Abstract
【解決手段】 一方の面に第1の凹部1aを有し、且つ第1の凹部1aの反対向面に第2の凹部1bを有する封止基板1と、第1の凹部1aの周縁部にシール剤4を介在させて気密封止された第1の透光性ガラス基板3と、第1の透光性ガラス基板3の内面に形成された第1の有機EL発光素子ELD1と、第1の凹部1aの底面に配設された第1の乾燥剤2aと、第2の凹部1bの周縁部にシール剤4を介在させて気密封止された第2の透光性ガラス基板5と、第2の透光性ガラス基板5の内面に形成された第2の有機EL発光素子ELD2と、第2の凹部1bの底面に配設された第2の乾燥剤2bとから構成され、封止基板1の第1の凹1a部及び第2の凹部1b内に夫々第1の有機EL発光素子ELD1及び第2の有機EL発光素子ELD2が収容されるので、封止基板1が共通化される。

Description
上には、図1に示した第1の有機EL発光素子ELD1がその陰極KD側を乾燥剤2aと対向させて形成され、この有機EL発光素子ELD1が形成された透光性ガラス基板3は、その陰極KDを乾燥剤2aに対向させ、封止ガラス基板1の周縁部にシール剤(紫外線硬化型樹脂材からなる接着剤)4を塗布し、紫外線を照射して硬化させ、両基板を一体的に固定し、気密封止されて副表示パネルSPNが構成される。なお、この透光性ガラス基板3の板厚は、例えば700μm程度である。
上には、図1に示した第1の有機EL発光素子ELD2がその陰極KD側を乾燥剤2bと対向させて形成され、この有機EL発光素子ELD2が形成された透光性ガラス基板5は、その陰極KD側を乾燥剤2bに対向させ、封止ガラス基板1の周縁部にシール剤(紫外線硬化型樹脂材からなる接着剤)4を塗布し、紫外線を照射して硬化させ、両基板を一体的に固定し、気密封止されて主表示パネルMPNが構成される。なお、この透光性ガラス基板5の板厚は、例えば700μm程度である。また、上記シール剤4として紫外線硬化型樹脂材を用いたが、他のシール剤を用いても良い。
Claims (5)
- 一方の面に第1の凹部を有し、且つ前記第1の凹部の反対向面に第2の凹部を有する封止基板と、
前記第1の凹部の周縁部にシール剤を介在させて気密封止された第1の透光性基板と、
前記第1の透光性基板の内面に形成された第1の有機EL発光素子と、
前記第1の凹部の底面に配設された第1の吸着層と、
前記第2の凹部の周縁部にシール剤を介在させて気密封止された第2の透光性基板と、
前記第2の透光性基板の内面に形成された第2の有機EL発光素子と、
前記第2の凹部の底面に配設された第2の吸着層と、
を備えたこと特徴とする有機EL表示装置。 - 一方の面に第1の凹部を有し、前記第1の凹部の反対向面に第2の凹部を有し、且つ前記第1の凹部と第2の凹部とを連通する少なくとも1個の開口を有する封止基板と、
前記第1の凹部の周縁部にシール剤を介在させて気密封止された第1の透光性基板と、
前記第1の透光性基板の内面に形成された第1の有機EL発光素子と、
前記第2の凹部の周縁部にシール剤を介在させて気密封止された第2の透光性基板と、
前記第2の透光性基板の内面に形成された第2の有機EL発光素子と、
前記第1の凹部及び第2の凹部のいずれか一方の底面に配設された吸着層と、
を備えたことを特徴とする有機EL表示装置。 - 一方の面に第1の凹部を有し、且つ前記第1の凹部の反対向面に第2の凹部を有する封止基板と、
前記第1の凹部の周縁部にシール剤を介在させて気密封止された第1の透光性基板と、
前記第1の透光性基板の内面に形成された第1の有機EL発光素子と、
前記第1の透光性基板の内面に前記第1の有機EL発光素子を除く周面に配設された少なくとも1つの第1の吸着層と、
前記第1の透光性基板に所定間隔を有して対向配置され、且つ周縁部にシール剤を介在させて気密封止された第2の透光性基板と、
前記第2の透光性基板の内面に形成され、且つ前記第1の有機EL発光素子よりも発光面積が大きい第2の有機EL発光素子と、
前記第2の凹部の底面に配設された第2の吸着層と、
を備えたことを特徴とする有機EL表示装置。 - 第1の透光性基板と、
前記第1の透光性基板の内面に形成された第1の有機EL発光素子と、
前記第1の透光性基板の内面に前記第1の有機EL発光素子を除く周面に配設された少なくとも1つの吸着層と、
前記第1の透光性基板に所定間隔を有して対向配置され、且つ周縁部にシール剤を介在させて気密封止された第2の透光性基板と、
前記第2の透光性基板の内面に形成され、且つ前記第1の有機EL発光素子よりも発光面積が大きい第2の有機EL発光素子と、
を備えたことを特徴とする有機EL表示装置。 - 一方の面に第1の凹部を有する第1の封止基板と、
前記第1の凹部の周縁部にシール剤を介在させて気密封止された第1の透光性基板と、
前記第1の透光性基板の内面に形成された第1の有機EL発光素子と、
前記第1の凹部の底面に配設された第1の吸着層と、
一方の面に第2の凹部を有する第2の封止基板と、
前記第2の凹部の周縁部にシール剤を介在させて気密封止された第2の透光性基板と、
前記第2の透光性基板の内面に形成された第2の有機EL発光素子と、
前記第2の凹部の底面に配設された第2の吸着層と、
を備え、
前記第1の封止基板と前記第2の封止基板とが背面同士で対向配置されて構成されたことを特徴とする有機EL表示装置。
