Abstract

Il procedimento di idrogenazione catalitica della glicerina è volto essenzialmente alla produzione di composti ossigenati aventi da 1 a 3 atomi di carbonio, particolarmente 1,2-propandiolo e acido lattico. Esso prevede di porre a contatto e di far reagire la glicerina con idrogeno in presenza di un catalizzatore al rutenio modificato con solfuri e di una base in condizioni di temperatura di almeno 200°C.
