Beispiel I

<tb> couples.
The azo coupling is carried out in a known manner, advantageously in a weakly alkaline to acidic, optionally buffered, medium.
Anion is understood to mean both organic and inorganic ions, such as, for. B. methyl sulfate, sulfate, disulfate, perchlorate, chloride, bromide, iodide, phosphomolybdate, phosphotungsten molybdate, ren zolsulfonat- or 4-chlorobenzenesulfonate ions.
Suitable bridging members Z are the alkylene groups having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, such as the methylene, ethylene or propylene group, it being possible for these groups to be branched if appropriate.
Low molecular weight alkyl is preferably to be understood as meaning the methyl, ethyl, propyl, butyl, amyl or hexyl group, that is to say alkyl groups having 1 to 8, preferably 1 to 6, carbon atoms, and the isomeric forms thereof.
The acid radicals E include, for example, those of sulfuric acid (E then means SO4H), a sulfonic acid (E then means SO3R, where R is an optionally substituted hydrocarbon radical), of hydrogen sulfide (E then means SH), but preferably those of the hydrohalic acids, where E stands for chlorine, bromine, etc., into consideration.
The reaction of a compound of the formula (IV) with a compound of the formula (V) is preferably carried out in an organic solvent and at temperatures from -50 to +250 C. However, the reaction can also be carried out in an aqueous medium, optionally with the addition of a organic solvent, or carry out completely without solvents at the temperatures mentioned above. The i-dyes formed are separated off after one of the usual basic operations such as filtering, evaporation and filtration, precipitation in a suitable medium and filtration.
The new dyes are preferably used for dyeing and padding. and printing of structures made of polymers with more than 80% acrylonitrile, for example polyacrylonitrile, e.g. B. Orlon (registered trademark), and copolymers of 80 to 90% acrylonitrile and 20 to 100 / o vinyl acetate, methacrylate or methyl methacrylate.
Such products are among the following, e.g. T.
registered protection brands: Acrilan '(& s mixed polymer of 85% acrylonitrile and 15% vinyl acetate or vinyl pyridine), Orlon, Dralon, Courtelle, Crylor, Dynel, etc.
On these materials, the dyeings have good light, washing, perspiration, sublimation, pleating, decoration, ironing, water, sea water, bleaching, dry cleaning, oil dyeing and solvent fastness and also have one extremely good salt tolerance. The dyes are also particularly pH stable products
The dyeing with the claimed dyes is advantageously carried out in an aqueous medium, it being advisable to work in a neutral or acid medium at boiling temperature.
The use of commercially available retarders is not a problem, although the new dyes are particularly suitable for achieving very level colorations on the abovementioned polymers even without a retarder. You can of course also carry out the dyeing in a closed vessel at elevated temperature and under pressure, since the new dyes are also resistant to overcooking. The new dyes can also be used to dye mixed fabrics which contain a proportion of polyacrylic fibers. Some of them are also suitable for dyeing polyacrylonitrile in bulk in lightfast and wetfast shades.
In some cases, those derivatives which have good solubility in organic solvents are also suitable for coloring oils, paints, plastic masses, plastics, and for spinning plastic masses dissolved in organic solvents.
Furthermore, some of the new dyes can be used for many other purposes, such. B. for dyeing tannin cotton, wool, silk, regenerated cellulose, synthetic polyamide fibers and paper in every production stage. It has been shown that mixtures of two or more dyes of the formula (I) can also advantageously be used.
The new dyes are characterized by good combinability, so that dye salts of the same or different dye classes can be used for the most varied of shade settings.
In the following examples, the parts are parts by weight, the percentages are percentages by weight and the temperatures are given in degrees Celsius.
Example I.
18.4 parts of N-ethyl-N-ss-chloroethyl-aminobenzene are dissolved in 100 parts of ethanol and, after the addition of 9.1 parts of N-aminopyrrolidine, the solution is heated to boiling under reflux for 24 hours. The solvent is then evaporated off and the pulverized residue is washed with a little benzene. The dried product is dissolved in 400 parts of water and coupled with a hydrochloric acid diazonium salt solution prepared in a conventional manner from 16 parts of 1-amino-2-chloro-4-nitrosbenzene. If necessary, a little sodium chloride is added to precipitate the dye, the mixture is filtered, washed with 1% sodium chloride solution and dried. A dark brown-red powder results.
J) The coupling component described above can also be prepared in the form of an approximately 53% strength aqueous solution: 18.4 parts of N-ethyl-N-ss-chloroethylaminoQbenzene are mixed in 20 parts of water, and 9.1 parts of N-amino-pyrrolidine are added and the mixture was heated to 90 ° with vigorous stirring. A clear solution has formed after about 2 hours. A further 1.4 parts of dimethyl sulfate are added in order to bind the excess NAmino-pyrrolidine, the mixture is cooled and the preparation obtained is used for azo coupling.
Staining example
20 parts of the dye obtained according to Example 1 are first intimately mixed with 80 parts of dextrin in a ball mill for 48 hours.
1 part of the preparation obtained in this way is made into a paste with 1 part of acetic acid 40 0/0, 400 parts of 600 parts of distilled water are poured over the pulp while constantly shaking and the whole is boiled. It is diluted with 7600 parts of distilled water, 2 parts of glacial acetic acid are added and, at 60, 100 parts of Orlon (registered Sohutz brand) are added to the dye bath. The material was pretreated for 10 to 15 minutes at 60 in a bath of 8,000 parts water and 2 parts glacial acetic acid. It is then heated to 100 within 30 minutes, boiled for 1 hour and rinsed. A level red dyeing of excellent light fastness and very good wet fastness properties is obtained.
Example of the foulard dyeing
To make the block paste you use: 50 g / liter of dye (as in the previous
Dyeing example produced dye preparation)
3 gr / liter sodium alginate
5 g of acetic acid conc.
20 g / liter of a cationic plasticizer e.g.
a condensation product of 1 mol of stearic acid and 1 mol of triethanolamine, 25 gr / liter of Glauber's salt
Polyacrylonitrile fibers are cold padded on a 2- or 3-roll pad using conventional methods. The squeeze-off effect is 80%. After a short intermediate drying at 90 in the stenter, hot flue or with the help of an infrared heater, it is fixed in the nozzle stenter at 170190 for 1-3 minutes with dry air, then rinsed, soaped and rinsed again. A red dyeing with excellent lightfastness properties is obtained.
Print sample
A printing paste consists of:
75 parts of dye (corresponding to that in the above
Dyeing example produced dyeing preparation)
10 parts of acetic acid conc.
450 parts of sodium alginate thickener
25 parts of a cationic plasticizer, e.g. B.
a condensation product of 1 mole of stearic acid and 1 mole of triethanolamine
25 parts of Glauber's salts
415 parts of water 1000 parts
Polyacrylonitrile fibers are printed using the usual hand printing process, the material is then dried in the air, steamed in a star steamer with saturated steam for 20-30 minutes, then rinsed, soaped and rinsed again. A red print with very good fastness properties is obtained.
Other valuable dyes which can be prepared according to the information in Example 1 are listed in the table below.
