Definitions
- the invention relates to the use of a tracked vehicle with a front attachment as a mine clearing vehicle.
- Tracked vehicles designed in the sense of a bulldozer have been known in practice for some time and are generally used for tillage. Due to their particularly robust construction, they can be used especially for heavy work in forestry. They are used to move or transport felled trees or clear roads.
- Tracked vehicles or bulldozers are among others also used to cultivate soils.
- a milling drum arranged in a front attachment - in front of the actual tracked vehicle - is used for milling or combing through the upper layers of earth, whereby plants, trees, stones, etc. are crushed or broken up by the milling drum.
- the soil is circulated by the milling drum engaging in the upper layers of earth and the shattered wood, stones and the like are mixed with the soil.
- the claimed use is ultimately a mine-clearing vehicle with which preferably rifle mines and tank mines can be mined and cleared from a depth of up to 30 cm below the surface of the ground.
- the use of such a mine clearing vehicle is particularly about the removal of forgotten mines, for example in the area of old border facilities on the so-called death strip of the former GDR.
- the searching experts are exposed to considerable dangers.
- mines not found remain in the ground and continue to represent a very considerable danger.
- metal detectors attached to long poles are usually used, by means of which the mines are to be found. The actual clearance begins only after the mines have been found, whereby the mine clearer is always exposed to the risk of unintentional triggering and explosion.
- a land mine quick clearing device which is designed in the sense of an attachment for tracked or wheeled vehicles. Ultimately, this is actually a chain armor to which a front attachment to be pushed is coupled on the bow side.
- This front attachment comprises a frame which is connected to the vehicle via a coupling arm.
- a broaching roller assigned to the frame is provided, which, including the frame, is arranged obliquely to the central axis of the vehicle. The inclined position of the roller comprising the rotors is intended to cause the mines to be conveyed out laterally, the mines being thrown sideways due to the speed of the rollers. In any case, there is no intentional destruction of the mines. Rather, the mines - without detonation - should be dug out and thrown out of the side of the vehicle to avoid being run over and an unwanted detonation.
- a mine clearing vehicle is also known from FR-A 914 285, where the mines are only excavated from the ground. Although the mines may detonate by accident, such a detonation is by no means intended. Rather, the mines should only be conveyed to the surface or to the side for further disposal.
- the present invention is therefore based on the object, starting from a known tracked vehicle, to use this tracked vehicle as a mine clearing vehicle indicate according to which a safe evacuation in the area of hidden mines is possible.
- a tracked vehicle with a front attachment as a mine clearing vehicle
- the front attachment being hydraulically or pneumatically operated cylinder-piston arrangements and, if appropriate, pivotally connected to the tracked vehicle frame legs with the tracked vehicle can be lifted and lowered and one in Direction of travel forward and downward at least partially open box with therein preferably transversely to the direction of rotation, preferably hydraulically driven milling drum, the milling drum rotates against the direction of travel, soil and mines contained in front of the milling drum and there, ie in the ground, due to the pressure exerted on the mines by the milling drum, causing the mines to explode.
- the box is dimensioned in a very particularly advantageous manner such that it has at least the width of the bulldozer . It is also advantageous if the milling drum extends over the entire width of the box, so that the area in front of the tracked vehicle is safely plowed through and the rifle and tank mines lying about 30 cm below the ground surface are definitely detected.
- the rotational speed of the milling drum is preferably infinitely adjustable. So far make a very special adjustment to the respective floor to be milled.
- the direction of rotation of the milling drum could also be adjustable or reversible. This would have the very special advantage that when the milling drum rotates in the direction of travel, for example, mines or other non-destructible objects that cannot be exploded are conveyed out of the box or the area of the milling drum.
- the front attachment has a preferably hydraulic flap serving as a protective shield on its front side.
- the flap could be aligned in the working position so that it acts towards the driver of the mine clearing vehicle in the sense of a protective shield.
- the flap could also be used to close the front of the box, so that it is at least closed to the front during the mine search, so that explosions occurring inside or below the box are contained by the box.
- the flap in the case of a design of the flap as a protective shield, it could be locked at an incline to the front, preferably projecting upwards.
- the flap it is particularly advantageous in terms of design if it is pivotably articulated or mounted within the box on two opposite side walls.
- the box would then be at least largely closable by a downward pivoting movement through the flap.
- the flap could be pivoted on the upper edge of the box, for example from the outside.
- the box would then be closed by a downward swiveling movement.
- the milling drum engaging in the soil and rotating counter to the direction of travel conveys the soil over the mine against the flap which is in the closed state.
- the milling drum preferably has cutting and / or breaking tools that are evenly spaced from one another on the circumferential surface, these can grasp the mine from below and explode in the earth conveyed in front of the milling drum due to the pressure exerted there on the mine by the milling drum. If it is not possible to destroy the mine extracted from the ground by explosion, the direction of rotation of the milling drum can be reversed so that the mine that has not exploded is conveyed outside the box.
- the flap remains in the at least largely closed position during the mine clearing operation. If you only want to protect in the direction of the driver's cab, the flap can be folded up like a protective shield.
- the milling drum could be pivoted at least slightly in a horizontal plane, so that the soil can be conveyed out of the side of the box.
- the swivel direction and the swivel angle are adjustable.
- the box and, if applicable, the flap are or are made of steel plates. These components are to be designed in such a way that they can withstand explosions such as those that occur with tank mines weighing up to 7.5 kg.
- Fig. 1 shows a tracked vehicle, which is in particular a bulldozer here.
- the vehicle shown here has a front attachment 1, which is operatively connected to the tracked vehicle by means of hydraulically operating cylinder-piston assemblies 2 and frame legs 3 pivotably connected to the tracked vehicle .
- the milling drum 5 at least partially engages in the ground 6 to be searched for mines.
- Fig. 1 further shows that the front attachment 1 has a pivotable flap 7 serving as a protective shield on its front.
- the flap 7 is inclined obliquely towards the front in the sense of a protective shield, namely, it protrudes upward.
- the flap 7 could also serve to close the box 4 on the front side.
- the milling drum 5 has cutting and breaking tools 8 approximately evenly spaced apart on the circumferential surface. 3 clearly shows that the mine 9, which is only indicated there, is gripped by the cutting and breaking tools 8 and caused to explode in the earth 10 conveyed in front of the milling drum 5 due to the pressure exerted there on the mine 9.
- the flap 7 is in a position forming a protective shield, the flap 7 could - if necessary - be closed during the explosion of the mine 9. This would effectively prevent scattering of splinters or the like.

Description
- Fig. 1
- Fig. 2
