Definitions
- the invention relates to a powder coating booth with a booth floor, a powder collection device on the booth floor, two doctor blades arranged one behind the other for wiping powder from the booth floor to the powder collection device, which is arranged between the doctor blades, and a drive train pulling the doctor blade for moving the doctor blade forward and back together , wherein during the advancement of one squeegee from a starting position to the powder collecting device, the other squeegee is moved back into its starting position by the powder collecting device.
- Such a powder coating booth is known from FIGS. 6 and 7 of DE-A-2219040.
- the cabin floor has the shape of two floor trays running parallel to each other in the longitudinal direction of the cabin, each with a suction shaft at the deepest tub location.
- the doctor blades are connected to each other by a transport chain, through which they are moved back and forth. During the advance movement, a squeegee is advanced in each floor trough from a starting position to the suction shaft designed as a powder collection device, while the other squeegee of the relevant trough is moved back from the suction shaft to a starting position.
- the squeegees graze on the cabin floor both during the forward movement and during the backward movement.
- 1 to 5 of the same document show an embodiment in which the squeegees are pivotally guided in slots in the cabin walls such that the squeegees only graze on the floor during the forward movement, but are pivoted into a position at the start of the backward movement, at which they are at a distance from the ground.
- the forward movements and backward movements of the doctor blade are not coordinated with one another in time so that the forward movement of one doctor blade corresponds to the backward movement of the other doctor blade.
- a cabin for cleaning objects by irradiation with sand or metal granules is known.
- a slide slot serving as a collecting device which extends across the cabin in the middle of the cabin, is arranged on both sides, in each case a plurality of carriages, which carry swiveling squeegees and can be moved back and forth by cable pulls.
- the squeegees slide over a floor to be cleaned below a grid-like or perforated work platform, which forms the actual cabin floor.
- the squeegees are pivotally connected to the slide via swivel axes.
- the axes extend transversely to the direction of movement and the cables are passed through slots which are formed in the upper ends of the doctor blade. This causes the squeegees of carriers of the cables to be pivoted into a lower position for cleaning the floor during the forward movement, and during the backward movement the squeegees are pivoted into a position raised from the ground.
- the object of the invention is to design the powder coating booth in such a way that the downtimes or downtimes required for cleaning are shortened.
- FIG. 1 shows a squeegee carriage unit 2 with two squeegees 4 and 6 in a position shifted to the left with reference to the drawing in the lower left part of a powder coating booth 8 according to the invention.
- the squeegee 4 shown on the left in the drawing is in its starting position and the squeegee 6 shown on the right is above the powder collection area 14, which is formed by an opening 14 in the cabin floor 12.
- the opening 14 is located in the middle on half the length of the cabin 8 and extends over the entire width of the cabin floor 1. Below the opening 14 there is a collecting container 16.
- the two doctor blades 4 and 6 are each pivotally mounted in a cross member 20 about an axis 18 extending in the cabin transverse direction.
- the cross members 20 are connected to one another by longitudinal members 22.
- a drive train 24 contains an endless cable 26 which runs over rollers 28 and 30 arranged outside the cabin 8, of which one roller 28 is driven by a motor 32.
- the cable 26 is passed through a central slot 34 of the doctor blade 4 and 6 shown in FIG. 4 and is provided with drivers 36 on each side of this doctor blade. These drivers 36 sit on a tube 40 which is fastened on the rope 26 passed through it.
- the squeegee drawn by the cable 26 - squeegee 6 in FIG. 1 - lies against a stop 38 of the squeegee carrier 20.
- the squeegee 6 drawn in the forward direction to the opening 14 pushes the other squeegee 4 in the backward direction via the longitudinal member 22 its starting position shown in Fig. 1, the drivers 36 of the rope 26 pivot this other doctor blade 4 in the backward direction away from the floor 12 upwards into an out-of-operation position.
- the two squeegees 4 and 6 move as a unit 2 to the left until, according to FIG. 1, the left squeegee 4 is opposite an inductive proximity switch 42 arranged on the left end wall 10 of the cabin 8, which thus acts as a limit switch.
- the motor 32 for driving the cable 26 is then switched off or switched over.
- the cable 26 moves the squeegee carriage unit 2 to the right from the position shown in FIG. 1 in the direction of the arrow 44.
- the right squeegee 6 is pivoted in the direction 44 of its backward movement according to FIG. 2 into an out-of-operation position by the drivers 36 of the cable 26, while the left squeegee 4 in the direction of its forward movement, which is the same as the mentioned backward movement 44 of the other squeegee 6, is pivoted downward against the cabin floor 12 into its operating position until it abuts its stop 38.
- the entire squeegee carriage unit 2 is moved in the forward direction 44 by the drivers 36, which bear against the left squeegee 4.
- the squeegees 4 and 6 have the positions shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 and the left squeegee 4 squeegees powder 48 present on the floor 12 into the opening 14 and into the collecting container 16 underneath according to FIGS. 2 and 3.
- the forward movement 44 of the left squeegee 4 continues until it is above the opening 14, the right squeegee 6 simultaneously reaching its end position shown in FIG. 3 and opposite an inductive proximity switch 52 arranged on the right end wall 50 of the cabin.
- the direction of movement of the cable 26 is reversed, so that the right squeegee 6 is now pivoted downward by the drivers 36 against the floor 12 into the operating position and moved in the forward direction according to the arrow 52 to the opening 14.
- the forward movement 52 of the right squeegee 6 is now simultaneously the backward movement direction of the left squeegee 4, which in the inoperative position shown in FIG is moved back into the end position shown in Fig. 1.
- these doctor blades 4 and 6 can be provided with gas nozzles 54 which are directed against the bottom 12 and are connected to a compressed gas source 5.
- the opening 14 extends over the entire width of the cabin floor 12.
- the doctor blades 4 and 6 can be provided with a doctor blade edge 57 made of a different material, corresponding to the doctor blade 6 shown in FIG.
- the doctor blade carriage unit 2, which carries both doctor blades 4 and 6, is provided on both longitudinal sides with sliding elements 58, which sit on slide rails 60 of the cabin side walls 62 and can be displaced thereon in the longitudinal direction of the cabin. 4 also shows that the drive train 24 runs with the cable 26 in the middle of the cabin in the longitudinal direction of the cabin. In order to avoid contamination of the lower run 64 of the cable 12 below the cabin floor 12 but through the container 16, it is passed through a pipe 66 in the container 16.
- the upper run 70 of the rope 26 is passed through the end walls 10 and 50 of the cabin 8.
- a narrow opening is formed in the end walls.
- the opening is formed in each case by an insert 76 in which a conical bore 78 narrowing from the outside of the wall towards the inside of the wall is formed, through which the cable 26 runs through.
- a gas nozzle 80 arranged outside the end wall 10 is connected via a line 82 to the compressed gas source 56 shown in FIG. 1 and blows compressed gas against the cable 26 within the narrowing bore 78.
- the cabin floor 12 can always be kept so clean that an excessively large amount of powder 40 does not accumulate. This prevents an explosively high accumulation of powder and the booth can be cleaned more quickly if you want to change from one type of powder to another.
- the squeegee carriage unit 2 can be easily lifted off the slide rails 60 of the cabin and exchanged for another squeegee carriage unit, so that there are no downtimes for cleaning the squeegee carriage unit.
- the gas nozzle 80 which is directed through the bore 78 into the interior 83 of the cabin, keeps the cable 26 constantly clean and prevents powder from escaping from the cabin.
- a chain or alternately loaded reciprocating pistons or suitable other known drive devices can also be used for the drive train 24.
- the simplest is a rope or a chain.

Description
Darin zeigen:
- Fig. 1 den unteren linken Teil einer Sprüh-Pulverbeschichtungskabine nach der Erfindung im Längsschnitt im wesentlichen längs der Ebene I-I von Fig. 4;
- Fig. 2 den unteren mittleren Teil der Sprüh-Pulverbeschichtungskabine im Längsschnitt;
- Fig. 3 den unteren rechten Teil der Sprüh-Pulverbeschichtungskabine von Fig. 1;
- Fig. 4 einen Querschnitt durch den unteren Teil der Sprüh-Pulverbeschichtungskabine von Fig. 1 längs der Ebene IV-IV;
- Fig. 5 einen Axialschnitt eines Details V von Fig.1.
