Abstract

La invencion se refiere a un proceso para la preparacion de polieter de polioxialquileno hidroxilo funcional, sustancialmente libre de metales detransicion. Se pueden preparar polieteres de polioxialquileno substancialmente libres de metales detransicion mediante la oxialquilacion catalizada por uncomplejo de cianuro doblemente metalico de una molecula iniciadora de oxialquilacion hidrica adecuada empleando 15 ppm o menos del catalizador deoxialquilacion complejo de cianurodoble mente metalico que posee una velocidad de polimerizacion del oxido de propileno mayor que 5 g de oxido de propileno/minuto. Los periodos de induccion asociados asociados con la oxialquilacion empleando catalizadores complejos de cianurodoblemen te metalico se puedenreducir preparando lotes maestros preactivados e incrementando la temperatura en el reactor de oxialquilacion durante el periodo de induccion por lo menos.La invencion tambien se refiere a polieter poliol depolioxialquileno hi droxilo funcional preparado por dicho proceso.
