Abstract

Assembly unit with a hob (1) and a device (36) for operating a hob (1) and for extracting cooking vapors downwards.

Description

The present invention relates to a hob with the features specified in claim 1.

A hob is known from the prior art which has elongated, rectangular slots on both sides and on the rear next to the hob, through which the cooking vapors produced in the area of the hob are sucked off downwards.
This hob known from the prior art with suction slots provided on both sides and on the back is particularly disadvantageous because there the worktop carrying the hob - at least immediately to the side of the hob - cannot be fully used for storage purposes or the like.
This cooktop, which belongs to the state of the art, with suction slits provided on both sides and on the rear, is also disadvantageous because the two side and rear suction flows - especially in the particularly important area of the center of the hob - cancel each other completely or at least partially, so that there Cooking vapors that arise are not exposed to any effective suction flow and can consequently spread and rise unhindered.
Another disadvantage of this prior art cooktop with suction slots provided on both sides and on the back is that there are significant manufacturing costs and material costs - in particular because of the design of the three suction devices and the associated exhaust duct system.
The maintenance costs are also particularly high with this known cooktop, especially since three (!) Grease filters have to be serviced there.
Since in this known hob with suction slits provided on both sides and on the back - when the cooking fume suction is activated - strong suction currents are released simultaneously via all suction slits, this is where the Energy consumption for a cooking fume extraction is particularly high, which is why the efficiency of this known hob is noticeably low.
Due to the three strong suction flows required there, the noise pollution from flow noises and fan motors of the suction system is also pronounced.
Another major disadvantage of the known hob with cooking vapors extraction slots provided on both sides and back is that there is a material and time-consuming assembly of the hob on the worktop supporting the hob - bridging the cooking vapors extraction slots on both sides and rear - by means of a separate installation frame is required.

The object of the present invention is therefore to provide a hob with a device for extracting cooking vapors in a direction lying vertically below the level of the hob, which does not occupy the surfaces on both sides and to the rear of the hob on the worktop supporting the hob, but for Can be used for storage purposes or the like, which reliably avoids the rising and spreading of cooking fumes in the central area of the hob as well as in its edge areas, which causes particularly low manufacturing, assembly, maintenance and operating costs, which does not require a separate installation frame for attachment to the surrounding worktop required, which is particularly efficient in relation to the electrical energy used for the extraction and whose noise development is very low during operation.

The present invention accordingly relates to a hob (1) with one or more hotplates (2) which - in a plan view - only in the area (25) has one or more recesses (4) around its geometric center of gravity (3) - but not in its edge regions. These recesses (4) are usually connected to one or more devices (5) for extracting cooking vapors, these devices (5) for extracting cooking vapors in the cooking vapors that have arisen over or above the hotplates (2) Pull down vertically below the hob (1) in the direction pointing downwards.

In general, the diameter (28) of the area (25), for the one or more recesses (4), around the geometric centroid (3) of the hob (1) in the range of 10% to 90% of the total width (29) of the hob (1), preferably in the range from 15% to 85%, in particular in the range from 20% to 80% of the total width (29) of the hob (1). The shape of the one or more recesses (4) - in a plan view - can preferably be round or oval or square or rectangular or polygonal or star-shaped. The area of the recess (4) of the hob (5) can, for example, be in the range from 50 cm 2 to 500 cm 2 , preferably in the range from 60 cm 2 to 400 cm 2 , in particular in the range from 70 cm 2 to 300 cm 2 , lie. Preferably, each recess (4) of the hob (1) can be reversibly closed and opened manually and / or by means of an electric or pneumatic drive over the entire surface or in sectors.

According to the Figures 3 , 5 , 6th and 7th a one-part or multi-part grease filter insert (6) can be inserted into each recess (4) of the hob (1). This grease filter insert (6) is usually surrounded by an exhaust air duct (9) at the side and / or below. The grease filter insert (6) is preferably tightly connected to the edge area of the recess (4) of the hob (1).
The grease filter insert (6) can, for example, have a cross-section in the shape of a letter U (see Figures 2 , 3 , 6th and 7th ) be trained. As an alternative to this, the grease filter insert (6) can be used to enlarge the filter surface and reduce the flow speed and thus improve the effect of the grease filter insert (6) - for example in the form of a letter U with a bag-shaped or cap-shaped widening (17) (see Figure 5 ) its lower region to the side and / or in the downstream direction. In general, the wall areas of the grease filter insert (6) can have suction openings (7) with grease filters (8) integrated therein or - at least in some areas - be designed in the manner of a gas-permeable grease filter (6).

Like the one in particular Figure 2 As can be seen, the bottom area of the grease filter insert (6) can be designed in the form of a collecting tray (10) - for collecting liquid (11) that has entered the recess (4) of the hob (1). Alternatively, as in the Figures 3 , 4th , 5 , 6th , and 7th shown - both the side walls of the grease filter insert (6) and its bottom be permeable to cooking vapors.
To prevent the penetration of liquid (11) through the central recess (4) of the hob (1) into downstream sections of the exhaust air duct (9) - immediately downstream behind the central recess (4) - on the underside (12) of the exhaust air duct (9) a liquid barrier (13) raised above the level of the underside (12) of the exhaust air duct (9) may be provided.
A particular advantage of the device according to the invention is that what is provided below the central recess (4) of the hob (1) is limited by the liquid barrier (13) downstream and by the walls (14) of the exhaust air duct (9) - The liquid collecting basin (15) can be drained and cleaned manually through the central recess (4) of the hob (1).

According to Figure 4 The grease filter insert (6) can be designed, for example, in the form of a grease filter plate (16) that covers the cross section of the exhaust air duct (9) and is inclined below the central recess (4) of the hob - or just downstream thereof.

According to Figure 6 The central recess (4) of the hob (1) can be closed over the entire surface, for example by means of a lid-shaped closure element (18) reversibly adjustable in the vertical direction for opening and closing purposes - for odor trap.
In this case, two or more flexible spring legs (19) with snap-in grooves (20) for snap-in of projections (21) of the grease filter insert (6), the exhaust air duct (9) or the central recess (4) be provided.

Alternatively, two or more rigid legs (19) with snap-in grooves (20) for engaging resilient projections (21) of the grease filter insert (6), the exhaust air duct (9) or on the underside of the closure element (18) the central recess (4) be provided.

As in Figure 7 shown, the central recess (4) of the hob (1) can be closed by means of a cross-sectionally Y- or V-shaped closing element (22) reversibly adjustable in the vertical direction for opening purposes and for closing purposes.
In this case, the undersides of this Y- or V-shaped closure element (22) can serve as flow-optimizing flow guide surfaces for the cooking vapors to be extracted. The Y- or V-shaped locking element (22) can preferably be vertically reversibly adjustable by means of an eccentric disk or a lever mechanism or a thread (23).

How out Figure 8 It can be seen that in the area (25) around the geometric center of gravity (3) of the hob (1) located recess (4) of the hob (1) - to control the direction (27) of the cooking fume extraction depending on the direction of the each active hotplate (2) generating cooking vapors and to save the fan energy to be applied for the device (5) for extracting cooking vapors - comprise one or more sector-like, reversibly closable and openable closure elements (26).

These closure elements (26) can be reversibly opened and closed, for example, manually and / or electrically.

As from the Figures 1 to 8 it can be seen, the edge of the central recess (4) of the hob (1) - as overflow protection - a circumferential protruding over the plane of the hob (1) and formed by the exhaust duct connection and / or by the grease filter insert suspension device Wear a wrap (24).

the Figures 9 , 10 and 11 show that the one or more central recesses (4) of the hob (1) can each have one or more lamellar closures (30) for flow optimization. This lamellar closure (30) is particularly advantageous for a horizontal - and possibly also for a vertical - alignment of the cooking vapor suction flow (27) in the direction of the respective active hotplate (s) (2).
As a rule, each lamella closure (30) comprises one or more lamellae (31), the longitudinal axes (32) of which are preferably aligned horizontally.
In particularly preferred embodiments of the hob (1) according to the invention - in particular for the vertical alignment of the cooking vapor suction flow (27) and thus for adaptation to the vertical height of the cooking utensils used - each lamella (31) around a horizontal pivot axis (33) at an angle α be reversibly pivotable back and forth, which is, for example, in a range from 0 ° to 180 °, preferably in a range from 0 ° to 110 °, in particular in a range from 0 ° to 90 °. In particular, for a horizontal alignment of the cooking vapor suction flow (27) in the direction of the respective active hotplate (s) (2), the lamella closure (30) can be reversibly rotatable, for example, about its vertical axis (34) at an angle β. This angle β can, for example, be in the range from 0 ° to 360 ° without limitation, such as in particular Figure 10 can be seen, the level of the lamellar shutter (30) can be just above the level of the hob (1). As an alternative to this, the plane of the lamella closure (30) can be approximately at the vertical height of the hob (1). According to Figure 11 However, the plane of the lamella closure (30) can also be provided below the hob (1). In particularly preferred embodiments of the hob (1) according to the invention, the lamella closure (30) can be removed from the central recess (4) of the hob (1) for cleaning purposes.

The present invention also relates to a hob (1) with a central recess (4), which is in the form of an assembly unit with a device (36) attached to its underside (35) for operating the hob (1) and for extracting cooking fumes is designed downward and can be quickly and easily inserted into a recess of the kitchen worktop (54) designed to match its dimensions.

Especially in the Figures 12 to 16 it is shown that the device (36) - following one after the other in the vertical direction - on the underside (35) of the hob (1) has a housing (44) for the heating or hob heating and control electronics, a fan housing (48) for two or more radial fans (38) and one or more cooking vapors suction chambers (39) - for horizontal, outwardly directed cooking vapors forwarding and for providing the cooking vapors flow for a vertically upward suction through the in the vertically higher fan housing (48) provided radial fan (38) - may include.

A particular advantage of this hob (1) designed according to the invention is that the distance (40) between the underside (35) of the hob (1) on the one hand and the underside of the bottom (42) of the cooking vapors suction chambers (39) on the other hand is in one area from only 110 mm to 260 mm,) preferably in a range from 140 mm to 230 mm, in particular in a range from 150 mm to 200 mm.

Like the one in particular Figures 14 , 15th and 16 As can be seen, in this hob (1) designed in the form of an assembly unit with a device (36), a tubular exhaust air line (50) oriented vertically downwards can be provided, for example, downstream of the central recess (4) of the hob (1) be.
As a rule, downstream of the exhaust air line (50), a hollow cylindrical grease filter (6) reversible - removable upwards for cleaning purposes through the central recess (4) of the hob (1) - can be provided.
In general, the upper edge area (51) of the hollow cylindrical grease filter (6) can lie tightly against the inner wall of the lower section (52) of the tubular exhaust air line (50). The lower edge area (53) of the hollow cylindrical grease filter (6) can protrude above the lower section (52) of the tubular exhaust air line (50) oriented vertically downwards.
In preferred embodiments of the hob (1) according to the invention, designed in the form of an assembly unit with a device (36), downstream of the hollow cylindrical grease filter (6) and laterally and horizontally on the outside of this two or more deep cooking vapor suction chambers (39) to the horizontal, outward discharge of cooking vapors (63) which have passed through the grease filter (6).

Insbesondere die Figuren 14 und 16 zeigen, dass in den Mittenbereichen (59) der vertikal oben liegenden Decken (60) der Kochdunst-Ansaugkammern (39) zwei oder mehrere Aussparungen (61) - für die von unten nach oben gerichtete Hindurchführung der Kochdünste (63) zu den stromabwärts von den Aussparungen (61) vorgesehenen Radial-Lüftern (38) - vorgesehen sein können.especially the Figures 14 and 16 show that in the middle areas (59) of the vertically overhead ceilings (60) of the cooking vapors suction chambers (39) two or more recesses (61) - for the bottom-up passage of the cooking vapors (63) to the downstream of the Radial fans (38) provided for recesses (61) - can be provided.

Like the one in particular Figures 14 and 16 can be seen, the radial fan motors (56) can be centered over the recesses (61) belonging to them in the central areas (59) of the ceilings (60) of the cooking vapors suction chambers (39), on the underside (45) of the Housing (44) for the heating or hob heating and control electronics.
In the housing (44) for the heating or hob heating and control electronics, for example, the hob heating elements (37), the power electronics (55) for the fan motors (56) and touch control operating elements (57 ) must be included (see Figure 12 ). On the underside of the housing (44) for the heating or hob heating and control electronics, for example, a device mains connection (58) can be provided (see FIG Figure 13 ).
especially the Figures 14 and 16 show that the axes of rotation (62) of the radial fan motors (56) can be aligned vertically and that the cooking vapors (63) collected vertically upwards by the rotating fan wheel (65) into the above the respective suction chamber (39) Fan housing (48) can be transported.

How out Figure 15 As can be seen, the fan housing (48) can - in plan view - have a spiral structure with an upstream guide chamber (66) and a downstream discharge chamber (67). According to the Figure 15 Downstream of the exhaust chambers (67), a space (68) adjoining all the exhaust chambers (67) of the radial fans (38) can be provided for dividing and aligning the cooking vapors exhaust streams (69). This space (68) can, for example, have two or more air guide surfaces (70). These air guide surfaces (70) can preferably be arranged and shaped in such a way that the odor filter (71) provided downstream of the partitioning space (68) - in relation to its total area - is evenly blown by the cooking vapors exhaust streams (69).

How out Figure 15 As can be seen, downstream of the odor filter (71) a bellows (72) which is flexible in the horizontal and / or in the vertical direction can be provided for flexible and vibration- and noise-decoupled connection to a downstream exhaust duct or kitchen body.

In particularly preferred embodiments of the hob (1) according to the invention, designed in the form of an assembly unit with a device (36), the cooking vapors (63) can pass the hollow cylindrical grease filter insert (6) at a speed in the range from 1.0 m / sec to 4.5 m / sec, preferably in the range from 1.15 m / sec to 4.25 m / sec, in particular in the range from 1.75 m / sec to 4.0 m / sec. In preferred embodiments of the hob (1) according to the invention, designed in the form of an assembly unit with a device (36), the cooking vapors (63) can pass the odor filter (71) at a speed in the range from 0.5 m / sec to 3.0 m / sec, preferably in the range from 0.7 m / sec to 2.7 m / sec, in particular in the range from 1.0 m / sec to 2.5 m / sec.

As a rule, the distance (43) between the underside (35) of the hob (1) on the one hand and the underside (45) of the housing (44) for the heating or hob heating and control electronics on the other hand can be in a range of 45 mm up to 80 mm. In general, the distance (46) between the underside (45) of the housing (44) for the heating or hob heating and control electronics on the one hand and the underside (47) of the fan housing (48) on the other hand can be in a range of 60 mm to 100 mm. The distance (49) between the underside (47) of the fan housing (48) on the one hand and the underside of the bottom (42) of the cooking vapor suction chamber (39) on the other hand can be, for example, in a range from 45 mm to 80 mm.

How special Figure 15 As can be seen, two radial fans (38) can - in a plan view - be positioned in the fan housing (48) on both sides of the tubular exhaust air line (50) provided downstream of the central hob recess (4). The directions of rotation (73) of the two fan wheels (65) of these two radial fans (38) are then preferably opposite to one another: according to FIG Figure 15 can - in a plan view - the left fan wheel (65) can be driven counterclockwise in rotation, while - in a plan view - The right fan wheel (65) can then be driven in a clockwise rotation. In this case, the two blow-out chambers (67) of the two radial fans (38) can be adjacent to the central exhaust air line (50).
The opposite alignment of the directions of rotation (73) according to Figure 15 leads to the advantage that the two cooking vapors exhaust streams (69) flow evenly towards the odor filter (71) provided downstream of the room (68) for dividing and aligning the exhaust streams (69) indirectly via air guide surfaces (70) or directly.

In particular Figure 14 shows that - in a top view - the central base area (74) located inside the hollow cylindrical grease filter (6) at least opposite the lateral bases (42) of the two suction chambers (39) provided on both sides of this central base area (74) with the formation of a stop (75) for the lower edge region (53) of the hollow cylindrical grease filter (6) can be at least slightly lowered. Furthermore, the central bottom area (74) - for collecting and catching overflowing liquid - can be designed to be inclined towards a central or edge-side depression (76). In this case, there is a particularly user-friendly way of accessing the central floor area (74) for cleaning purposes.

In summary, it should be noted that within the scope of the present invention, a hob with a device for extracting cooking vapors is provided in a direction vertically below the plane of the hob.
In the device according to the invention, a cooking fume extractor device is combined with a hob to form a component for the first time, which results in particularly low manufacturing and assembly costs.

Since the hob (1) according to the invention in the area of its geometric center of gravity (3) has a recess (4), which is round or oval or square in plan view, for a device (5) for extracting cooking vapors in vertically below the hob (1) pointing downwards, the surfaces located on both sides and to the rear of the hob can now for the first time be used without restriction on the worktop carrying the hob for storage purposes or the like.

Since the device (5) for extracting cooking vapors is now provided centrally in the area of the geometric center of gravity (3) of the hob (1), suction currents that are sufficiently strong and do not cancel each other act on the entire area of the hob (1). This reliably prevents cooking vapors from rising and spreading both in the central area of the hob and in its edge areas.
Particular advantages of the hob (1) according to the invention can also be seen in the fact that its production, assembly, maintenance and operating costs are particularly low.
Another advantage of the hob (1) according to the invention is that the electrical energy used for the suction is used particularly efficiently, which is why the efficiency of the hob (1) according to the invention is particularly high.
Another advantage of the hob (1) according to the invention lies in the fact that the development of noise is very low even during the cooking fume extraction operation.
With regard to the hob (1) according to the invention, designed in the form of an assembly unit with a device (36), it can be stated in summary that its overall height is particularly low, as a result of which the unimpeded space in the kitchen body is pronounced.
Another particular advantage of the hob (1) according to the invention, which is designed in the form of an assembly unit with a device (36), is its compactness and the fact that it can be completely preassembled in the factory. This means that the planning and installation effort is particularly low.

Finally, the completely pre-assembled, compact assembly unit only needs to be inserted into a recess in the worktop, which results in particularly quick, simple and inexpensive assembly.

By providing two or more radial fans (38) opposite one another downstream of the hollow cylindrical grease filter (6) - according to FIGS Figures 17 and 18 - The result is a significantly larger effective area of the grease filter (6) and an increase in the throughput volume with an improvement in the degree of grease separation and with the formation of a particularly low pressure loss on the larger, effectively effective grease filter area (6). This leads to the advantage that the fan motors (56) of the radial fans (38) can be designed to be particularly small, energy-saving, energy-efficient and quiet. In addition, the speed of the fan motors (56) can be selected to be lower, which is why the radial fans (38) used according to the invention operate particularly quietly, with little vibration and in an energy-efficient manner.

A particular advantage of the hob (1) according to the invention, designed in the form of an assembly unit with a device (36), is that it provides effective protection against and insensitivity to overflowing liquid that has penetrated through the central recess (4) - up to a volume of 5 I- offers. Because the fan motors (56) are suspended from the bottom (45) of the housing (44) for the heating or hob heating and control electronics, the tub-like volume of the lowest-lying cooking vapor suction chamber (39) is basically used to hold overflow liquid with the exclusion of any risk to the fan motors (56).
