Definitions
- the invention relates to a thread splicing device according to the Preamble of claim 1.
- Thread splicing devices for the pneumatic connection of two Thread ends have been associated with automatic winder machines known for a long time and in numerous patent applications described.
- Thread splicing devices which the thread insertion slot one in a so-called Splice head arranged during the splice channel Splicing process remains unlocked, as well Thread splicing devices in which this thread insertion slot during the splicing process using a special cover element is closed.
- DE 39 35 536 C2 describes, for example, a thread splicing device with a splice head, the splice channel of which has an approximately circular cross section. Compressed air injection openings open tangentially into the splice channel. The top of the splice channel also has a continuous slot through which the thread ends to be spliced can be threaded. This thread insertion slot can be closed by a cover element during the splicing process.
- Thread splicing devices of this type with or without a cover element have proven themselves in practice in principle. In the case of coverless splicing devices, however, difficulties occasionally arise when inserting the thread ends into the splicing channel, since in these thread splicing devices the thread insertion slot is usually relatively narrow.
- Thread splicing devices the splice channel through a pivotably mounted cover element is closable, have the disadvantage that such facilities are often relatively bulky are, that is, need such thread splicing devices a relatively large installation space.
- the The invention is therefore based on the object Thread splicer to create the aforementioned Does not have disadvantages.
- the embodiment according to the invention has the particular advantage that on the one hand such a device is extremely compact in terms of its construction, and on the other hand the thread ends to be spliced can be easily positioned in the area of the splice channel.
- At least one of the priment parts has a compressed air injection opening.
- a compressed air injection opening enables the targeted injection of splice air into the splice channel formed by the prism parts, the prism part, which has no compressed air injection opening, acting as a cover element.
- an air distribution channel is incorporated into the prism part. Branch off from this air distribution duct, preferably two compressed air injection openings, which open into the splice duct. Splice air can be blown into the splice channel via the air distribution channel and the compressed air injection openings. This splicing air causes a mutual swirling of the thread ends positioned in the splicing channel and previously largely freed of their spinning twist. That is, with the embodiment described in claim 3, safe and durable thread connections can be made.
- the compressed air injection openings each open tangentially into the splice channel (claim 4).
- the tangential arrangement of the injection openings ensures that an at least partially rotating air flow occurs within the splice channel.
- the two prism parts are identical and each have at least one compressed air injection opening.
- the prism parts in a preferred embodiment each consist of an approximately cylindrical prism body and a detachable, rear cover element.
- the prism bodies are designed so that there is sufficient space between the prism bodies in the thread take-up position for inserting the thread ends to be spliced. In the splice position, the prism bodies each lie on the opposite prism body in such a way that a largely closed splice channel is formed between the prism bodies.
- the rear cover elements which can be fixed on the prism parts each have a convexly rounded sealing surface into which an air connection bore is incorporated.
- This convexly rounded sealing surface of the cover elements corresponds in each case to a correspondingly concavely curved sealing surface of a stationary connection means which can be subjected to compressed air.
- the connection means is connected to a compressed air source via a pneumatic line, in which, for example, a solenoid valve is switched on, so that splicing air can be blown into the splicing channel in a targeted manner by appropriate activation of the solenoid valve.
- the effect of the splice air can be individually adapted to the respective material or the thickness of the thread ends to be spliced, for example via the opening time of the electromagnetic valve.
- the prism parts are mounted in a basic body of the thread splicing device to be pivotable to a limited extent.
- the prism parts are advantageously driven by a drive that can be controlled by the workstation computer, for example a stepper motor.
- a stepper motor Such stepper motors are commercially available, inexpensive large series components that have been tried and tested in various fields of application and have proven to be durable and reliable.
- FIG. 1 shows a front view of a textile machine, generally designated with the reference number 1, which in the exemplary embodiment is an automatic winder.
- Such automatic winding machines usually have a large number of similar work stations, in the present case winding stations 2, between their end frames (not shown).
- the spinning reels 9 produced on a ring spinning machine are rewound to form large-volume cross-wound bobbins 15 on these winding units 2.
- these cross-wound bobbins 15 are transferred to a machine-long cross-wound bobbin transport device 21 by means of an automatically operating service unit, preferably a cross-wound bobbin changer (not shown) and transported to a bobbin loading station or the like arranged on the machine end.
- Such automatic winder 1 also have a logistics facility in the form of a bobbin and tube transport system 3.
- spinning heads 9 or empty tubes run around on transport plates 8.
- the bobbin and core transport system 3 only the bobbin feed path 4, the reversibly drivable storage path 5, one of the transverse transport paths 6 leading to the winding stations 2 and the core return path 7 are shown in FIG.
- the delivered spinning bobbins 9 are rewound into large-volume cross-wound bobbins 15 in the unwinding positions AS, which are each located in the area of the transverse transport sections 6 at the winding stations 2.
- the individual winding units have various devices which ensure that these workplaces operate properly. These devices are - for example a suction nozzle 12, a gripper tube 25 and a thread splicing device 10.
- the thread splicing device 10 is preferably designed as a pneumatic splicer.
- Such winding units 2 also have more, not facilities shown in greater detail, such as a thread tensioner, a thread cleaner, a waxing device, a Thread cutting device, a thread tension sensor and one Bobbin thread sensor.
- Such an automatic winder 1 also has usually via a (not shown) Central control unit, which has both a machine bus the separate workstation computers 29 of the individual Winding units 2 as well as with a control device of the Service unit is connected.
- a (not shown) Central control unit which has both a machine bus the separate workstation computers 29 of the individual Winding units 2 as well as with a control device of the Service unit is connected.
- Winding devices 24 The winding of the packages 15 takes place on so-called Winding devices 24. These winding devices 24 have among other things via a coil frame 45, which by a Pivot axis 13 is movably mounted and a device for rotatably holding the bobbin tube. While of the winding process is freely rotatable in the bobbin frame mounted cheese 15 with its surface on a driven grooved drum 14 and is over this Friction taken away.
- the suction nozzle 12 which retrieves the upper thread 31 from the cheese 15 and inserts it into the thread splicing device 10, can be pivoted to a limited extent about an axis of rotation 16.
- the looper tube 25 for handling the lower thread 32 can an axis of rotation 26 can be pivoted.
- Figures 2 and 3 show the invention Thread splicing device 10 each in a top view.
- the thread splicing device 10 is in its Thread take-up position I shown, while Figure 3 the Thread splicing device 10 shows in its splice position II.
- the thread splicing device 10 consists essentially of two identical assemblies 17, each on a support arm 11 are set.
- the support arms 11 are a Drive device 18, which is only indicated schematically is adjustable in direction Z and direction A.
- Each assembly 17 has a base body 19 fixed to the support arm 11 with a pneumatically actuated connection means 20.
- the connection means 20 is in each case connected via a pneumatic line 22 to a compressed air source (not shown).
- a prism part 27 or 28 is also rotatably supported to a limited extent via a pivot axis 23.
- the prism parts 27, 28 each have a prism body 27A or 28A and a rear, detachably arranged cover element 30.
- the cover element 30 has a convexly curved sealing surface 33 which is curved with a correspondingly concave Sealing surface 34 of the connection means 20 corresponds. As indicated for example in Fig. 6, this is Cover element 30, for example via screw bolts 35, releasably attached to prism body 27A or 28A.
- Swivel levers 36 are also provided via the screw bolts 35 established. These pivot levers 36 correspond to one corresponding drive lever 37 one (schematically indicated) drive means 38.

Subsequently or at the same time, the hook tube 25 picks up the lower thread 32 from the thread tensioner and also positions the lower thread 32 between the prism parts 27, 28 of the thread splicing device 10 in the thread take-up position I.
- the thread splicing device 10 is then closed. That is, the threads 31, 32 are between the Friction discs 39 of the thread splicing device 10 are clamped, as indicated in FIG. 3.
- the prism parts 27, 28 are then pivoted counterclockwise by means of the drive 38 and thereby form a splice channel 44 between them.
- the thread ends 31, 32 are then prepared for the splicing process. That is, the thread ends 31, 32 are at least partially freed from their yarn twist by the counter-rotating friction disks 39.
- the free thread ends are then plucked and disposed of by the suction nozzle 12 or the hook tube 25. Subsequently, the thread ends of the threads 31, 32 positioned in the splice channel 44 are acted on with splice air via the compressed air injection openings 42, and so in this way whirls that an almost identical thread connection is created.

Abstract
