Additional patent to main patent no. 246672. Process for the production of an azo carbate. It has been found that a valuable azo carbate can be produced if 1,3-diogynaphthalene is used on the one hand with dianotized 6-nitro-2-amino -1-ogybenzene-4-sulfamide and on the other hand with the diazoazo compound of tetrazotized benzidine and salicylic acid united.
The new dye is a dark powder that dissolves in water and dilute sodium carbonate solution with brown, in dilute caustic alkalis with brownish red, in conc. Sulfuric acid dissolves with a violet color and dyes cotton in washable and light brown shades using the one- or two-bath post-copper plating process.
The coupling of 1,3-diogynaphthalene with the two diazo compounds is preferably carried out in an alkaline, e.g. B. Soda or sodium hydroxide containing medium. Bring the two diazo compounds conveniently one after the other to the coupling, for.
B. the kind that 1,3-diogynaphthalene first combined with diacotized 6 - nitro - 2 - amino -1-ogybenzene-4-sulfamide and the resulting monoazo dye then with the in a known manner from tetrazotized benzidine and .Sali - Cylic acid is coupled diazoazo compound obtained by coupling on one side.
Example: 9.2 parts of benzidine are tetrazotized with hydrochloric acid and sodium nitrite as usual. Combine the clear tetrazo solution for one hour at 5 to 6 with a solution of 8 parts of salicylic acid and 20 parts of sodium carbonate in 80 parts of water. A brown-orange suspension of the diazoazo compound is obtained.
11.65 parts of 6-nitro-2-aminophenol-4-sulf- a mi * d are dianotized in the customary manner with hydrochloric acid and sodium nitrite.
The diazo compound obtained is introduced into a solution of 8.0 parts of 1,3-diogynaphthalene, 8 parts of sodium carbonate and 2 parts of sodium hydrogen in 50 ml of water at 4 to 6 hours in the course of 1/2 hour.
The mixture is stirred for 2 hours at 5 to 10, then for 15 hours at 15 to 20, and the monoazo dye formed is filtered off, if necessary after addition of sodium chloride. Fr is added in paste form to the suspension of the above diazoazo compound.
One hour at 10 to 12 and 24 hours at 18 to 20 hours, heated to 90, the trisazo dye formed is filtered off from the hot reaction mixture after the addition of common salt and dried.
