日立ツール株式会社製のラジアスエンドミル(商品名:EPP4040-10-TH、4枚刃、刃径4mm、コーナ半径1mm、刃長4mm、首下長さ6mm、首径3.8mm、全長60mm、シャンク径4mm、実験例1の本発明のラジアスエンドミル1と同じWC基超硬合金製基体及び同じTiSiN皮膜を有する。)を用いて仕上げ加工を行った以外は、実験例1と同様の条件でポケット加工を行った。

Claims (7)
- 工具本体の先端部の切れ刃部が、中心軸回りに配列した複数の底刃と、前記底刃の半径方向外周側に連続する円弧状の複数のラジアス刃と、前記ラジアス刃の半径方向外周側に連続するとともに、刃溝に沿って前記工具本体の後端部側へに延設された複数の外周刃とを有するラジアスエンドミルであって、
前記底刃は半径方向に内周側底刃と外周側底刃とに区分され、
前記ラジアス刃は、前記工具本体の切削時における前記ラジアス刃の最下点が、前記外周側底刃と前記ラジアス刃との境界から前記ラジアス刃と前記外周刃との境界までの区間に位置する形状をし、
前記複数の内周側底刃の2番面は前記中心軸寄りの部分において互いにつながり、前記工具本体の先端部を端面側から見たとき、前記複数の内周側底刃のつながった2番面の領域は前記中心軸を含む領域から各内周側底刃の半径方向外周側に向けて帯状に連続し、この帯状の領域の幅は前記中心軸側から半径方向外周側に向けて次第に拡大していることを特徴とするラジアスエンドミル。 - 前記ラジアス刃の2番面と前記外周側底刃の2番面との境界と、前記外周側底刃との交点は、前記ラジアス刃のすくい面と前記底刃のすくい面との境界と、前記外周側底刃、もしくは前記ラジアス刃との交点とは異なる位置にあることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のラジアスエンドミル。
- 前記ラジアス刃の2番面と前記外周側底刃の2番面との境界と、前記外周側底刃との交点は、前記ラジアス刃のすくい面と前記底刃のすくい面との境界と、前記外周側底刃との交点より半径方向外周側に位置していることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のラジアスエンドミル。
- 前記工具本体の先端部を端面側から見たとき、前記複数の底刃は中心軸回りに工具本体の回転方向に均等に配列していることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれかに記載のラジアスエンドミル。
- 前記ラジアス刃の曲率半径は刃径の1%~30%の範囲にあることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれかに記載のラジアスエンドミル。
- 前記底刃は2~8枚であり、少なくとも切れ刃を構成する基体がWC基超硬合金で形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項5のいずれかに記載のラジアスエンドミル。
- 前記ラジアス刃の内、前記外周側底刃と前記ラジアス刃との境界から前記ラジアス刃と前記外周刃との境界までの区間が一定の曲率半径を有する請求項1乃至請求項6のいずれかに記載のラジアスエンドミルを用い、ポケット形状を有する溝部が形成された被削材に対し、次の条件式(1)及び(2)を満たすように軸方向切込みを設定し、前記溝部の等高線加工を行うことを特徴とする切削加工方法。
