた、請求項11に記載の空調システム。
- 前記電動コンプレッサおよび前記ノーアイドリング凝縮器は、互いに直列に熱的に接続され、互いに直列に熱的に接続された前記ベルト駆動式コンプレッサおよび前記凝縮器の組合せに対しては並列に熱的に接続された、請求項11に記載の空調システム。
- 電動空気流動装置が、前記ノーアイドリング凝縮器に近接して配設され、前記車両の前記エンジンが作動していないとき前記ノーアイドリング凝縮器に対して空気を流動させる、請求項11に記載の空調システム。
- 前記ノーアイドリング凝縮器および前記電動コンプレッサは制御装置に作動可能に接続され、前記制御装置が前記電動コンプレッサの出力を制御する、請求項11に記載の前記空調システム。
- 前記1次空調ループは熱交換器によって高圧冷却液ループと低圧冷却液ループとに分割され、前記低圧冷却液ループは、前記車両の内部の部分に熱的に連通する蒸発器と、冷却液ポンプと、冷却液ヒータとを含む、請求項11に記載の空調システム。
- 長距離輸送車両用またはオフロード車両用の空調システムであって、
前記車両のエンジンが作動しているときに作動可能である1次空調ループであって、蒸発器を含む1次空調ループと;
前記車両の前記エンジンが作動していないときに作動可能である2次空調ループであって、前記蒸発器を前記1次空調ループと共有する2次空調ループとを備える;
空調システム。 - 前記蒸発器は二重循環流路マルチ式冷媒蒸発器である、請求項17に記載の空調システム。
- 前記2次空調ループおよび前記蒸発器の一部がハウジング内に密閉された、請求項17に記載の空調システム。
- 前記蒸発器は前記車両の仮眠室の内部に熱的に連通する、請求項17に記載の空調システム。
- 前記2次空調ループは、周波数駆動装置によって駆動される交流(AC)コンプレッサを含む、請求項17に記載の空調システム。
- 前記2次空調ループ内の電動コンプレッサが制御装置に作動可能に接続され、前記制御装置が前記電動コンプレッサの前記速度を制御する、請求項17に記載の空調システム。
- 前記車両のエンジンが作動しているときに作動可能である1次空調ループと、前記車両のエンジンが作動していないときに作動可能である2次空調ループとを有する車両の冷房方法であって:
前記1次空調システムと前記2次空調システムとの間で少なくとも1つの空調構成部材を共有するステップを備える;
車両の冷房方法。 - 前記少なくとも1つの空調構成部材は、二重循環流路マルチ式冷媒蒸発器である、請求項23に記載の車両の冷房方法。
- 前記少なくとも1つの空調構成部材が蒸発器および凝縮器の両者である、請求項23に記載の車両の冷房方法。
- 前記1次空調ループおよび前記2次空調ループの一方に対してのみ冷媒を選択的に膨張供給するステップを更に備える、請求項23に記載の車両の冷房方法。
