As acid residues E, for. B. the sulfuric acid residue S03-OH or residues of sulfonic acids -S03R into consideration, where R is an optionally substituted hydrocarbon residue, residues of sulfur hydrogen -SH or -SR and preferably those of the hydrohalic acids, eg. B. Cl or Br.
Acyl radicals R3 or R4 are preferably those of the formula R6-S02- or R3-CO-, where R3 is hydrogen or an aromatic or a saturated or unsaturated aliphatic or cycloaliphatic radical which can form a ring with R4 and N together.
R3 can e.g. B. formyl, acetyl, propionyl, butyroyl, acryloyl, cyanoacetyl, dimethylaminoacetyl, benzoyl, methylsulfonyl or optionally substituted phenylsulfonyl, R4 z. B. alkyl, such as methyl, ethyl, but also cyclohexyl or phenyl and R3 and R4 together men z.
B. optionally substituted succinoyl, maleinoyl or phthaloyl. The reaction of a compound of the formula (II) with a hydrazine of the formula (11I) is preferably carried out in an organic solvent or in an organic solvent mixture, polar organic solvents being advantageously used, and at temperatures from -50 to +250.degree ,
preferably between +20 and 100 ° C. and at a pH between 3 and 10. However, the reaction can also be carried out in an aqueous medium, optionally with the addition of an organic solvent, at the temperatures mentioned above, e.g. B. get with Alko, such as aliphatic alcohols, dioxane, Diinethylformamid.
The dyes formed are separated off from the reaction medium after one of the customary basic operations such as filtering, evaporation and filtration, precipitation in a suitable medium and filtration.
The new dyes are preferably used for dyeing, padding or printing moldings, in particular fibers, threads or textiles made therefrom, made from polymers made from more than 80% acrylonitrile, for example from polyacrylonitrile or copolymers made from 80 to 95% acrylonitrile and 20 to 5 % Vinyl acetate, methyl acrylate or methyl methacrylate in strong shades, which have good light and wet fastness properties, as well as other fastness properties, especially good washing, welding,

It is particularly advantageous to dye in an aqueous, neutral or acidic medium at the boiling point or at temperatures above 100 ° C. under pressure.
Here, very level dyeings are obtained even without a retarder. Mixed fabrics which contain a proportion of polyacrylonitrile fibers can also be dyed very well. Those dyes which have good solubility in organic solvents are also suitable for coloring natural plastic compositions or dissolved or undissolved plastic, synthetic resin or natural resin compositions. So can. Polyacrylonitrile colored in the mass in lightfast and wetfast shades who. Some of the new dyes can, for.
B. be used for dyeing cotton, wool, silk, regenerated cellulose, synthetic polyamide fibers and paper. It has been shown that mixtures of two or more of the new dyes can also advantageously be used.
In the following examples, the parts are parts by weight and the percentages are percentages by weight. The temperatures are given in degrees Celsius. Example 1 18.4 parts of N-ethyl-N-ss-chloroethylaniline are heated to the boil for 24 hours together with 300 parts of methyl alcohol and 11 parts of N, N-dimethyl-N'-acetylhydrazine. The methyl alcohol is then distilled off in vacuo and the dry residue is taken up in 50 parts of benzene. When left to stand at room temperature, a salt-like compound separates out. This is filtered off and then stirred with acetone.
After another filtration, a white powder is obtained with a melting point of 151 '
Example 2 14.2 parts of p-hydroxy-benzyl chloride are mixed with 11 parts of N, 1-dimethyl-N'-acetylhydrazine in 300 parts of a solvent mixture of water and methyl alcohol in a volume ratio of 1: 1 in the heat implemented. After the reaction has ended, the solvent mixture is distilled off.
Example 3 8.8 parts of N, N-dimethyl-N'-formylhydrazine and 18.4 parts of N-ethyl-N-β-chloroethylaniline are heated to 60 to 65 in 150 parts of methanol for 10 hours. The solvent is then distilled off under reduced pressure at 35-50 and at the same time an equal amount of toluene is added dropwise to the reaction mixture. The reaction product crystallizes out towards the end of the distillation. It is filtered off and washed by stirring in acetone.
A white, salt-like powder with a melting point of 148 (uncorrected) is obtained.
Example 4 39.0 parts of 1 methyl anuno-4 - (3 '- chloromethyl - 4' - methylphenyl) anunoanthraquinone and 11.0 parts of N, N-dimethyl-N'-acetylhydrazine are in 300 parts Methanol heated to boiling for 20 hours. Then ver diluted with 1500 parts of water, distilled off the largest part of the methanol and filtered the solution at 70 to 80 after the addition of 10 parts of Hyflo filter earth. The dye precipitates from the filtrate when it cools.
After filtering again, the filter residue was dried at 90 (Torr. 15 mm). The dye obtained dyes polyacrylonite fibers in level: blue shades with good light and wet fastness properties.
Example S 30.4 parts of 4-chloroacetamino-2'-hydroxy-5'-methyl-azobenzene are heated to 90 in 260 parts of dioxane and treated with a solution of 12.2 parts of 1.1 di - Added methyl 2-acetylhydrazine in 40 parts of dioxane. The reaction mixture is heated to 90 to 95 for 3 to 4 hours, with part of the quaternized dye precipitating out.
After cooling, it is filtered and, after drying at 60 (Torr. 15 mm), an orange-brown powder is obtained, with which polyacrylonitrile fibers can be dyed in level yellow shades with good wet fastness properties.
If, instead of the 30.4 parts of the above azobenzene derivative, 40.4 parts of the yellow dye 1- (3'-chloro) -phenyl4- (4 "-chloroacetamino) - phenylazo-5-pyrazolone are used and the procedure is otherwise as in Example 5 described, a pure yellow dye is obtained with similarly good fastness properties in the dyeings on polyacrylonitrile fibers.
Dyeing instructions A 20 parts of the dye obtained in Example 5 are first intimately mixed with 80 parts of dextrin in a ball mill for 48 hours.
Then 1 part of the preparation obtained in this way is made into a paste with 1 part of acetic acid 40%, 400 parts of distilled water of 60 are poured over the porridge while constantly shaking and the whole is briefly boiled.
EMI0003.0067
It is diluted again with 7600 parts of distilled water, 2 parts of glacial acetic acid are added and, at 60, 100 parts of polyacrylonitrile fibers are added to the dyebath. The material was pretreated for 10 to 15 minutes at 60 in a bath of 8,000 parts of water and 2 parts of ice-vinegar. It is then heated to 100 within 30 minutes, boiled for 1 hour and rinsed.
A level yellow dyeing of excellent light fastness and very good wet fastness properties is obtained.
Dyeing instruction B To make a padding paste, use: 50 g / l dye (corresponding to the dye preparation prepared in the previous dyeing example), 3 g / l sodium alginate, 5 grp acetic acid conc., 20 g / l of a cationic plasticizer z. B. a condensation product of 1 mol of stearic acid and 1 mol of triethanolamine, 25 gr / l Glauber's salt.
Polyacrylonitrile fibers are padded cold on a 2- or 3-roll foulard according to the usual metho. The squeeze effect is 80%. After a short intermediate drying at 90 in the stenter, hot flue or with the help of an infrared heater, it is fixed with dry air in the nozzle clamping frame at 170-190 for 1 to 3 minutes, then rinsed, soaped and rinsed again.
A yellow dyeing with excellent lightfastness properties is obtained.
