Definitions

  • the invention relates to a mobile tamping machine with a total of four tamping units, each assigned to a longitudinal side of the rail and adjustable in the transverse direction of the track, each having at least two tamping tools that can be provided by means of drives and set in vibration, which are arranged on a tool holder that is height-adjustable and connected to a tool frame.
  • a mobile track tamping machine with a total of four tamping units, each arranged on both sides of a rail, which can be moved independently of one another transversely to the longitudinal direction of the track by means of its own drives.
  • Each tamping unit has tamping tools of the conventional type, which are connected to a tool carrier and, together with this, are arranged on a tool frame so as to be height-adjustable for immersion in the ballast.
  • the respective tool frames are connected to the machine frame of the tamping machine via a device consisting of transverse guides and levers or coupling rods.
  • the action of the transverse displacement drive of a tamping unit results in a combination of movements of the tamping unit, and in addition to the horizontal adjustment in the transverse direction of the track, a pivoting movement of the tool frame is also effected in a vertical plane running transverse to the track.
  • the lower end of the tool frame which has the tamping tools, travels an arcuate and longer transverse displacement path than the upper end, which is connected to the coupling rods and is moved in a straight line along the transverse guide.
  • Such a machine can also be used to support the longer sleepers in points and crossings, but this requires a relatively large amount of construction.
  • a machine for stuffing the sleepers of a track in which two tamping units, each assigned to a rail, are arranged on a machine frame so as to be displaceable independently of one another on transverse guides.
  • Each tamping unit has a tool frame with vertical guide columns, on which two tool carriers, which are independently height-adjustable and have conventional tamping tool pairs, are mounted. If a track obstacle occurs, e.g. a switch tongue etc., the tamping tool pair located above this obstacle is not lowered, while the opposite tamping tool pair can be used unimpeded for tamping.
  • the transverse adjustment range of the tamping tools is limited by the arrangement of the transverse guides within the machine profile.
  • the object of the present invention is to create a track tamping machine for switch and crossing areas, with which the greatest possible transverse displacement of the tamping tools is possible with only little additional construction effort.
  • each of the outer tamping units is arranged on the tool frame of the adjacent inner tamping unit so as to be pivotable about a pivot axis extending above it in the machine longitudinal direction.
  • the swivel axis is arranged at a distance from the two tool frames in the area above the outer tamping unit due to flange connections running transversely to the machine longitudinal direction, the distance of the tamping ax from the sleeper surface or ballast surface is hardly increased, despite the greater swiveling range, so that no correction is made to the penetration depth of the tamping ax - because of that largely linear and horizontal transverse displacement - is required.
  • two adjustment drives are provided which are spaced apart from one another in the longitudinal direction of the machine and are arranged approximately at half the height of the two tool frames and connect them to one another.
  • the adjustment drives can be made relatively short and still bring about a secure and torsion-resistant pivoting of the outer tool frame.
  • each outer tamping unit is expediently displaceably mounted on the tool frame of the adjacent inner tamping unit.
  • the outer tamping units can be distanced from the inner ones in the transverse direction of the track while avoiding an inclined position, as a result of which the lowering movement of the tamping pick is maintained in a precisely vertical direction.
  • the tool frame of each outer tamping unit is slidably mounted on guide rails connected to the tool frame of the associated inner tamping unit and extending in the cross-machine direction parallel to the transverse guides of the inner tamping units.
  • Such a bearing enables the outer tamping units to be adjusted transversely without any disadvantageous change in the depth of penetration of the tamping pick into the ballast while maintaining the advantage of simple construction and robustness.
  • a track tamping machine 1 shown in FIG. 1 has an elongated machine frame 2 which can be moved via running gears 3 on a track 6 formed from rails 4 and sleepers 5.
  • Driving cabins 7 arranged at the end and a working cabin 8 are provided for accommodating the operating personnel during the transfer journey and the right of way - in the working direction indicated by an arrow 9.
  • An energy source 1o serves to supply power to all drives of machine 1 and their working units, which consist of a track lifting and straightening unit 11 and switch tamping units 12 arranged downstream thereof in the working direction.
  • the work units are controlled by means of a leveling and straightening reference system 13 during work.
  • each outer or inner tamping unit 14 or 15 has a tool holder 21 which is vertically adjustable with its own tool frame 17 or 18 and which is equipped with height adjustment drives 20 for the purpose of lowering tamping picks 19 in the ballast.
  • the height adjustment drives 2o are arranged in the inner tamping units 15 above the tool frame 18, while in the outer tamping units 14 - as can be seen in particular from FIG. 3 - they are largely provided within the tool frame 17.
  • the tool frames 18 of the two inner tamping units 15 are mounted independently of one another on transverse guides 22 which run transversely to the machine longitudinal direction and are connected to the machine frame 2 and can be displaced thereon by means of their own transverse displacement drive 23 (see small arrows in FIG. 2).
  • the tool frames 17 of the outer tamping units 14 are each mounted on the tool frames 18 of the inner tamping units 15 adjacent to them and can thus be displaced together with them in the transverse direction of the track.
  • Said mounting of the outer on the inner tool frame 17, 18 takes place in the form of a flange connection 24, by means of which the outer tool frame 17 can be pivoted about a pivot axis 25 running in the machine longitudinal direction or can be distanced from the associated inner tool frame 18.
  • Adjustment drives 26 are used for this purpose, which in the exemplary embodiment shown are arranged approximately at half the height of the two tool frames 17, 18 and each connect them to one another.
  • the pivot axis 25 is further distanced in the cross-machine direction from the respective tool frame 17, 18 or in the area above the outer tamping units 14 arranged. It is thereby achieved that the tamping picks 19 are moved almost linearly and horizontally.
  • Both tool frames 17, 18 can be connected to one another for normal use (see right half of FIG. 2) by means of a corresponding locking device.
  • the two inner tamping units 15 are connected to one another by two telescopic rods 40 spaced apart in the machine longitudinal direction. These can be changed in length in the cross-machine direction and can be blocked relative to one another by drives 41.
  • the two right-hand tamping units 14, 15 - for tamping the threshold 5 - are shown in the normal position above a rail 4 of the track 6 in FIG. 2, with no part of the outer tamping unit 14 or the flange connection 24 the machine profile exceeds 27.
  • the two left tamping units 14, 15 - after the other rail 4 belonging to the main track has been tamped - are moved into the outermost transverse position by means of the transverse sliding drive 23 in order to stuff a rail 28 of a branch track.
  • the two adjusting drives 26 are additionally acted upon and the outer tamping unit 14 is thereby spaced apart from the inner tamping unit 15. Then the tamping picks 19 of the outer tamping unit 14 are lowered with the aid of the height adjustment drive 20 for tamping. After the inner tamping units 15 have been centered, they are stabilized in their position relative to one another when the drives 41 are acted upon.
  • the tamping pick 19 which is designed as a double swivel pick, can, depending on requirements, also be individually pivoted out laterally in order to avoid any obstacles when lowering. As soon as all areas to be tamped have been processed in this way one after the other along a threshold 5 in the switch area, the machine 1 is moved to the next threshold, where the work steps are repeated.
  • FIG. 4 shows a tool frame 29 of an inner tamping unit 30, which is mounted on transverse guides 33 connected to a machine frame 31 of a track tamping machine 32 (not shown in any more detail) by means of a displacement drive 34 in the transverse direction of the machine.
  • a displacement drive 34 in the transverse direction of the machine.
  • two guide rails 35 are connected, which run parallel to the transverse guides 33 and on which a tool frame 36 of an outer tamping unit 37 is mounted such that it can be displaced in the transverse direction of the machine by means of an adjustment drive 38.
  • the height-adjustable tool carriers and tamping tools on the guides 39 are not shown here.
  • the mode of operation of this embodiment of the invention is essentially the same as that already described with reference to FIG.
