Definitions
- the invention relates to a corkscrew with a head in which the shaft of the helical screw-in part provided with a tip is fastened and which is provided with a hole extending transversely therethrough, into which a sleeve-shaped protective cap which can be placed on the screw-in part can be inserted in a T-shape as a pulling part, and with a hook-shaped part for opening bottles sealed with crown caps.
- Corkscrews of this type are known in different embodiments, but their appearance and their easy handling are impaired by the type of arrangement of the hook-shaped parts.
- the object of the invention is therefore to provide a corkscrew of the type mentioned, which can be easily handled with an attractive appearance.
- this object is achieved in that the head is provided at a distance corresponding to the diameter of a crown capsule closure from its upper edge opposite the screw-in part with a projection directed against this edge and forming the hook-shaped part.
- This projection which has the shape of a screwdriver tip, can be attached to the head in an elegant manner, so that the corkscrew with the protective cap attached has the shape of an attractively designed opener for crown capsule closures, without the appearance being impaired by the double function as a corkscrew.
- the cross section of the head is expediently approximately rectangular and the hole is widened in the form of a shell on one side, the diameter of the expansion corresponding approximately to the diameter of the crown capsule closure and the projection being arranged on the side of the depression facing the screw-in part and within it.
- the hook-shaped projection is arranged in a protected manner in the bowl-shaped recess, so that there is no risk of injury and unintentional snagging or snagging of the hook-shaped projection on substances or other objects is avoided.
- This bowl-shaped depression further ensures that the outer edge of the head is supported on the outer edge of the crown capsule closure to be lifted on the opposite side of the hook-shaped projection, so that the crown capsule closure can be lifted with a large lever arm that engages this almost without deformation.
- the head is provided on its side opposite the cup-shaped recess with a matrix-shaped recess, the depth of which corresponds to the height and the diameter of the diameter of the crown capsule closure.
- This matrix-shaped depression makes it possible to close bottles again with the crown capsule closure lifted off. This is only to be placed on the bottle opening.
- the head is then placed with its matrix-shaped recess on the crown capsule closure and this is clamped by a light blow on the side of the head of the corkscrew provided with the cup-shaped recess, and is reattached to the opening edge of the bottle previously with the corkscrew according to the invention could be lifted from the openable bottle almost without deformation.
- the protective cap is provided in its upper region with a part made of elastically more flexible material that thickens conically towards the end. This thickened part serves as a stopper for the closure of bottles of all kinds, especially wine bottles.
- the slightly conical protective cap can be provided in the area of its open, thicker end with a cylindrical extension onto which the conical plug-like part is pushed with a press fit.
- This plug-like part can consist of plastic of greater softness and elasticity than the protective cap, of cork or other suitable materials.
- the plastic head is expediently sprayed onto the shaft of the screw part.
- the head can also consist of a zinc die-cast part.
- the hook-shaped projection is expediently formed by the end of the shaft which is flattened like a screwdriver tip.
- the head itself can be approximately teardrop-shaped in plan view, which gives it an attractive appearance.
- the matrix-shaped depression in the head of the corkscrew in the outer region of its wall is provided with groove-shaped depressions which are arranged at a distance from one another and are approximately complementary to the profile of crown capsule fasteners.
- crown capsule closures are used, which are formed by pressure on threaded bottle openings. Such bottles are opened by turning these crown capsule closures.
- this turning is often associated with considerable expenditure of force, so that the corkscrew provided with grooves according to the invention in its matrix-shaped recess can be used as a wrench for opening such crown capsule screw closures.
- the corkscrew consists of a coiled screw-in part 1 made of steel, the shaft 2 of which is embedded in the head part 3 of the corkscrew.
- the head part 3 consists of a main part which is approximately drop-shaped in plan view and approximately rectangular in cross section, which in the manner shown in the drawing with a
- the hole 4 is also approximately teardrop-shaped in cross-section, it being circular about a circumferential angle of 270 ° and having a radius which corresponds to the average diameter of the sleeve-shaped protective cap 5.
- the head part 3 On its drop-like tapering side, the head part 3 has an approximately cylindrical extension 6 which surrounds the shaft 2 of the screw-in part and which serves to hold the protective cap 5 pushed thereon.
- the head part 3 is provided with a bowl-shaped recess 7, which can also be addressed as a bowl-shaped widening of the hole 4.
- the diameter of this cup-shaped recess 7 corresponds to the diameter of the crown capsule closures to be lifted.
- the screw-like tip-like projection 8 is arranged so that it projects freely the edge of the openable crown caps closures forms behind hooks.
- the projection 8 is formed by the flattened end of the shaft 2 of the screw-in part 1. This shaft is bent at an angle in its end region in the manner shown in FIG. 2, so that the projection 8 lies in the region of the edge of the bowl-shaped recess 7 and within this recess.
- the head part 3 On its side opposite the recess 7, the head part 3 is provided with a matrix-shaped recess 9, the height and diameter of which correspond to the shape of the crown capsule closures.
- the protective cap 5 consists of a sleeve-shaped part which, starting from the closed end 10, thickens slightly conically. In its open end region, the protective cap is formed by a step
- Ring shoulder 11 is provided with a cylindrical part 12 onto which the conical, plug-shaped part 13 is pushed with a press fit.
- the protective cap expediently consists of relatively hard, clear plastic, while the plug-shaped part 13 can consist of more elastic plastic or cork.

Abstract
Description
- Fig. 1 eine Draufsicht auf den Korkenzieher,
- Fig. Z einen Schnitt durch den Korkenzieher entlang der Linie II - II in Fig. 1,
