Abstract

processo para recuperar um catalisador homogêneo. é divulgado um processo para a recuperação extrativa de um catalisador de rutênio homogêneo do pruduto e reação da hidrogenação de ácido glicólico, ésteres de glicolato e/ou oligômeros de ácido glicólico com um extrator que compreende um solvente hidrofóbico e um solvente hidrofílico opcional. o catalisador de rutênio, que pode incluir ligando de 1,1,1-tris(diaril ou dialquilfosfinometil) alcano, pode ser recuperado da fase de extrato hidrofóbico pela retro-extração com um solvente hidrofílico e reciclado a um processo para a preparação de etileno glicol pela hidrogenação de ácido glicólico e derivados de ácido glicólico.
