Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft druckempfindliche
Durchschreibematerialien, die auch chemische Kopierpapiere genannt werden, welche
bevanntlich eine Farbbildnerschicht und eine Farbstoffa^zeptorschicht
aufweisen. Unter Druc1- reagiert
ein Teil des Farbbildners mit dem Farbstoffa^zeptor
unter örtlicher Färbung.
Papiere dieser Art enthalten meist in Mikrokapseln eingeschlossene organische Verbindungen, die
man als Farbbildner bezeichnet, weil sie mit Farbstoffavzeptoren
eine Farbreaktion ergeben. Solche Farbbildner sind z.B. KristallviolettlaVton, MalachitgrünlaVton,
Benzoylleuvomethylenblau, Rodaminbetalaktam
oder Leu^oauramin. Als FarbstoffaVzeptoren dienen derzeit z.B. solche auf Basis von Attapulgit, Zeolith,
KaoT in, Phenolharzen sowie von Phenolverbindungen mit
frei reagierenden Phenol gruppen im Verein mit Bindemitteln, z.B. Polyvinyl-, Polyvinylchlorid- und Poly- '
vinylazetatverbindimgen und Mischpolymerisaten dieser Verbindungen und allenfalls Harzen, z.B. Esterderivaten
von KoT ophonium und Alkohol sowie allenfalls Metallstearaten
und Kieselsäure. Üblicherweise liegen Farbbildner und FarbstoffaVzeptoren in separaten Schichten
vor. Ein solches Papier vann jedoch auch aus einem
Blatt bestehen, das sowohl Farbbildner als auch Farb-

stoffa^zeptor, gegebenenfalls mit einer Zwischenschicht
j enthält. Unter Drue1: reagiert ein Teil des
Parbbildners mit der Färbst of faV:z ep tormasse unter
örtlicher Färbung.
Es wurde nunmehr festgestellt, daß die in chemischen Kopierpapieren zu verwendenden Farbstoffakzeptormassen
in vielfacher Hinsicht verbessert werden Können, wenn in diesen Massen als Hauptrea>tions-'-omponenten
Chloride von Metallsalzen, gegebenenfalls zusammen mit Harnstoff oder Harnstoffderivaten, eingesetzt
werden.
Die Verwendung von Metallchloriden führt zu einer intensiven» sich durch besondere LichtStabilität
auszeichnenden Farbbildung, wobei diese Farbbildung mit Farbbi"1 dnerschichten erreicht wird, die eine
geringere Dicve aufweisen als A^zeptorschichten, in
denen vorwiegend Farbstoffavzeptoren herkömmlicher
Art, wie z.B. Attapulgit oder Kaolin, eingesetzt sind.
Demnach betrifft die vorliegende Erfindung ein druckempfindliches Durchschreibematerial auf Basis
einer Farbbildnermasse und einer bei Berührung mit dieser unter Farbbildung reagierenden FarbstoffaVzeptormasse,
das dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, daß die Farbstoffa'-zeptormasse
als Eea^tions^.omponente ein Chlorid eines Metalles mit der Atommasse von 50 -66, insbesondere
von Zinv» Vanadium^ Chrom, Mangan, Eisen, Kobalt, Wickel

oder Kupfer, gegebenenfalls im Verein mit Harnstoff oder dessen Derivaten, z.B. Thioharnstoff, und zusätzlich ein
Bindemittel und Zusatzstoffe enthält, wobei das Metallsalz direkt mit dem Bindemittel an das Trägermaterial
gebunden ist und die Farbbildnermasse aus einem ebenfalls direkt an das Bindemittel gebundenem FarbstoffvorproduVt,
das mit dem Färbstoffakzeptor unter Farb-
bildung reagiert, besteht.
Die Farbstoffa^zeptormasse ^ann auf den Träger
mit Hilfe eines Lösungsmittels, in welchem das Metallchlorid bzw, die allenfalls zu verwendende Kombination
Metallchlorid und Harnstoff oder dessen Derivat unlöslich ist oder auch in Form einer Schmelze aufgebracht
werden. In letzterem Fall vann das Metallchlorid oder die zu verwendende Kombination in Wachs
dispergiert und bei Temperaturen von 50 - 220° C aufgetragen werden. Als Wachse können z.B. pflanzliche,
tierische oder Mineralwachse, synthetische und chlorierte Wachse und Paraffine, Oxydwachse, Polyäthylen- und
Polyäthylenoxydwachse mit einem Molekulargewicht von 400 - 12000 verwendet werden.
Beim Lösungsmittelauftrag können aliphatische
Kohlenwasserstoffe, Chlorkohlenwasserstoffe, aromatische Kohlenwasserstoffe, Alkohole, Ester oder Ketone verwendet
werden.

eignen- 3ich Polyvinyl-, Polyvinylchlorid- und PoIyvinylazetatverbindungen
oder ein Mischpolymerisat dieser Verbindungen, denen.jnan gegebenenfalls Weich-,
raacher, Metallstearate wie Kobalt oder Zinkstearate,
Naturharze oder zusätzliche Kunstharze und gegebenenfal"i.
s aktiven oder inaktiven Ton, ζ,E, Kaolin oder
Kieselsäure, zugibt. Als Harnstoffderivate kann man
Thioharnstoff oder ein beliebiges Derivat der allgemeinen Formel C H. -*· R, in. der =1 -20 imd
q = 1 - 16 bedeuten und R für eine der Gruppen IT2O, N2Op H2S oder N<O^ steht, oder eine Komplexverbindung
mit halogenen, insbesondere eine oder TrichloridharnsLoff\omplexverbliidong e
Ep eignen sich jedoch auch Harnstoff sowie Thioharn— --,.
stoff und der speziell zu nennende Diphenylthioharnstoff alβ Zusatz zu dem Metallchlorid.
Es konnte festgestellt werden, daß der Zusatz eines Metallstearat.es oder einer Mischimp· ο ine:. 2r?'7rc
amids und Alkohols auf Acytelenbasis mit zykloali- \
phatipchen N- oder O~haltigen Kondensationeprodukten

Stearate sind neben den Kobalt- und Zinkstearaten auch Blei-, Zinn-, Kalzium-, Aluminium-, Barium und Ki*»ci^

Man hat zwar bis jetzt den Farbstoffakzeptormassen
ebenfalls Metallsalze zugesetzt, jedoch lediglich in vleinen Mengen, um die Farbbildung zu beschleunigen
und nicht die eigentliche Farbreaktion hervorzurufen. Erfindungsgemäß werden die Metallsalze, insbesondere
das Zin^chlorid bzw. die Kombination aus Zinkchlorid
und Harnstoff bzw. dessen Derivaten in einer Menge von 5-90 Crew.$ zugesetzt.
Das Mischungsverhältnis von Metallchlorid und Harnstoff bzw. dessen Derivaten soll vorzugsweise
5 ■: 1 bis 1 j 1 betragen.
Als Metallchlorid eignet sich insbesondere das Zin^chlorid, jedoch erzielt man auch mit weiteren
Chloriden, wie beispielsweise Chrom(III)Chlorid, Mangan(II)Chlorid, Eisen(III)Chlorid, liickel(II)Chlorid,
Kobalt(II)Chlorid oder Kupfer(II)Chlorid ausgezeichnete
farbintensive und farbbeständige Kopien.
Verwendet man Zin^chlorid und Harnstoff für die Farbstoffavzeptormasse, so wird man ein Mischungsverhältnis
der Bestandteile von 9:1 bis 1:5 wählen.
Die vorliegende Erfindung bringt nicht nur den Vorteil, die oben angeführten färbintensiven und farbechten
Übertragungsbilder zu erhalten, sondern schafft die Möglichkeit, die Farbstoffa^zeptormasse in einem
wesentlich dünneren Auftrag aufzubringen, als es bisher

möglich war. Die Farbstoffa>zeptormasse ^cann in einer
Menge von 2-5 g/m aufgebracht werden, es ist jedoch ein besonderer Effe'-t der vorliegenden Erfindung, daß
ein Auftrag von lediglich 0,5-6 g/m , vorzugsweise 0,3 - 4 g/m ausreicht, ohne daß eine Qualitätsverminderung
der Kopien auftritt. Derartig dünne Schichtaufträge bringen den Vorteil, daß in einem Satz von
Durchschreibepapieren wesentlich mehr Blätter verwendet werden >önnen, als es bisher üblich war. Die bevorzugte
Auftragedic're hängt von der Art des BeSchichtungsverfahrens bzw. von der Art des verwendeten Lösungsbzw. Dispergiermittels ab. Verwendet man Wasser als
Dispergiermittel, liegen die Schichtaufträge etwas höher als bei der Verwendung von organischen Lösungsmitteln,
wie Aceton oder Äthylalkohol.
In der nachstehenden Tabelle sind Vergleichsversuche zusammengefaßt-, aus denen der erfindungsgemäß
erzielte Portschritt ersichtlich ist. Der Farbbildner - bestand aus zwei Teilen KristallviolettlaVfcon und ein
Teil Benzoylleu^omethylenblau. Die Parbstoffa^zeptormassen

Aus dieser Tabelle ist zu ersehen, daß mit einer Farbstoffavzeptormasse, die gemäß der Erfindung als
Rea'-tions'-omponenten Zin^ehlorid und Harnstoff enthielt,
weitaus bessere Resultate erzielt wurden, als mit 'diese Rea^tions'-omponenten nicht enthaltenden Massen, wobei
diese Resultate bei Verwendung von neben dieser Kombination noch Metallstearat enthaltenden Massen
etwas verbessert werden Vonnten. In erfindungsgemäßen Kopierpapieren verwendbare Stearate sind z.B. Blei-,
Zinv-, Zinn-, Calcium-, Aluminium-, Barium- und Eisenstearat.

Claims (12)
1., Druckempfindliches Durchschreibematerial
auf Basis einer Farbbildnermasse und einer bei Berührung mit dieser unter Farbbildung reagierenden
Farbstoffakzeptormasse, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Färbstoffakzeptormasse als Reaktionskomponente
ein Chlorid eines Metalles mit der Atommasse von 50 - 66, insbesondere Zink, Vanadium,
Chrom, Mangan, Eisen,· Kobalt, Nickel oder Kupfer, gegebenenfalls im Verein mit Harnstoff oder dessen
Derivaten, z.B. Thioharnstoff, und ein Bindemittel und Zusatzstoffe enthält, wobei das Metallsalz
direkt mit dem Bindemittel an das Trägermaterial gebunden ist und die Farbbildnermasse aus einem in
das Bindemittel eingebetteten Farbstoffvorprodukt, das mit dem Farbstoffakzeptor unter Farbbildung j.
reagiert, besteht.
2. Durchschreibematerial nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Farbstoffakzeptormasse Harnstoff
oder ein Harnstoffderivat der empirischen Formel CH. + R, in der = 1 - 20 und q = 1 -

bedeuten und R für eine der Gruppen N2O, U2O-, N2S oder
F^O^ steht, oder eine Komplexverbindung mit Halogenen,
insbesondere eine Trifluorid— oder Trichloridharnstoffkomplexverbindung, enthält.

3. Durchsehreibematerial nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Farbstoffakzeptor—
masse äLs Bindemittel Polyäthylenwachs mit einem Molekulargewicht von 400 - 12000 oder eine Polyvinyl Polyvinylchlorid-
und Polyvinylacetatverbindung oder ein Mischpolymerisat dieser Verbindungen und
Weichmacher, Metallstearate, wie Kobalt- oder Zink— stearate, Naturharze oder zusätzliche Kunstharze
oder gegebenenfalls aktiven oder inaktiven Ton, z.B. Kaolin oder Kieselsäure, enthält.
4. Durchschreibematerial nach einem.der Ansprüche
1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Farbstoffakzep-tormasse Diphenyl thioharnstoff enthält.
5. Durchschreibematerial nach einem der Ansprüche 1-4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Farbstoffakzeptormasse
eines oder mehrere der Salze Zink(II)-Chlorid, Chrom(III.)-Chlorid, Mangan(Il)-Chlorid,

6. Durchschreibematerial nach einem der Ansprüche
1 bis 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Farbstoffakzeptormasse 5-90 Gew.# Zinkchlorid bzw. Zinkchlorid
und Harnstoff oder dessen Derivate enthält.

7. Durchschreibematerial nach einem der Ansprüche
. 1 bis 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Farbstoffakzeptormasse
das Chlorid des Metallsalzes und den Harnstoff bzw. dessen Derivat in einem Mischungsverhältnis
von 5:1 bis 1 : 1 enthält.
8. -Durchschreibematerial nach einem der Ansprüche 1 -6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Farbstoffakzeptormasse
Zinkchlorid und Harnstoff in einem Verhältnis von 9:1 bis 1:5 enthält.
9. Durchschreibematerial nach einem der Ansprüche 1-8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Farbstoffakzeptormasse
eine Mischung eines Säureamids und eines Alkohols auf Acetylenbasis mit cycloaliphatischen
N- und O-haltigen Kondensationsprodukten enthält.
10. Durchschreibematerial nach einem der Ansprüche 1-9» dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Farbntoff-
akzeptormasse in einer Menge von 0,5-6 g/m , vor-
zugsweise 4,8 - 4 .g/m auf einen Träger aufgetragen
ist.
11. Durchschreibematerial nach einem der Ansprüche 1-10, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Farbbildnermasse
Harnstoff enthält.

und Parbstoffakzeptormasse auf einem Träger aufgetragen sind.
