Abstract
Description
図1は、ガラス板製造装置の一実施形態を示す平面図である。
ローラーコンベア20は、ガラスリボン1の長手方向に延びる搬送路を有し、その搬送路に沿ってガラスリボン1を長手方向に搬送する。また、ガラスリボン1から切り出したガラス板2を搬送する。
縦切り線加工装置30は、ローラーコンベア20によって搬送されるガラスリボン1に対して、ガラスリボン1の両縁部分にガラスリボン1の長手方向に沿って縦切り線L1を加工する。縦切り線L1は、製品部1Aと耳部1Bとを分離するためのスクライブ線であり、製品部1Aと耳部1Bとの境界に入れられる。ガラスリボン1は、この縦切り線L1が加工されることにより、製品部1Aと耳部1Bとに区分けされる。耳部1Bは、製品部1Aの両側に存在するので、縦切り線L1は2本加工される。
横切り線加工装置40は、ローラーコンベア20によって搬送されるガラスリボン1に横切り線L2を加工する。横切り線L2は、ガラスリボン1からガラス板2を切り出すためのスクライブ線であり、前後のガラス板2の境界に入れられる。
フレーム42は、一対の支柱42Aとビーム42Bとを備えた門形状を有する。フレーム42は、ローラーコンベア20を跨いで設置される。一対の支柱42Aは、鉛直に設置される。ビーム42Bは、中空であり、支柱42Aの頂部に水平に設置される。フレーム42は、カッター46の走行方向に沿って配置され、ガラスリボン1の搬送方向に対して傾けて設置される。
カッター駆動ユニット44は、カッター46をガラスリボン1の幅方向に移動させる。上記のように、カッター46は、ガラスリボン1の搬送方向に対して斜めに移動して横切り線L2を加工するので、カッター駆動ユニット44はカッター46が、ガラスリボン1の搬送方向に対して斜めに移動するように駆動する。
カッターガイドユニット48は、横切り線L2が常に一定の位置から加工されるように、すなわち、常に一定の着地点(ガラスリボン1の幅方向の一方側の端部から所定距離離れた地点)にカッター46が着地するように、カッター46の走行をガイドする。
カッター検出ユニット(カッター検出手段)50は、ガラスリボン1の幅方向に移動するカッター46が、あらかじめ設定された第1のカッター検出ポイントと第2のカッター検出ポイントとを通過したことを検出する。第1のカッター検出ポイントは、横切り線L2の加工時におけるカッター46の走行方向(図2において、矢印tの方向)に対して、ガラスリボン1の一方の耳部1B(図2の左側に位置する横切り線L2の切り始め側の耳部)よりも上流側に設定される。また、第2のカッター検出ポイントは、ガラスリボン1の一方の耳部1Bよりも下流側に設定される。すなわち、カッター検出ユニット50は、カッター46が、第1のカッター検出ポイントを通過したことを検出することにより、カッター46が一方の耳部1Bに到達したことを検出し、第2のカッター検出ポイントを通過したことを検出することにより、耳部1Bを通過したことを検出する。
カッター46は、あらかじめ設定された移動開始点と移動終了点との間を移動し、移動開始点から移動終了点に向かって移動する過程でガラスリボン1に横切り線L2を加工する。
横折り装置80は、ローラーコンベア20によって搬送されるガラスリボン1に曲げ応力を付加し、ガラスリボン1を横切り線L2に沿って折る。
耳折り装置90は、ガラスリボン1から切り出されたガラス板2の耳部2Bを縦切り線L1に沿って折り、ガラス板2の製品部2Aから耳部2Bを分離する。
位置検出器130は、ローラーコンベア20によって搬送されるガラスリボン1の幅方向の両端部の位置を検出する。
コントローラー140は、ガラス板製造装置10の全体の動作を統括制御する。すなわち、ローラーコンベア20、縦切り線加工装置30、横切り線加工装置40、横折り装置80、耳折り装置90の動作を制御する。
上記のように、ガラスリボン1は、フロート法やフュージョン法などの一般的なガラスリボンの製造方法で製造されて、ガラス板製造装置10に連続的に給送される。
〈助走板位置調整機構の変形例〉
本例の助走板位置調整機構は、上記実施の形態とは異なり、ガラスリボン1の端面に非接触の機構である。本例の助走板調整機構は、ガラスリボン1の幅方向の少なくとも一方(助走板60が設置されている側)の端部上に設けられ、ガラスリボン1の端面の位置を測定する測定手段と、測定されたガラスリボン1の端面の位置に応じて、助走板60を移動させる移動手段と、を備えている。
前記測定手段の種類は、ガラスリボン1の端面の位置を非接触で測定できる手段であれば特に限定されず、レーザー式センサーが例示される。前記測定手段の設置箇所は、ガラスリボン1の搬送方向において、助走板60よりも上流側に設置されていれば特に限定されず、縦切り線加工装置30よりも上流側であってもよく、助走板60の隣であってもよい。
前記移動手段の種類は、助走板60をガラスリボン1の端面の位置に応じて移動できる手段であれば特に限定されず、サーボモータが例示される。
ガラスリボン1の端面に接触する助走板調整機構の場合、ガラスリボン1の端面が破損したとき、ガラスリボン1の破損した端面にコロ66が接触し、ガラスリボン1の破損の拡大またはコロ66の破損が生じるおそれがある。ガラスリボン1の端面に非接触の助走板調整機構であれば、前記課題が生じるおそれがない。
〈耳折り装置の変形例〉
〔第1の変形例〕
図8は、耳折り装置の第1の変形例を示す正面図である。
図9は、耳折り装置の第2の変形例を示す正面図である。
耳折り装置は、耳部2Bに曲げ応力を付加して、製品部2Aから分離できる構成であればよく、その構成は上記形態に限定されない。
上記実施の形態では、カッター46とともに位置検出器130を移動させているが、位置検出器単体で移動させる構成とすることもできる。
上記実施の形態の縦切り線加工装置30は、耳部を分離するための縦切り線のみを加工する構成としているが、更に製品部を複数に分離するための縦切り線を加工する構成とすることもできる。この場合、製品部を複数に分離するための縦切り線を加工するカッターが別途備えられる。
上記実施の形態のガラス板製造装置10では、縦切り線加工装置30によってガラスリボン1に縦切り線L1を加工した後、横切り線加工装置40によってガラスリボン1に横切り線L2を加工する構成としているが、横切り線加工装置40によってガラスリボン1に横切り線L2を加工した後、縦切り線加工装置30によってガラスリボン1に縦切り線L1を加工する構成とすることもできる。
カッター46による横切り線L2の加工制御は、位置検出器130からの情報を利用して行うこともできる。すなわち、位置検出器130によって、ガラスリボン1の幅方向の両端部の位置を検出できるので、この位置検出器130で検出される情報を利用して、カッター46を押し下げる点(加工開始点)と、カッター46を引き上げる点(加工終了点)を設定し、横切り線L2の加工を行う。

Claims (13)
- ガラスリボンの長手方向に延びる搬送路を有し、前記搬送路に沿って長手方向に前記ガラスリボンを搬送するとともに、前記ガラスリボンから切り出されるガラス板を搬送する搬送手段と、
前記搬送路に沿って搬送中の前記ガラスリボンに対して、前記ガラスリボンの幅方向の両縁部に前記ガラスリボンの長手方向に沿って縦切り線を加工し、前記縦切り線によって前記ガラスリボンを製品部と耳部とに区分する縦切り線加工手段と、
前記搬送路に沿って搬送中の前記ガラスリボンに対して、前記ガラスリボンの幅方向に横切り線を加工する横切り線加工手段と、
前記搬送路に沿って搬送中の前記ガラスリボンを前記横切り線に沿って折り、前記ガラスリボンから前記ガラス板を切り出す横折り手段と、
前記搬送路に沿って搬送中の前記ガラス板を前記縦切り線に沿って折り、前記ガラス板の製品部から耳部を分離する耳折り手段と、
前記耳折り手段を前記ガラス板の搬送方向と直交する方向に移動させて、前記耳折り手段の設置位置を調整する位置調整手段と、
前記搬送路に沿って搬送中の前記ガラスリボンの幅方向の端部の位置を検出する検出手段と、
前記ガラスリボンの幅方向の端部の位置の変化に追従して前記耳折り手段の設置位置が変化するように、前記検出手段の検出結果に基づいて前記位置調整手段を制御する制御手段と、
を備えるガラス板製造装置。 - 前記横切り線加工手段は、
前記ガラスリボンの幅方向に移動する移動体と、
前記移動体に備えられ、前記ガラスリボンに押圧当接されるカッターと、
を備え、
前記検出手段は、前記移動体に備えられ、前記カッターとともに移動して、前記搬送路を搬送中の前記ガラスリボンの幅方向の端部の位置を検出する請求項1に記載のガラス板製造装置。 - 前記横切り線加工手段は、
前記ガラスリボンに対して前記カッターの着地をガイドするガイド部材と、
前記ガラスリボンの幅方向の端部の位置の変化に追従するように、前記ガイド部材の設置位置を調整するガイド部材位置調整手段と、
を更に備える請求項2に記載のガラス板製造装置。 - 前記ガイド部材位置調整手段は、
前記ガイド部材を前記カッターの移動方向に沿って移動自在に支持する支持手段と、
前記ガラスリボンの幅方向の一方の端面に当接される当接部材と、
前記当接部材と前記ガイド部材とを連結する連結部材と、
前記当接部材を前記ガラスリボンに向けて付勢する付勢手段と、
を備える請求項3に記載のガラス板製造装置。 - 前記カッターを前記ガラスリボンの主表面に対して進退移動させるカッター進退移動手段と、
前記ガラスリボンの幅方向の一方から他方に向かって移動する前記カッターが、一方の前記耳部に到達したこと、及び、一方の前記耳部を通過したことを検出するカッター検出手段と、
前記カッターが一方の前記耳部に到達したことが検出されると、前記カッターの押圧力が第1の押圧力となるように、前記カッター進退移動手段を制御し、かつ、前記カッターが一方の前記耳部を通過したことが検出されると、前記カッターの押圧力が前記第1の押圧力よりも強い第2の押圧力となるように、前記カッター進退移動手段を制御するカッター押圧力制御手段と、
を更に備える請求項4に記載のガラス板製造装置。 - 前記カッター検出手段は、
前記ガラスリボンの幅方向の一方から他方に向かって移動する前記カッターが、第1のカッター検出ポイントを通過したことを検出して、前記カッターが、一方の前記耳部に到達したことを検出する第1のカッター検出手段と、
前記ガラスリボンの幅方向の一方から他方に向かって移動する前記カッターが、第2のカッター検出ポイントを通過したことを検出して、前記カッターが、一方の前記耳部を通過したことを検出する第2のカッター検出手段と、
を備え、前記ガイド部材に連結されて、前記ガイド部材と共に移動する請求項5に記載のガラス板製造装置。 - 前記カッターによる前記横切り線の加工開始点と加工終了点とを設定するカッター加工範囲設定手段を更に備え、
前記カッター加工範囲設定手段は、前記ガラスリボンの幅方向の端部の位置の変化に追従して前記カッターによる前記横切り線の加工開始点と加工終了点とが変化するように、前記検出手段の検出結果に基づいて、前記カッターによる前記横切り線の加工開始点と加工終了点とを設定する請求項4に記載のガラス板製造装置。 - ガラスリボンの長手方向に延びる搬送路に沿って長手方向に搬送中の前記ガラスリボンに対して、前記ガラスリボンの幅方向の両縁部に前記ガラスリボンの長手方向に沿って縦切り線を加工し、前記縦切り線によって前記ガラスリボンを製品部と耳部とに区分する工程と、
前記搬送路に沿って搬送中の前記ガラスリボンに対して、前記ガラスリボンの幅方向に横切り線を加工する工程と、
前記搬送路に沿って搬送中の前記ガラスリボンを前記横切り線に沿って折り、前記ガラスリボンからガラス板を切り出す工程と、
前記搬送路に沿って搬送中の前記ガラス板を耳折り手段を用いて前記縦切り線に沿って折り、前記ガラス板の製品部から耳部を分離する工程と、
を備えるガラス板製造方法であって、
前記搬送路に沿って搬送中の前記ガラスリボンの幅方向の端部の位置を検出し、前記ガラスリボンの幅方向の端部の位置の変化に追従して前記耳折り手段の設置位置を変化させるガラス板製造方法。 - 前記ガラスリボンの幅方向の端部の位置は、前記ガラスリボンの幅方向の端部の位置を検出する検出手段を前記ガラスリボンの幅方向に移動させて検出する請求項8に記載のガラス板製造方法。
- 前記横切り線は、前記ガラスリボンの幅方向にカッターを移動させて加工し、
前記ガラスリボンの幅方向の端部の位置は、前記カッターとともに前記検出手段を移動させて検出する請求項9に記載のガラス板製造方法。 - 前記ガラスリボンに対して前記カッターの着地をガイドするガイド部材を設け、前記ガラスリボンの幅方向の端部の位置の変化に追従するように、前記ガイド部材の設置位置を調整する請求項10に記載のガラス板製造方法。
- 前記ガラスリボンの幅方向の一方から他方に向かって移動する前記カッターが、一方の前記耳部に到達したこと、及び、一方の前記耳部を通過したことを検出し、
前記カッターが一方の前記耳部に到達すると、前記カッターの押圧力が第1の押圧力となるように、前記カッターの押圧力を制御し、
前記カッターが一方の前記耳部を通過すると、前記カッターの押圧力が前記第1の押圧力よりも強い第2の押圧力となるように、前記カッターの押圧力を制御する請求項11に記載のガラス板製造方法。 - 前記ガラスリボンの幅方向の端部の位置の変化に追従して前記カッターによる前記横切り線の加工開始点と加工終了点とを変化させる請求項11に記載のガラス板製造方法。
