Abstract

Pueden ser preparados polioxialquilenpoliéteres sustancialmente libres de metal de transicion por oxialquilacion catalizada-complejo de cianuro de metal doble en una molécula del iniciador de oxialquilacion hídrica, adecuado, empleando 15 ppm o menos de un catalizador de oxialquilacion complejo de cianuro de metal doble que tiene una velocidad de polimerizacion de oxido de propileno mayor que 5 g de oxido de propileno/minuto. Los períodos de induccion asociados con la oxialquilacion que emplea catalizadores complejos de cianuro de metal doble pueden ser reducidos preparando lotes maestros preactivados e incrementando la temperatura del reactor de oxialquilacion durante por lo menos el período de induccion.
