Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung
von neuen Perfluoralkylsulfonamidopolyolen
Monofunktionelle fluorierte Alkohole, wie die
N-Alkanolperfluoralkansulfonamide, sind als Zwischenprodukte,
als oberflächenaktive Mittel und als Oberflachenbehandlungsmittel verwendet worden Bei
der Verwendung als Zwischenprodukt ermöglicht die
endstandige Hydroxylgruppe des Alkoholrestes die Herstellung der verschiedensten Derivate Das andere
Ende eines solchen Moleküls, d h. der Perfluoralkansulfonamidorest,
ist inert, unpolar und darüber hinaus sowohl hydrophob als auch oleophob Diese
Kombination bedingt die oberflächenaktiven Eigenschaften
dieser Verbindung Darüber hinaus können solche monofunktionellen Verbindungen zur Modifizierung
der Eigenschaften bestimmter Hochmolekularen verwendet werden, die zui Kondensation mit
der Hydroxylgruppe des Alkohols freie Carboxylgruppen aufweisen
Es war jedoch wünschenswert, fluorierte Polyole
herzustellen, die selbst als polyfunktionelles Monomeres
zur Polykondensation bzw. Polyaddition sowie als Zwischenproduki zur Herstellung von Addukten
und Polykondensationsprodukten verwendet werden können
Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren zur Herstellungvon Perfluoralkylsulfonamido-N-polyolen der allgemeinen

mehrwertige Alkohole, wie Äthylenglykol, m Frage verringertem Druck entfernt, wobei 43 Teile 1,2-Prokommen,
durchgeführt Die Umsetzung kann auch pandiol-3-(N-propylperfluoroctansulfonamid) zuruckm
der Schmelze durchgeführt werden. Die Reaktions- blieben, eine wachsartige feste Masse, die bei 0,5 mm
teilnehmer können in etwa stochiometnschen Mengen Hg bei 150 bis 157° C siedet. Das Produkt war in

In einen 2-1-Dreihalskolben wurden 408 g
C8F17SO2NHC2H5,
C8F17SO2NHC2H5,
450 g Athylenglykol und 184 g einer 24,5%igen Losung von NaOCH3 in CH3OH gegeben, worauf
das Genusch unter 15 mm Hg Druck 1 Stunde auf 1000C erhitzt und sodann auf 5O0C abgekühlt wurde.
95 g Glycerm-a-chlorhydnn
(ClCH2CHOHCHiOH)
und 5 g NaHCO3 wurden hinzugegeben und das
erhaltene Gemisch unter Ruhien 8 Stunden auf 1200C erhitzt Nach dem Erkalten wurde zur Erleichterung
der Phasentrennung eine geringe Menge Wasser hinzugegeben. Die Bodenschicht wurde abgezogen
uad bei 180°C/2 bis 3 mm Hg destilliert,

In einen Glaskolben wurden 25 g Perfluorhexansulfonamid,
2,5 g Natnummethoxyd und 25 ecm absolutes Methanol gegeben Das Umsetzungsgemisch
wurde etwa 1I2 Stunde auf dem Wasserdampfbad am
Ruckfluß erhitzt, wonach das Methanol unter verringertem Druck abdestilliert wurde, wobei etwa 26 g
des Natriumsalzes des Sulfonamide zuruckbheben. Zu der trockenen, festen Masse wurden 4,6 g 1-Chlor-2,3-propandiol
(1 : 1,1-molares Verhältnis von Natnumsalz
zu Diol) gegeben und das Gemisch in Toluol
3 Stunden bei 1250C am Ruckfluß erhitzt Das Toluol
wurde sodann unter vermindertem Druck abgezogen, das Produkt mit Äther extrahiert und der Extiakt
getrocknet, wobei das l,2-Propandiol-3-(N-propylperfiuorhexansulfonamid)
gewonnen wurde.
Mit dem Polyhydroxyteil besitzt das Molekül
einen hydrophilen, loshchmachenden endständigen Rest, der das Molekül in Wasper und anderen hydroxylgruppen-
oder sauerstoffhaltiigen Losungsmitteln ausreichend
löslich macht, damit es als oberflächenaktives Mittel wirken kann. Als solahes kann es in wäßrigen
Polymerisationssystemen, PoJituien und Wachsen als
Dispergier- bzw Emulgiermilttel dienen Die Vielzahl
von Hydroxylgruppen stellt außerdem ein Hilfsmittel
ίο dar, mit dem das Molekül an eine Substratoberflache
gebunden werden kann, wenn die Verbindung zur Oberflachenbehandlung verwendet wird So kann zur
Behandlung von hydrophilen Materiahen, wie Papier, Textilien, Leder, Metallen, keramischen Artikeln und
Glas, eine Losung dieser fluorierten Polyole hergestellt
werden, mit der sich nach dem Auftragen und Abdampfen des Lösungsmittels em dunner Überzug
aus orientierten Molekülen erzielen laßt, wobei die polaren Reste an die Unterlage gebunden sind,
so wahrend die nichtpolaren bzw fluorierten TeJe an
der Außenseite stehen und eine fluorkohlenstorTahnhche
Oberflache bilden, die wasser-, öl- und fettabweisend ist Der Polyhydroxyteil des Polyolmolekuls
ermöglicht außerdem die Herstellung vieler Derivate,
ζ B von Estern, wie man sie aus solchen verhältnismäßig
langkettigen Polyolen erhalten kann
Wegen des polyfunktionellen Charakters dieser
fluorierten Polyole können sie als Monomere zur Polykondensation und Polyaddition zu Polyestern,
Polyurethanen, Epoxyharzen und anderen Hochmolekularen dienen, bei denen Hydroxylgruppen an der
Polykondensation- bzw Polyadditionsreaktion teilnehmen
Zum Nachweis der überlegenen oberflächenaktiven Eigenschaften der nach dem erfindungsgemaßen Verfahren erhaltenen Polyole im Vergleich zu den entsprechenden, aus der USA -Patentschrift 2 915 554 bekannten einwertigen Alkoholen (a) wurden 0,001 °/ol8e Losungen der in der folgenden Tabelle angegebenen erfindungsgemäß !hergestellten Alkohole (b) hergestellt, deren Oberflachenspannung bei 230C gemessen wurde. Die angegebene Konzentration der Alkohole in der wäßrigen Losung winde gewählt, um eine vollständige Auflosung samtlicher geprüfter Verbindungen zu gewährleisten und etwaige Effekte, die auf unterschiedliche Loshchkeitseigenschaften zurückzuführen sind, auszuschalten.
Zum Nachweis der überlegenen oberflächenaktiven Eigenschaften der nach dem erfindungsgemaßen Verfahren erhaltenen Polyole im Vergleich zu den entsprechenden, aus der USA -Patentschrift 2 915 554 bekannten einwertigen Alkoholen (a) wurden 0,001 °/ol8e Losungen der in der folgenden Tabelle angegebenen erfindungsgemäß !hergestellten Alkohole (b) hergestellt, deren Oberflachenspannung bei 230C gemessen wurde. Die angegebene Konzentration der Alkohole in der wäßrigen Losung winde gewählt, um eine vollständige Auflosung samtlicher geprüfter Verbindungen zu gewährleisten und etwaige Effekte, die auf unterschiedliche Loshchkeitseigenschaften zurückzuführen sind, auszuschalten.

Wie aus den oben angegebenen Oberflachen- 65 aus der USA.-Patentschnft 2 915 554 bekannten ein-
spannungswerten ersichtlich ist, zeigen sowohl die wertigen Alkohole. Diese höhere Oberflachenaktivitat
erfindungsgemaß erhaltlichen Diole als auch Tnole kann mit Vorteil bei der Herstellung einer Vielzahl
eine bedeutend höhere Oberflachenaktivitat als die von Produkten ausgenutzt werden
Claims (1)
- PatentanspruchVerfahren zur Herstellung von Perfluoralkylsulfonamido-N-polyolen der allgemeinen FormelR{SO2N(R')Zworin Rf einen perfluoraliphatischen C1-C18-KOhlenwasserstoffrest, R' em Wasserstoffatom oder einen C1-C12-AIkVlTeSt und Z einen einwertigen aliphatischen, aromatischen, ahcychschen oder araliphatischen Kohlenwasserstoffrest mit mindestens zwei Hydroxylgruppen bedeutet, von denen eine endstandig ist, dadurchgekennzeichnet, daß man in an sich bekannter Weise das Alkahsalz eines Sulfonamide der allgemeinen FormelRrSO2N (R')H15worm Rf und R' die obengenannte Bedeutung haben,a) mit einer entsprechenden Kohlenwasserstoffverbmdung umsetzt, die eine Epoxygruppe und mindestens eine Hydroxylgruppe bzw. die mehrere Epoxygruppen besitzt, oderb) mit einem entsprechenden Halogenhydrin, das mindestens zwei Hydroxygruppen besitzt, oderc) mit einem entsprechenden olefinisch ungesattigten Halogenid umsetzt, die olefinische Gruppe epoxydiert und anschließend hydrolysiert.In Betracht gezogene Druckschriften
