Description
背景技术
本发明大体上涉及处理流式传输到显示器的视频图像,且更具体来说,涉及处理车辆外部的场景的流式传输视频图像。在一些实施例中,本发明甚至更具体地涉及处理从车辆中的充当后视镜的替代物的面向后相机获得的流式传输到显示器的视频图像。
发明内容

当正在被成像的物体是经调幅(amplitude modulated,AM)光源时,在再现从成像器捕获的流式传输视频数据时发生普遍问题。此类型的光源的非常常见的实例是以某一周期性速率脉冲式接通/关断的光源,如构造有发光二极管(light emitting diodes,LED)的车灯总成,其中LED经脉宽调制(pulse-width-modulated,PWM),所述脉宽调制是可能的调幅方法的子集。PWM周期和工作循环引起LED以某一周期性速率接通和关断,且拍摄此灯总成的流式传输图像的相机将捕获连续图像,其中LED可在一个或多个连续图像中‘接通’,并且接着在一个或多个后续图像中‘关断’。AM光源的其它实例包括应急车辆上的闪光灯(其也可包括PWM LED)、车辆上的转向信号,或隧道或停车库中的荧光源。
对于上文所列的多数示范性AM光源,光源的人类观察者不会察觉‘接通/关断’模式中的任何闪变,这是由于接通/关断模式的频率高于人类视觉系统能察觉的频率(PWMLED前灯/尾灯总成是主要实例)。但在用电子相机系统使AM光元件成像时,当在成像器阵列中以特定像素捕获光元件时使用的曝光时间、帧速率和快门方案(卷帘或全局)可造成展示此像素的一些图像是对光元件的‘接通’状态的成像,且展示此像素的连续图像捕获光元件的‘关断’状态。在尝试将这些图像再现到显示器时,在某一显示帧速率下,显示系统可最终向人类观察者呈现可辨别为‘闪变’光的‘接通/关断’模式。

基本上,所述分类可用以将当直接观察光时人类能察觉的闪变光与当直接观察所述光时人类不能察觉为闪变的光区分开。因此,可基于此分类选择性地修改光源的图像,使得光源将在显示的场景显得与其原本呈现给直接观察光的人类一样。

面向前的转向信号是可使用本说明书中公开的构想检测、分类和校正的时变光源的一个实例。不同于PWM光,其在成像器上的行间值可归因于拍频而大不相同,转向信号的频率显著低于相机的帧速率(1到2Hz相较于15到120Hz)。这造成以转向信号的频率接通和关断的光区域。光的边界内的此空间一致性结合指示转向信号和浅黄色色调的所检测频率可允许光作为所跟踪的转向信号的分类。一旦系统知晓其所属的光类别,所述系统便可通过增加其黄色饱和度来将其固定,从而产生更大的视觉吸引力,但保持其接通/关断行为。
PWM LED尾灯是难以正确地成像和视觉化的物体,这是因为其与背景相比通常相对不明亮。另外,对于卷帘快门相机,每一行像素可具有明显不同的亮度层级,并且这可由拜耳过滤器的空间效果加剧,从而导致色度和照度两者中的多个伪影。然而,这些行间变化、局部色彩广泛不同以及色彩和强度在帧与帧之间改变很大等特性以及图像位置、较亮红色像素优势、朝向扩展焦点运动、对光调制进行频率估计等其它特性中的一些可允许以高准确度对这些光进行分类。可通过在从所检测的范围选择照度时使色彩为均匀饱和的红色来执行使PWM LED尾灯固定,这最终将是在视觉上吸引人的并且移除了刺眼的伪影。

3.根据权利要求2所述的显示系统,其中所述图像处理单元修改所述选定流式传输视频图像,使得表示所述所检测的经调幅光源中的每一个的所述像素维持在使得当显示所述经处理流式传输视频图像时,由所述像素表示的所述所检测的经调幅光源中的每一个显得不具有能察觉闪变并且基于所述跟踪所述所检测的经调幅光源中的每一个在所述流式传输视频图像中的期望位置处出现的状态下。
4.根据权利要求1到3中任一权利要求所述的显示系统,其中所述图像处理单元不修改所述流式传输视频图像以校正来自分类为转向信号或应急车辆光的光源的闪变。
5.根据权利要求1所述的显示系统,其中通过取代表示分类于所述第一类中的所述所检测的经调幅光源中的每一个的像素,修改检测到分类于所述第一类中的经调幅光源的所述流式传输视频图像,使得表示所述所检测的经调幅光源中的每一个的所述像素总是处于使得当显示所述经处理流式传输视频图像时分类于所述第一类中的所述所检测的经调幅光源显得不具有能察觉闪变的状态下。
6.根据权利要求1或5所述的显示系统,其中所述图像处理单元在所述光源的所述闪变的频率高于阈值频率时,将所述所检测的经调幅光源分类于所述第一类中,并且在所述光源的所述闪变的频率低于所述阈值频率时,将所述所检测的经调幅光源分类于所述第二类中。
7.一种用于安装到车辆的后视总成,所述后视总成包括根据权利要求1到6中任一权利要求所述的的显示系统。
8.一种显示系统,包括:
图像处理单元,其用于接收流式传输视频图像并且处理所述流式传输视频图像;以及
显示器,其用于显示所述经处理流式传输视频图像,
其中为了执行所述流式传输视频图像的处理,所述图像处理单元被配置以:
检测所述流式传输视频图像中的经调幅光源,
将所述所检测的经调幅光源分类为至少两类,其中第一类的所检测经调幅光源具有当人类直接观察时所述人类不能察觉的闪变,且第二类的所检测经调幅光源具有当人类直接观察时所述人类能察觉的闪变,以及
基于所述经调幅光源的所述分类不同地处理所述所检测的经调幅光源,包括:
通过所述流式传输视频图像的图像帧跟踪所述所检测的经调幅光源,
通过取代表示分类于所述第一类中的所述所检测的经调幅光源中的每一个的像素,修改检测到分类于所述第一类中的经调幅光源的所述流式传输视频图像,使得表示所述所检测的经调幅光源的所述像素总是处于使得当显示所述经处理流式传输视频图像时分类于所述第一类中的所述所检测的经调幅光源中的每一个显得不具有能察觉闪变的状态下,以及
不修改所述流式传输视频图像以校正来自分类于所述第二类中的经调幅光源的闪变,以便所述第二类中的光源显得具有能察觉闪变。
9.根据权利要求8所述的显示系统,其中所述图像处理单元在所述光源的所述闪变的频率高于阈值频率时,将所述所检测的经调幅光源分类于所述第一类中,并且在所述光源的所述闪变的频率低于所述阈值频率时,将所述所检测的经调幅光源分类于所述第二类中。
10.根据权利要求9所述的显示系统,其中通过用来自接通周期的较高像素值取代来自关断周期的低像素值,维持所述所检测的经调幅光源中的每一个。
11.根据权利要求8所述的显示系统,其中分类于所述第二类中的光源包括转向信号和应急车辆光。
12.一种用于安装到车辆的后视总成,所述后视总成包括根据权利要求8到11中任一权利要求所述的显示系统。
13.一种处理流式传输视频图像的方法,包括:
检测所述流式传输视频图像中的经调幅光源;
将所述所检测的经调幅光源分类为至少两类,其中第一类的所检测经调幅光源具有当人类直接观察时所述人类不能察觉的闪变,且第二类的所检测经调幅光源具有当人类直接观察时所述人类能察觉的闪变;
为了显示的目的,基于所述经调幅光源的所述分类不同地处理所述所检测的经调幅光源,包括:
通过所述流式传输视频图像的图像帧跟踪所述所检测的经调幅光源;以及
通过取代表示分类于所述第一类中的所述所检测的经调幅光源中的每一个的像素,修改检测到分类于所述第一类中的经调幅光源的所述流式传输视频图像,使得表示所述所检测的经调幅光源的所述像素总是处于使得当显示所述经处理流式传输视频图像时分类于所述第一类中的所述所检测的经调幅光源中的每一个显得不具有能察觉闪变的状态下,以及
不校正分类于所述第二类中的经调幅光源的闪变,以便所述第二类中的光源显得具有能察觉闪变。
14.根据权利要求13所述的方法,其中所述所检测的经调幅光源当所述光源的所述闪变的频率高于阈值频率时分类于所述第一类中,并且当所述光源的所述闪变的频率低于所述阈值频率时分类于所述第二类中。
15.根据权利要求13所述的方法,其中分类于所述第二类中的光源包括转向信号和应急车辆光。
